      It's very frustrating. We do ACTUAL manual lymph drainage at my spa and people are so confused because they've gotten services somewhere else claiming to be lymph drainage and they expect it to be whatever random crap they made up there.

      Totally, u don't want to stimulate the muscle u want to drain the lymph fluid which is right under the surface of the skin and that can only be moved softly and slowly ...

    Loved this. I know many people think this isn't true lymphatic drainage, but the light technique is from the Vodder method. This is a true Brazilian style technique, proof is in the pudding...myself and my clients that do it regularly know!

    Hello, you didn't received a properly lymphatic drainage, you received a mixed treatment ( bamboo massage + lymphatic + Swedish massage + body wrap) most therapist or SPA mix treatments techniques ( its normal) but some clients need receive a pure and genuine lymphatic drainage massage specially people that are recovering from cancer and operations, By the way I liked the treatment was very good because you looks active person and in good health . Obs: I am a massage therapist for 10 years

    It would seem, from the dozen of these that I’ve watched. That everything is ‘worth it’ so long as your viewer is the target audience of: incredibly wealthy, has the luxury of copious amounts of free time and lives in a 3 mile radius of downtown NYC... what the wellness? Try WTF.

    Not “Lymphatic Drainage Massage”! This is very misleading to the public. Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a very superficial, light massage. Using specific pump techniques that is both rhythmic and repetitive. It typically would never be used to treat the whole body as it is used to treat an actual problem, i.e. lymphedema, injury, post op, arthritis, other inflammatory conditions. As for the rest of the treatment... I have been in the “wellness” business for 20 years as a Licensed Massage Therapist. I’ve worked in high end spas and private practice. “Detox” is a buzz word. Your body knows how to process byproduct and toxins on it’s own. If you want to “detox”, just support your body’s systems by eating well and exercising.

      brenna gardner, Factual education is essential to health and wellness. Massage itself has often been treated as neutral to well being, as if it does not have health benefits but of couse it does as do many other approaches to health. We are board certified physicians in wellness medicine. The primary reason for disease in our Industrial age is due to the body storing toxins from our food, water, air and environment in general along with utilizing toxic products directly on our bodies. The number one way to help cells and tissues remove stagnant waste toxins is to change the way the cells are pumping, the pressure on the inside pressing against the outside of the cell and vice versa. While exercise and good diet help, the primary way to change the pumping of cells to be more efficient and effective is to change the osmotic pressure intra and extracellularly. This requires energy, i.e., current. Electrical (or current) changes occur when the ionic bonding changes within the cellular structure, more negative to positive ions and vice versa. This causes cellular changes in pressure and ensures the cells are able to rid themselves of waste. Think of the cells being squeezed inside and out. Lymphatic massage and exercise (including rebounding) are not near as powerful as osmotic pressure changes due to changes brought about by the charge in the cells changing quickly and comprehensively through ionic cellular changes brought about by an electrical charge. The most effective, direct, and safe way to do this is with an ionic foot bath. It must be done consistently, usually for months several times per week. To be efficient with time and costs, this is best done with a home machine. There are NO fast routes to a deep and comprehensive detox of the whole body. However foot detox is faster than other methods. Fast detox on its own without a way for the body to remove toxins, such as occurs with some herbal and other treatments causes a healing crisis that is unnecessary. The reason this occurs is due to lack of the cells being able to efficiently pump the cells and thereby push toxins out. To effectively reach the goal regular treatments are needed over an extended period. The foot detox is imperative to provide the means for the body to eliminate without stagnating toxins in various elimination routes in the body. Cramping for example is a common issue when detoxing improperly as is feeling a malaise or sickness during the process. Good detox can be done almost daily and be augmented by other means to support a healthy body without down time and feeling ill. There are some health conditions such as a pace maker or epilepsy and bleeding issues, pregnancy, lactation, etc., that are contraindicated for ionic foot bath use however most of us can make use of this method giving us the ability to take back our health and maintain it much more quickly and thoroughly than with other methods. This can be a stand alone treatment but as with all things health and wellness, it’s best to augment with other safe and effective methods.

    As a certified lymphatic drainage LMT this is NOT Lymphatic drainage. Lymph drainage massage is very light and any pressure is only supposed to be directed towards the heart. This is very misleading, and ineffective if done differently.

      I would add - Things that are mislabeled are dangerous to the public as it causes confusion
      So again- I say this is NOT Lymphatic Drainage - ask any Licensed Massage Therapist or Licensed Acupuncturist Licensed PT- I'm a Licensed Acupuncturist and I have been asked many times to do a Lymphatic Drainage treatment- Although I could as its safely inside my Scope of Practice- it's not something I got trained in nor did I do any extra training in it after graduating- so I always refer Lymphatic Drainage to a Licensed Massage therapist who does it and is trained in it

    • @ToddDouglasFox
      @ToddDouglasFox Год назад

      @@jenny-DD there are many recognized lymphatic massage techniques such as IMT, Chikly, Vodder, and yes jade rolling. Jade rolling is as it’s name says, utilizing jade and rolling (mostly on the face). The rolling stick used in this video (although not jade) could have aided in addressing the lymphatic however the technique must be done correctly and the video doesn’t show the technique (such as following the lymphatic system). As I say above massage and rebounding can help the body detox (everyday activities pump the lymphatics) however nothing changes the osmotic pressure (inner and outer pressure on the cells) as does current via an ionic foot bath. It’s the pumping of the individual cells throughout the body that brings the pressure internally and externally to the cell membrane that is needed to most effectively and thoroughly assist the lymphatics so that they can better remove toxins from cells safely and efficiently into the bloodstream where they can be eliminated through the kidneys and into the urinary tract. In most cases, the foot baths are done weekly, monthly, or yearly. This infrequency does little to detox the body. We have found that 3 consecutive days on and 4 days off over several months is what is needed to get the desired results and subsequently going on a maintenance schedule of a couple of times per month. For those who can do the foot baths (most of us) it can be a lifesaver when regular activity is limited for some reason and when safe methods are needed so as not to worsen conditions when ill (even lymphatic massage can send a sensitive and already overloaded system into worsening states of malaise and even worsening the illness). There are great lymphatic practitioners but most massage therapists only have a rudimentary understanding of the lymphatic system. If you are doing just one technique to aid the lymphatics, ionic foot bath is superior and you can do it in your home with an inexpensive home machine. No sophisticated knowledge is needed and it’s safe for most people.
