On both devices, the art turned out amazing! Also- I could tell that you would be the perfectionist type of person and the phone probably got on your nerves a million times (I was born with a perfectionist gene where phones are usually the issue at play the entire time). You’re one of the best artists I know on RUclips so a phone shall not stop you in your determination to make a gorgeous piece of art. ☺️
Used to draw on my phone with my finger years ago. I've bought a stylus since then and the lines are more refined. It's a fun experience, especially when you're on the go and have no time to sit out for a drawing.
You probably get this a lot, but I have to thank you a ton for making videos and just existing overall! You have no idea how much this helps. I’ve been struggling with motivation to draw ever since quarantine occurred. You absolutely inspire me to draw and honestly have brought back the fun in drawing for me.
I am a digital artist on an iPad without an apple pencil and I would say it’s pretty easy once you get the hang of it. 5:02 Also no those are not the reasons why I draw on my iPad. It’s because 1. My uses his laptop for work so I can’t do anything really 2. It’s kinda hard.. 3. There’s no drawing app on our laptop and PC.
I started out digital art drawing on my phone with my finger (my pfp was done on there) so it’s become easy for me, but I can see how it’s a lot harder to do if you aren’t used to it. In my case, when I first saved up for my art tablet I had trouble adjusting to it. You can do really good art pieces on mobile but it will take alot more time than if you were to use a tablet, but while a tablet is definitely better- if you only have a phone- the video shows that you can still make pretty good art on it very well!
I've been using a phone to draw for as long as I can remember and honestly whenever I see people draw on a computer It looks really difficult. I think the perspective on other ways of drawing is determined on what you already do or what you're adapted to. It makes sense
Everyone has different talents in drawing, I'm normally a traditional artist but I have made a LOT of art on my phone due to moving around a lot, school, etc. So I have really gotten used to drawing digitally on phone. BIG TIP: Ibis Paint X is GREAT for phone with a stabilizer I really use Ibis Paint for sketching out my characters for my book. But just know everyone is different.
Your drawings made me improve so much, and I LOVE short art tutorial vids, you explain art hacks like it’s so easy🤸♀️ I LOVE YOUR ART KEEP MAKING VIDS AND TUTORIALS. NEVER STOP 😼👍
Heh heh 5 months late But I’m an iPad user and I use ibis paint x and realized after a few weeks there is a lasso fill tool where literally no one would look You can go to the liquify pen, click the tiny settings button in the bottom right corner and change it to lasso fill Hope this helps any that uses ibis paint x :)
*Sorry if i sound rude but* 1. Theres a brush like your custom brush in ibispaint X 2. Theres such thing as lowering the opacity of the layer just in case you dont know 3. You gotta make more tutorials about ibis 4.yes , im broke 5. Im suprised you forgot one of the most important things- The liquify tool on ibis and the flip canvas button on both apps
I draw on my phone, it's hell so i was planning on saving up to buy a tablet and borrow my moms laptop once in a while lmao. Love your vids keep it up!
Well i know it's kind of hard to do in phone but hey practice makes improvement and as a person who have one and a half year experience to do digital art in phone I have to say it was just hard at first with fingers and it needed me quite a while to get used to draw something that looks ok with my fingers and after some months I improved my work and now I use a stylus though still with a phone and I hv to say that made a huge improvement and currently the picture of my profile picture is one of my most recent work I did and I m satisfied with it though I still want to improve . So to everyone it is ok if you don't hv any fancy tools to work with for now but with your dedication and effort it's possible to make some really good looking art on your phone and later in other devices you can futher improve yourself
kooleen heres a tip to do glasses, in the top u can see a finger, press that finger and it will show drawing tool, then theres shapes, u can use any but i would use the circle shape for the glasses. Hope this helps!
I always draw on my phone. I've even finagled a way to do animations, mostly by doing the "onion skin" on different layers and just changing the opacity and using different colors. But! I used MediBang paint and my phone, the Samsung Note 20 has a pen so I don't have to use my fingers. I drew my icon with my phone as well as several of my RUclips videos. It takes awhile to get used to it, but it's not impossible!
I've been drawing on my phone with my finger for so long I actually find it more comfortable- I know it would probably be easier to buy a tablet but I don't even care anymore
1: They're broke ✅ 2: They wanna flex✅ 3: They're broke and wanna flex✅ I relate to these reasons on a spiritual level 🗿 Atleast We can draw using ✨ Fingers ✨ U👄U💅

Facts, -coming from someone with only like four months of practice on iphone. Lmao i used to use my ipad but it was rly old and didn’t work well, so i just, tried to make a body on my iPhone, works surprisingly well
Same! Although, I've learned that for ibis it's easier to make your sketch on paper then upload s picture of it and draw a layer above it.. saves so much more time and you already have most of your lines there, you just gotta trace XD
Tbh kooleen really is so talented and skilled cause even using a small screen, she can make it attractive and nice ngl😭, i really luv ur arts and ur voice too. I'm so lucky i found u on tiktok!! 🤍 U deserve better. Keep making digital arts! G'luck.
