I wonder if throwing home is the "easiest" out to get though. Especially if it is from runner from 3rd, all you have to do is throw it at the backstop. Of course an out at home is more "dramatic" though for sure.
Wildcats had a pretty cakewalk schedule in the second half the season. As for the Chadwick trade, he looked solid af in the first two games. Sadly for the Gators, Cheetem and Jorgy were definitely hitable this year, and besides Cheetem, no one else could hit home runs. I really like the Gators and I hope they can turn things around next year.
Wildcats rounding into World Series form. Tremendous effort by the Gators, this team has lots of talent, just couldn't quite piece it all together this season. I believe they'll have a bounce back year next year. I've watched every series and I must say this is much more entertaining than an MLB game.
Can we talk about how unselfish the managers in the league are? You've got Drew Davis removing himself from the pitching rotation in favor of Behen, and then Szerlag removing himself from the lineup in this series in favor of Chadwick...love how these guys just want to win and leave their egos aside.
Lol this is the same season that Davis pulled Baronoski in a high leverage situation and walked the next 4 batters who came to the plate, ultimately losing the game
Regardless of who you're rooting for, you have to feel for the Gators a bit. They needed one win to stay alive and it felt like all three games just barely squeaked by them. Massive props to the Wildcats' defense, however -- their awareness of the field situation is outstanding.
My predictions on the season: Knorp is a Powerhouse but people learned how to hit him, still really good. I think the same will happen next year with Dallas Allen. Mallards win the world series vs the preds 3-1. I think Behen will be amazing next year, but Robles will win Rookie of the year. MVP goes to Dallas Allen.
Mallards don't have a #2 pitcher. If Behen has another series like last one then kills the playoffs he could beat Robles. My prediction? Cobras beat the Eagles 3 games to 2 in the WS.

I have never been so crushed by a loss ever. Proud of my Gators today we really played our hearts out, most intense game all year, the gators did not go down easily, but we will come back stronger next year. Although we don’t have any draft picks until 2025 so it is looking to be a dark next few years for us

Simply dumbfounded by the gators move to trade for chadwick. Who knows though, guessing theyre banking on bouncing back next season which is certainly possible, but boy trading away a top pick to miss the postseason is still brutal.
If I were a GM in this league, I would try to accumulate as many picks as possible every offseason. The talent in the draft will only improve as the league gets more and more popular. I would deal away good but not great players like Cheatum/Chadwick/Bonham/etc. in a heartbeat for an extra chance at the draft.

Tough one for the Gators. It was a huge risk move to trade draft picks to get a player in the last series when the Wildcats are the opponent you have to get by. The Gators are a team that is solid all the way through and will compete against anyone, but they don't have a superstar. They've got so much depth now, that I would be shocked to see another trade at the draft to get some picks back. They are seriously just a player away from flipping that record.

That dodge at second base was super risky, but also incredible. He was also making good contact and pitched well in game three. Haven't seen him play that good since the Gators world series win.
