Hey guys. I know we are all going through tough times right now so I wanna share with you how we have been coping so far with our work situation after the lockdown. This has been the norm for us for the past few months. If you're interested on how we adjust in our work in the IT industry plesase keep on watching. And if you have any questions regarding work from home, please leave it down in the comment section below.
Thank you so much for watching.
Im also really interested to work as IT support may be one day I will do the same thing as you do😍 thanks sister for sharing with us
Nice!! I hope you will!!! You're welcome!!!
Just an idea but, if you use cold milk as the base for the shanke it makes it bomb! Also cool video, im an IT support guy at a local university and its super fun!
Oh really?? Ok I'll try that out!! Ooohhhh nice!!! Yes it's fun and challenging at the same time. Thank you!!
The kitty headphones are everything!
Thank you!! they are sooooo cute! I love them!!
This is a nice video, I want to start my career in the IT field because I have a passion for technology. I'd love to become an IT Support Specialist and it's hard looking for courses, I've read on the internet that people recommend beginners to start with an IT Help desk position. I don't know where to start.
Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked the video! It's really good that you know what you're passionate about but sometimes it's hard to start so I would say that you can get certified first so you can be a good candidate when you're applying for jobs especially if you don't have previous background on the field. I also started from getting certified and learning the skillsets that are required for the job. I would recommend CompTIA A+ and Network+ when you are getting started.
@@EastCharmer Gotcha, I will keep that in mind. Thank you so much.
Good Video , I start my new job next week in IT Support and like most due to covid i have to work from home with potential site visits when requested. I am accustomed to the hands on approach being there with the users to help solve their issues. Can you shed some light on how you deal with user issues from home. What are common issues etc. Do you document your day to show case to your boss that you are being productive working from home?
Hey thank you for the comment! Goodluck on your new job!! Yes I agree! We are all still adjusting with the wfh situation and we're still accustomed to do everything hands-on. As for the questions, I made a more comprehensive video to explain the WFH situation better if you wanna check it out. I also gave a few wfh and troubleshooting tips there. Hopefully it helps answer your questions. ruclips.net/video/y-6vg88xMuw/видео.html
Your job gave you a badass laptop
Hhmm it is a rent to own
Thank you for this! I am waiting for a phone interview at the moment.
you're welcome!!! goodluck on the phone interview!!! I always say it's better to be overprepared!
@@EastCharmer All the best to you. I am from the Quad Cities not far from Chicago, love it there, so much happening!
Great video, just wanna ask some advice I'm an IT fresh graduate and interested to seek a job like u do, What should I learn first? Just to be fit on that job.
Sending love from PH🇵🇭
INGAT PALAGI KABAYAN!
Thank you! Very nice!! congratulations!! I will make a video on some tips and hopefully that would help! Salamat!! Ingat din! So you are interested in working as an IT Support Specialist?
@@EastCharmerThank you for your response, I highly appreciated😊. Yeah I'm really bad in programming 🤣, and nais ko sana pasokin Ang ganyang field, should I get some certificate? Like cisco?
Thank you and more power to ur channel.
@@al-muflihun743 oh well it's ok! there's a lot of field in tech that doesn't require you to code. yeah you should definitely get some certifications. Depende kung ano ang interests mo and CISCO really has good certs!! I strongly advise that. Thank you so much for the support!!
Hey!!! so i made a video addressing your comment. ruclips.net/video/9P8c64tC2I0/видео.html I hope this helps and just let me know if you have any questions. I will keep on creating content related to the IT field!! Goodluck on your job search!!
@@EastCharmer I really appreciate your willingness to help, Ahh such a blessing. More power ☝️ thanks a lot.
Your so CUTEEE I love your channel!!
Aaawww thank you so much!!
Super Nice vid again! You love the working as an ict support? Do you have every day other questions?
Thank you so much! Glad you liked it. Well I do love working with technology but not so much supporting users lol.
Nice Video....Nice Girl.....Greetings.
Thank you!!
what kind of certifications do you have and how did you start your IT career? i recently switch careers from nursing to IT. I have no college degree. is there any tips that you can give me?