I can sort of draw on a phone, the screen is just too small for me but I have no problem with an iPad since it's bigger. I am terrible at drawing on a computer
ayo this is so much better than my phone art even better than my tablet and pc art to! your such a great artist and i love your tutorials! and ofc ur original drawing videos to and have a great day :3
5:07 I draw on my phone and that’s why my art sucks, and yes this is true. I mean just look at my pfp, that should give you enough evidence that my art sucks.
As an artist who started drawing digitally on my phone since I didn’t own something like a computer or iPad, that looks really good. Now I’m just jealous on how you managed to draw on your phone and it was pretty similar to how you draw on your computer(just less detail). Now I’m gonna continue to be nonexistent.
I fall into the broke category lmao… use that exact app. Luckily I have a $10 second-hand tablet (that crashes every 5 minutes 😅) and a ROUNDED stylus I found literally in the grass outside- Ha. Hahahahaha. It’s been three years of this torture. :’) Edit for fun facts: the stylus doesn’t work when the tablet’s charging, and the tablet can’t have more than two apps or it won’t open. Also it gradually gets slower and slower as I work, until the time between when I draw a line and when it appears is about a minute, by which point I’m BEGGING for it to crash and reset. Also also it will occasionally decide it doesn’t like certain spots on my drawing and swerve around them no matter what I do. Fricken weird lol. It tries its best though.
idk if u knew this but if u are on ibis paint and u like a brush and dont wanna lose it u can click the plus sign on the left of the brush then go to where u look at all the brushes u can click "custom" at the top of the brushes and itll show u the brushes u added so its technically a favorites thing for brushes and itll show u 4 brushes u recently used.( i hope this helped if u didnt know this)

I am broke but I bought a samsung tablet yknow the ones which have the pens in it im pretty sure it was s7 fe so ye
This proves this is not the materials but the artist 😭😭
On both devices, the art turned out amazing! Also- I could tell that you would be the perfectionist type of person and the phone probably got on your nerves a million times (I was born with a perfectionist gene where phones are usually the issue at play the entire time). You’re one of the best artists I know on RUclips so a phone shall not stop you in your determination to make a gorgeous piece of art. ☺️
Used to draw on my phone with my finger years ago. I've bought a stylus since then and the lines are more refined. It's a fun experience, especially when you're on the go and have no time to sit out for a drawing.
I recently gave up on art but watching your videos really makes me want to start again
I LOVED BOTH- THEY'RE LITERALLY SO GOOD- 😭✨ Also, can you please tell me which brushes you used for Ibispaint X?? :O
3:50 "Oh, you want some?" "There's smth on your mouth" *casually wiping mouth with deadly smile*
Kooleen mastering the ways of a fictional hearthrob 😩
You probably get this a lot, but I have to thank you a ton for making videos and just existing overall! You have no idea how much this helps. I’ve been struggling with motivation to draw ever since quarantine occurred. You absolutely inspire me to draw and honestly have brought back the fun in drawing for me.
I am a digital artist on an iPad without an apple pencil and I would say it’s pretty easy once you get the hang of it.
5:02 Also no those are not the reasons why I draw on my iPad. It’s because
1. My uses his laptop for work so I can’t do anything really
2. It’s kinda hard..
3. There’s no drawing app on our laptop and PC.
There is but its so pixelated and the others are like 19256780$
Tip for drawing straight lines in ibisPaint: when turning on the stabilizer, put the method on after and you’ll get straight lines.
8:05 the eye- the left eye. looks huge trust the process i guess
Once you get better you’ll see how easy is to draw on computer.
bro your first sketch on the phone i was like oh this is different
and it went to an absolute masterpiece how do u do it
Everyone has different talents in drawing, I'm normally a traditional artist but I have made a LOT of art on my phone due to moving around a lot, school, etc.
NEVER STOP 😼👍
kooleen YOU. ARE. A. GODDESS! doin' all that in one layer?!! ur amazing!
There are some perks to using phone, like accesibility, compactness, and its much more easier to hide the pictures there than on the computer
Fun fact about ibis: you can create custom brushes by going to the create sections. You can also save your favourite ones
Heh heh 5 months late
But I’m an iPad user and I use ibis paint x and realized after a few weeks there is a lasso fill tool where literally no one would look
You can go to the liquify pen, click the tiny settings button in the bottom right corner and change it to lasso fill
Hope this helps any that uses ibis paint x :)
3:16 you look soo cuteee and gorgeoussss ngl 😩💯
*Sorry if i sound rude but*
1. Theres a brush like your custom brush in ibispaint X
2. Theres such thing as lowering the opacity of the layer just in case you dont know
3. You gotta make more tutorials about ibis
4.yes , im broke
5. Im suprised you forgot one of the most important things-
The liquify tool on ibis and the flip canvas button on both apps
I draw on my phone with my finger all the time, in my phone art opinion you did a pretty good job 👏
2:33 okay but that line 👌
I draw on my phone, it's hell so i was planning on saving up to buy a tablet and borrow my moms laptop once in a while lmao. Love your vids keep it up!
why is kooleen literally so prettyyy
I used to draw on my phone a lot, to the point I was so used to it I actually found it easier than drawing with a drawing tablet for a while 💀
Same but I find it easy to draw in the phone more than drawing in the ipad
kooleen heres a tip to do glasses, in the top u can see a finger, press that finger and it will show drawing tool, then theres shapes, u can use any but i would use the circle shape for the glasses. Hope this helps!
