[6S][4k] Unstoppable CSX Trains in Nasty Weather, CSX Abbeville Subdivision, GA 02/23/2019 ©mbmars01

- The rain couldn't stop CSX trains to race along the Abbeville Sub on a nasty day - and the railfan neither, because CSX had some goodies to offer: CP AC44 power on an ethanol train and a lashup exclusively consisting of Dash 8 and Dash 9 CSX locomotives, which are not common sights on this CSX line anymore. Enjoy!
Note: This video has been recorded and produced in 4k Ultra-HD resolution.

"...and the dark steel serpent emerges from the mist, it's bright eyes flashing and gleaming..." Lol. Excellent work! Another enjoyable vid, which is why I subbed in the first place. You never let me down. At the 6:00 mark, the angle that you chose and the lighting made it almost look like a model train. Kudos for going out in the rain to give us rail fans something to treasure.
Wow, that's really poetic! I like it :) I totally agree: Many scenes that I record appear to me as if I had filmed them on a model railroad layout, which is good for us model railroaders. We aren't doing that bad, obviously, if reality and model come that close.
Just loved that long panoramic shot of that tank train meet as well as the angle shot as it took the siding . You are a master indeed at choosing just the right spot to shoot from . Well done & keep 'em coming !!
Thanks very much! I'll do my very best :)
Nice video, from the looks of the trees it seems spring has sprung! I agree, catching a consist of dash 8's is kind of rare today.
Oh yea, it's spring - and keep in mind this was already filmed at the end of February.
Nice captures with the camera zoomed out. Nice effect. Excellent video.
Thanks! I'm happy it came out well. When filming under these conditions you never know what you get.
Hi MBMARS nicely done as always I enjoyed this video. I cannot believe how huge the tank cars were in this video. CP train was funny to me one buffer car behind engine one at end of train. Love you shot of the train coming around the corner never tire of that. Thanks for this video
Thank you so much! The loaded ethanol trains always have a buffer car behind the engines and at the end. This is a safety feature in case of a collision. I know, I also like these curve shots if the light is right.
Thank MBMARS for the explanation on the ethanol train it explains why the empties did
not have a buffer on the end of there train.
Terrific catches/power/Meets! Nice horn show. University of Georgia is located in Athens.
Thanks! Yep, that's true.
excellent video friend, I missed your videos do not stop sharing videos. They are excellent and enjoyable for those of us who like railroads. Greetings from Tula, Hidalgo. Mexico.
Thanks so much. I never stopped making videos, though. Just keep watching as long as you like the vids :)
Another fine video compliation. Thanks much!!!!
Cool, thanks for watching!
Amazing video! Thank You for your recording in nasty weather! Thumb up!
Cool, thank you. The weather doesn't really bother me. Bad is only the vapor that is sprayed on the lens. I cleaned it probably 10 times on that day, but it didn't help much.
Great catches! Nice to see how at the end of the video there's always a preview to an upcoming one!
Thanks. Yea, there's no end to it :)
Astonishing work👍
Thank you so much!
You’re welcome:)
Great stuff. Tuff getting caught in a rain storm.
Thanks for the good work.
Many thanks!
Excellent video. Cool shots in the rain loved it.
Thank you! The shots in the rain never really disappoint, but the rain is wet, sometimes very wet lol
Another great video. Please keep them coming. All the best Mick U.K.
Thanks, I will! Greetings back to the UK.
cool im gonna go trainhopping in 10 years love this channel >3
Haha, have fun :) Thanks!
Have fun in jail loser
Another great video and catches, well done.
Thank you so much!
interesting the last auto-rack the CN logo is completely different , a new version ?
I keep seeing more and more burnt loco's.... turbo issues? Runaway engines? Pretty interesting.
@mbmars01 Didn't you have fun with CSX Dash 8's and Dash 9's last month? Maybe CSX can order the 9100 series numbers on CSX standard cab Dash 9's on it's roster, but is that real?
That was a great video. I liked it a lot, thanks for sharing.😉👍👍
You're very welcome! Good you liked it. There will be much more in the near future.
great video
Thanks!
mbmars01- MOW through Taylors,SC heading towards Greer. One part of the MOW came through the crossing, the gates went up, then another part of the MOW came through with horns blasting and the gates did not go down. I don't know what is going on around here lately.
Not all MoW vehicles can initiate the crossing gates. That's why they typically make a lot of noise or crossings are even flagged by railroad people.
@@mbmars01 Thank you for your reply. That is another reason I always stop at crossings. I see lots of people just zip across. Some even stop on the tracks during rush hour because traffic gets backed up from the light on US29. The other day, it was a high-railer. Your videos are great and I love that you take the time to answer questions.
It's always a good idea to be careful when crossing the tracks. One just never knows what may come. Great, I know you like the videos and I appreciate it. It's also nice to get feedback and I try to respond whenever possible and time permits it :)
Great video, of course when I railfan that line I only get YN3 GEVOs
Thanks. Well, we have the Abbeville Sub Railfan Group on Facebook and I typically post what I see there. Feel free to join!
Great video as always my friend.😎😎👍👍👍
Cool, thanks. I'm happy you enjoyed it like so many other videos here :)
Great video top
Thanks!
Super video!
Thank you!
Great video nice catches
Thanks!
Great
Thx :)
whats with eugene stoner he's not a train buff . i like this video and i thank you for going out in all weathers for us train fans
Oh he's just concerned about artificial intelligence taking over human tasks (it started with our communication about crewless trains) - and that's understandable. Great you like the video!
What are the buffer cars for?
They serve as protection in case of a collision.
Great!
Thank ya!
Are you on the Abbeville Sub Facebook group?
I'm actually the administrator of the "CSX Abbeville Sub Railfan Group".
GOD Great Video. Except For The Weather
Thanks!
Love This Video 😘
Very cool :)
Cool vid
Good you like it!
you should see my profile pic. MB u actually Caught NS 8872 Couple Years Ago ON NS 192. Correction On That Video (cannot find that video) 192 Runs From Augusta-Linwood Picks Up Cars In Charleston (338) And Goes North.
Oh well, I don't remember it lol.
Nice
Thx :)
I'm a little disappointed, you title said "Nasty Weather", I from Michigan, I was expecting to see the trains 'plowing' through snow, from a foot up to two or three foot. While it's enjoyable to watch those trains do their thing, I was expecting something different. Yes I understand wet track can create havoc for them, it didn't meet my understanding of "Nasty Weather".
Lol, I know weather impressions are relative. Cold and wet is nasty for us in the south, but I understand that you in the north have a different scale. Never mind, the video is about the trains and not the weather :)
Any ns railfanning coming up?
I spent a couple hours at Bridge last Saturday after the Atlanta train show.
@@mbmars01 I was at the train show
Ah nice. Last year's was better, though.
salam kenal

Great catches MBMARS01 and can u check out my new video and it's common on K447 but its uncommon when CP,NS,UP are together on a Mix freight
K447 has foreign power at times. Our mixed freight trains have typically CSX power only.
@@mbmars01 well some might have Foriegn powers on them ( not to disagree with u )
Lol, I know :)