I have CompTIA A+ cert and I also finished CISCO Routing and Switching Training but didn't get to take the exam. I started in IT applying for jobs when I finished my CISCO training and that time I also was doing some volunteer work for a repair shop and somehow shadowing the IT in my previous job. Then I applied to a lot of jobs and I landed a job at a hotel. Having no college degree is not really crucial when you are starting. A lot of IT professionals are self taught and just gained experience doing projects etc. I have a lot of tips I could give you but I need to know what kind of IT job you're applying for. Is it Helpdesk? technician?
@@EastCharmer I’m trying to apply as a help desk technician. And currently working as a CNA. Right now I'm taking this online course (Google IT Support Program) Just to have the basic idea of what it's like to be working as a Help desk. Thank you for the fast response kabayan🇵🇭
@@rvnsmind oh that's nice!! goodluck on that. well a huge part of the job is troubleshooting so you should learn the foundation of that like asking the right questions to narrow down the issue. Also google will be your bestfriend so make sure to utilize it as much as you can in resolving issues. learning what to search for is the key. make sure to document everything if you have tickets and if you find a solution to a problem to make it easier the next time you encounter it. Also there's a lot of tools that you can use to make your life easier when it comes to troubleshooting like the command line commands, AD, etc. And also try to replicate the issue on your end if you can when you can't understand how the issue was described. you're welcome kabayan! And goodluck! tech is a lucrative industry
Are you guys using service now in your job? Nice video
Thanks!! Yes we use service Now for tickets and asset management
Do you often have to go through hardware issues while working ? I mean does solving hardware issues is part of your job.
yes we do. mostly harddrive, memory and monitor issues but not a lot of hardware related issues. If a laptop is having hardware issues, we usually send them to the manufacturer for repair
Are certifications necessary and do you have any ?
that breakfast was like a call , a specific type of call girl ;)
cool cool
Thanks for sharing, All the best
Thank you!!!!! You too!!
how to be this productive? i hate getting up in the morning
I know me too. 😆
Does helpdesk contain a lot of work?
Helpdesk usually doesn't. It's tier 1 support so most of the time you'll deal with troubleshooting user issues and when it gets complicated you can escalate to tier 2 and 3 support. But it all depends on the industry too. Some helpdesk jobs are not just helpdesk and would have you do other things such as network administration, virtualization, some data center work etc.
@east charmer I got an offer for a job, but now..seeing that so many people think help desk is horrible. Is your experience a good one?
I won't say it's horrible but it's not the best but if you want to get in to tech without any experience or background it's the best place to start otherwise you won't be applying for helpdesk if you have an experience already. I myself don't have a good experience tbh especially with users, the system and on call responsibilities where I currently work in now but it all depends in the company. But one thing's for sure, if you really want to get in to tech without much experience, helpdesk is the way to go coz it's the stepping stone if you wanna take a different path and go into other field of tech such as cybersecurity, networking, software etc. It gives you the exposure to different teams and also help you decide which route you want to take. And just get some experience and stay for a1-2 years in helpdesk bcoz it really is stressful and along the way prepare and work on your next path. Goodluck on what you decide to do. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask me.
@@EastCharmer What advice would you give to someone starting tier 1 help desk, having no previous tier 1 experience when starting the job? The thought of starting and messing up or not knowing things is worrying.
@@nlibby5549 How did it go? Now it's my time asking you the same question lmao
@@edgarbonilla372 It's going well. I'm learning things and using what I've already learned. I've been on a different shift and will swap to my actual shift next week. It wasn't as bad as some say it could be. I'm sure each job is different. I found a decent work culture and they allow everyone to work from home after training here, so that's great.
@@r.y3987 It depends on your company really and what most users have issues with. My job is tier 1, so if I do basic troubleshooting and I can't solve it I just send it to the next level group. We do have a couple weeks on the job training and there is a small knowledge base for info. The next level won't get upset if you tried before you send it usually.
Can you actually get an IT job without a degree? I'm 40 and taking a BS degree is not an option...
yes you can get an entry level IT job without a degree but you would atleast need a certification to learn the skills. I made a video about this actually ruclips.net/video/SsOoEmPODWQ/видео.html
I love this video
Thank you! I enjoyed making this video as well
Ano po pwedeng applyan bukod sa Technical Support. I have the troubleshooting skills naman po. I've worked as an IT staff for almost 2 years kaso hindi ako masyadong magaling makapag communicate using english language.
