I’m in central Illinois-6a. My Pugster Periwinkle buddleias have performed beautifully this summer and have been covered with pollinators. Right now the butterflies are loving them! I’ve deadheaded throughout the summer and they are loaded with blooms.
We are very lucky to have a ton of Mennonite farmers in my area. They grow huge mums for $7.00🎉❤

Found them many years ago, I’m not sure where, and I’ve not seen them again!!
We moved from Maryland to northern Alabama and on a trip back home, early spring ‘24, I divided and brought a few with me that were just popping through at that time!!
I only traveled 🛫with just a few plugs because I was worried checking my bag at the airport! 😅
I planted in a.m. to part afternoon sun, just to be on the safe side, and they are thriving!!
I hope to bring more back to my Alabama garden next spring! 🌷🌿
