Well who knows. They may have had great concepts, but the execution might have been bad. Also there could have been a lot of production issue, that can turn the film into a mess.

Yeah, I do remember something about a Tintin sequel being discussed but never coming to fruition. I think it was going to be an adaptation of the Seven crystal balls and Prisoners of the sun and Peter Jackson was supposed to start work on it after the Hobbit trilogy ended. But I think it never came to fruition due to the box office of the first film not doing so good, but that could be just speculation.
I remember watching The Adventures of Tintin back in the day. I remember being super young and looking up Steven Spielberg's upcoming filmography, and seeing that Tintin would eventually get a sequel (along with Rodger rabbit). I forgot what the schedule was, but all I remember was that it was going to be some time in the late 2010s.

The Popeye movie cancelation had nothing to do with the Emoji Movie. It was canceled by the CEO at the time who was then swapped out for a new CEO who greenlit the Emoji movie.
Gigantic is the saddest one we've lost. That would have been a fun movie.
I also believe that what happened to brendan fraser was a HUGE part in the mummy movie not being made and that made me so sad as I was a huge fan of Brendan and feel what happened to him was wrong

Here's one cancelled movie I've never heard anyone talk about:
Before Disney started working on Moana, they were apparently working on an adaptation of Mort by Terry Pratchett that fell through due to licensing problems. On one hand, it would have been cool to see a big studio do a Discworld adaptation, but on the other hand, I feel like the expectation for the film to be child friendly would cause for the final product to be severely dumbed down.
Planet treasure was a movie that I’d definitely loved in my childhood and always thought why it never had a sequel, I grew up to learn it’s sad reality about how poorly it had done in the box office

Also I didn't know there was supposed to be a Treasure Planet 2, Chicken Little 2, Tron 3, and some others that's pretty interesting if you ask me!! It's too bad they never once made the NickToons animated movie, Jimmy Neutron 2, Madagascar 4, Fairly Odd Parents animated movie, Newt, or Gigantic I would've loved to see those movies in theaters for sure just to see how they would've turned out. It's a dang shame they got cancelled because I'm such a die hard fan of DreamWorks, Disney, Pixar, and Nickelodeon.
Newt, Popeye, and Larrikins are movies I wish weren't cancelled.
Also, I had no idea a Heart of Darkness movie was gonna be made.

The reason why godzilla 3D was canceled, it's because legendary bought the right to godzilla and became the monsterverse we know and love today.
I think I remember hearing that part of the reason why treasure planet failed at the box office was because the trailers, I think possibly the first trailer only, revealed too much of the important parts of the movie. I actually didn't know that it failed when I first watched it, but I actually did enjoy the movie alot.
Bruce Lee didn't die "in" the making of Game of Death, he died during it. You might be thinking of his son Brandon who died on the set of The Crow from being shot with a blank. Bruce's death was deemed "death by misadventure" which usually means a drug or alcohol related accident.
there was meant to be a second aqua teen movie, but it failed to receive funding or a publisher because adult swim didn't want to produce another movie after what happened with the first one. it was fully written, and dave willis, one of the co-creators of the show, intended to crowdfund it, but no such campaign was ever made since he said that and its been in production hell for at least 5 years. it was never formally cancelled, but its been far too long since its been acknowledged for me to feel optimistic about it.

Bro treasure planet is genuinely the best movie Disney has made from what I can remember. I rewatched it a few months ago and it is just as amazing as I remembered it as a kid. The movie was so unique and different yet it flopped for petty reasons

It definitely makes more sense that the still upcoming Popeye 3d film has finally studio hopped, in a rather awkward fashion, from Sony to King Features, which is due to the fact that the latter is the character’s creator studio.
This one isn't as well known, but there was originally planned to be a third James Bond movie starring Timothy Dalton. Apparently the story was a techno-thriller surrounding the Hong Kong handover of 1997 and had Bond go up against a Chinese roboticist with a Terminator-like security robot

Rise of the Guardians 2? It's super underrated a d DreamWorks never made a sequel because of the terrible box-office, I wanted to see where else they would take the movies, maybe like the books. Also let's not forget The Adventures of Tin Tin, Beetlejuice 2 and The Haunted Mansion which hurts the movie since Guillermo del Toro was to direct it.
The cancelled Heart of Darkness movie is about the Orson Welle's film based on the book of the same title, not about some weird dog game no one ever heard of.

You forgot to mention that Napoleon was going to be a remake of the 6 hour 1927 film of the same name, witch is famously the only movie in history to use Fast cutting,POV shots, and on location shooting as well being the only film in history to have an aspect ratio of 4:1 the largest aspect ratio known in the history of filmmaking

I know a few more. One is Godzilla vs ghost Godzilla a planned movie for the heisei area of Godzilla and was gonna be released in 1995. And the Godzilla 2012 screenplay aka Godzilla 2012, this is a early draft of Godzilla 2014, and it was the same movie except a lot more darker.
About the draft of Godzilla vs ghost Godzilla, the ghost of the 1954 Godzilla was gonna reawaken and possess Godzilla jr and turn him into a perfect copy of Godzilla 54. Well sorta because his skin on stretched out. Well Godzilla and the possess Godzilla jr would fight in Tokyo. And Godzilla would survive the movie.