Hello marami kang pwede applyan kung may experience ka na at troubleshooting skills like IT Admin, systems admin, network admin. Yung mga role na yun don't deal with the users directly mas focused xa sa projects and implementation.
Is it hard to get a job in IT?
It's harder if you don't have the experience yet and they want someone who knows the certain technologies the company is using and has strong troubleshooting skills.
What kind of keyboard is that?
it's just a generic keyboard I got from Amazon
Hi, nice video! i’m curious, what certifications do you have? what’s your education history?
Hey, I passed CompTIA A+ certification and I have a degree in IT but didn't get to practice so I trained in Cisco Academy too for routing and switching but didn't get a chance to take the CCNA exam
Thank you!!
Just so you know, If you want to get into IT really experiance is everything, if your in school see if you can shadow the IT guy for like an hour a day, by the end of the year thats alot of experiance I did that and got hired straight out of high school. Otherwise just get you the Network + certification and your all set!
@@EastCharmer lmao we literally took sane path except of the degree I studied ccna but didn’t take my test and I’m about to take core 2 in two weeks 😂😂 do you got any tips for passing core 2?
@@GunsNBooty hhhmm well I didn't take it at all but maybe do a loooot of labs. Man, I used to really be into networking, I still like it but I didn't pursue
Great video, beautiful lady. :)
Thank you!!! 🤩
@@EastCharmer You're welcome! :D I'm presently learning IT support with CompTIA, I hope to have a job like that. Is that job as stressful as they say? lol
@@The__Gent that's cool!!! Yes it's stressful bcoz we usually deal with users which can sometimes be challenging but just think of it as a stepping stone towards a better job in tech. Goodluck with your studies!!!!
What country is this?
This is in US
Do companies drug test new IT hires?
in most tech companies, they really don't do drug test. Maybe if the company is related to Medical or educational I think they do but I haven't experienced drug testing when working in IT
Where did you get your mask! So cute
Is IT support on the phone the whole time?
it depends on the role. there are roles like helpdesk support that are only doing phone calls. there are IT support that are onsite supporting the users
how many interviews did you have to go through in order to get hired as a IT support @East Charmer.
a lot! I would say more than 10
@@EastCharmer more than 10 interviews? makes no sense
@@ender8711 that's depend of the company that you applying for, the one that i applied and got the job, just 3 interviews.
@@christhedoc8689 I did not argue that it was not dependant on each company, what I found crazy was the 10 interviews part of it - what justification can a company have to interview you 10 times before making an offer?
@@ender8711 I think that she’s just been sarcastic, there’s not any company that will interview you so many times, it doesn’t make any sense.
#3 and 4 in the CONS are actually PROS
How much do they pay to be a IT?
Hey! It depends on the company and your experience
You pj are so cute
they are!! thank you!!
Hi im just curious if you already have your ccna?
Hey! I didn't get a chance to take the exam and I have different plans now. I don't wanna pursue networking anymore but having the knowledge is helpful for other roles too.
@@EastCharmer thank you maam. I have a national certificate (Tesda NC II) also graduated as a computer science dito sa ph. Trying to apply online and hopefully someone will contact
Idk if it’s possible during this time given the pandemic situation 😬
@@josephjeremiashjamil6915 Oh nice, I had NC II also before for Hardware. oh goodluck on your job search! I think there's a lot of software and cloud jobs in PH that might offer remote work. Try to apply for International companies too coz they have more stability compared to PH companies right now.
@@EastCharmer Will look for it, actually someone hired me on linked in as a part time as a desktop support engineer
But it has a very rare entry ticket, like once in a month. haha
@@josephjeremiashjamil6915 really?? Wow well that's a start!!! Just learn what you can especially troubleshooting and communication skills and you can move up to something else later. 1 ticket sounds like a very slow month lol

omg i wish i started then
Ate madali lang ba Yan? IT help desk? Balak ko Kase mag apply niyan graduate ako Ng IT eh

I play a bit but mostly horror games. I'm building a PC soon for gaming
Iam a computer science graduate if i want to start my career as a fresher in IT tech support how could approach and any certification I have to complete like IT Tech support by Google or comptia A+
Hey! I would suggest comptia A+ because it's more comprehensive and focuses more on software and hardware troubleshooting which is one of the major skills needed in IT.