I love how kooleen just pronounces “drawing” as “drewing” I honestly love it
I always draw on my phone. It takes awhile to get used to it, but it's not impossible!
the art is so good i could never
I use IbsPaint x and for the blush I'd most likely recommend the Airbrush ( Triangle ) because it's more smooth. Anyways love your videos!
I've been drawing on my phone with my finger for so long I actually find it more comfortable-
I know it would probably be easier to buy a tablet but I don't even care anymore
As a person who only uses their phone to do digital art, I see this as an absolute win
1: They're broke ✅
2: They wanna flex✅
3: They're broke and wanna flex✅
I relate to these reasons on a spiritual level 🗿
Atleast We can draw using ✨ Fingers ✨
U👄U💅
I've been drawing on my phone for almost four years now... with only my dear fingers. It has not been a wonderful experience at first but it gets better :'D
Facts, -coming from someone with only like four months of practice on iphone. Lmao i used to use my ipad but it was rly old and didn’t work well, so i just, tried to make a body on my iPhone, works surprisingly well
I draw from like 1 year, and it's very impressive how much I improved, nothingness
Same! Although, I've learned that for ibis it's easier to make your sketch on paper then upload s picture of it and draw a layer above it.. saves so much more time and you already have most of your lines there, you just gotta trace XD
How do you draw the eyes so good? You really have a unique gift
Tbh kooleen really is so talented and skilled cause even using a small screen, she can make it attractive and nice ngl😭, i really luv ur arts and ur voice too. I'm so lucky i found u on tiktok!! 🤍 U deserve better. Keep making digital arts! G'luck.
4:52
that's why i draw on my phone
and also i can't draw on paper or ipad / computer, anyone else relate to me?
Same
I can sort of draw on a phone, the screen is just too small for me but I have no problem with an iPad since it's bigger. I am terrible at drawing on a computer

Kooleen quote : work smart not hard
ayo this is so much better than my phone art even better than my tablet and pc art to! your such a great artist and i love your tutorials! and ofc ur original drawing videos to and have a great day :3
1:47 just give him red eyes and he'll look like Callisto from Death is the only ending for a villainess
1:34 How realistic
I love the vibes u give us ❤️
2:05 what a beautiful Hand 😂
Me who just uses pen and paper:Clear look of superiority.
My trick to making art on my phone is to start of with a traditional art sketch, then I just take a picture of it and do the line art and so on
*drawing with fingers seems like a form of torture to get info from people*
It is
i sometimes do and ur right٫ it should be a torture method to kill
5:07 I draw on my phone and that’s why my art sucks, and yes this is true. I mean just look at my pfp, that should give you enough evidence that my art sucks.
I also have a mini phone- and I’ve got *jUiCy* thumbs so-
WHY ARE YOU SO PRETTY
6:57 girls will understand🤪
......i should go touch some grass
9:50 _* laughs in knowing thumb artist in the gacha club community *_
As an artist who started drawing digitally on my phone since I didn’t own something like a computer or iPad, that looks really good. Now I’m just jealous on how you managed to draw on your phone and it was pretty similar to how you draw on your computer(just less detail). Now I’m gonna continue to be nonexistent.
I draw on my phone WITH FINGERS...and it takes a LOT of time 😭
3:33
i like on how kooleen looks like shes needs help lol
Tip use the middle and thumb put the middle on top of the index and put the thumb on the bottom of the index
3:58 kooleen gigachad jaw moment
Imagine having a date and ur dates doesn't stop sponsoring a japan box btw even on nokia ur better than me on drawing 😭
I liked my own comment as always c; edit: and this one 2 :>
This one 2
As someone who draws on a phone a lot I highly recommend getting a Stylus it will make your life SOOO much easier
I fall into the broke category lmao… use that exact app. Luckily I have a $10 second-hand tablet (that crashes every 5 minutes 😅) and a ROUNDED stylus I found literally in the grass outside-
Ha. Hahahahaha.
It’s been three years of this torture. :’)
Edit for fun facts: the stylus doesn’t work when the tablet’s charging, and the tablet can’t have more than two apps or it won’t open.
Oof
I use a 50$ amazon tablet to draw (yes, i am really cheap lol)

bish you forgot i am broke😶🌫
9:34 Why does the left one lowkey look like Seonghwa from ATEEZ?
idk if u knew this but if u are on ibis paint and u like a brush and dont wanna lose it u can click the plus sign on the left of the brush then go to where u look at all the brushes u can click "custom" at the top of the brushes and itll show u the brushes u added so its technically a favorites thing for brushes and itll show u 4 brushes u recently used.( i hope this helped if u didnt know this)
2:54 Why does he look like Charlie- (CG5)
if charlie got wilburified lmao xdyiwegfbakgyrf
