Thank you so much for this tutorial. The eyelet punch is very difficult to use. Now I know that it isn't anything I'm doing wrong- just faulty design.

Nice gadget and I do love gadgets! I think I will try using a lower table for extra power with the eyelet punch. Thanks for the demo!

+DianebelongstoChrist Have to admit that we love gadgets as well. I like your idea of using a lower table, it will give you more leverage. Once I got the knack it worked a treat. The tags look nice with the eyelet and I'm looking at getting some different coloured eyelets as well.

    will this work with fabric?

I haven't tried it on fabric. It is designed for cardstock. Fiskars do have an eyelet setter that is designed to work with fabric, an internet search for Eyelet Setter will return the results.

I just bought this and noticed that the eyelets that come with it are not as deep as normal eyelets, do you think any eyelets that will fit in the hole will work?

+Kathie Bendinelli I tested this with the normal, deeper eyelets Kathie, and it does work. However as the eyelet is much deeper it doesn't fit snuggly in the hole and spins around. So it's really a matter of whether or not that bothers you. I don't have a problem with it and will use them on some occasions especially as I have a lot of nice colored eyelets. But of course the machine is best used with the correct sized eyelets.

I gave up on the eyelet feature, I just don't have the strength to do it. I punched 120 tags and put reinforcers on both side then embossed them with my folders to make samples.

I bought this and I am having such a hard time getting the eyelet to work. It is so hard to "punch". My husband put it on the floor and put all his weight on it. He did get it to work, just very disappointed.

That is such a shame Carolyn. It can be a bit stiff but I haven't had that problem. You may have a faulty one. I would personally return it because it should not be that hard.
