Girl these phases are totally normal! I was never that deep into body care until this year. And even now I have a decent collection but I am not always in the mood to do a whole body routine cause pfft I am tired! haha. Fragrance is just more versatile and easy. Also you are doing amazing on your fitness progress and it shows so HUGE congrats! It takes so much time and dedication to get there.
Said this to myself about face and body care. For some i feel like as long as you at least do it often as needed you will be okay. I still slack off and my skin is glowing! I also dont have separate products or a separate routine for day and night time. I use what i use lol
i am happy you admit this ash; as much as we love products nobody needs 100 products open at the same time; in a pandemic we are less out , more self center and its impossible to finish everything
Agreed and imo i get more satisfaction from using up things and seeing how they work.
Since the pandemic i burn so many more candles, because im home all day & use up tons of their soap and sanitizers! VS. fragrance mist & body cream which i dont use as much now.
Girl I haven’t been using my BBW/VS & even some perfumes too 😭😭 I noticed that I reach for the same fragrances & ones I get compliments on A LOT. I just reorganized and did a mini declutter yesterday 😭😭 This video came at the perfect time because I’m realizing my collection is HUGE and also getting overwhelming as well & to keep up so you’re not alone ! Love the minimalist & downsizing idea. It takes a lot to let go. So happy for you ! 🎉👏🏽💯
I’ve been shopping with Zara recently for the 1st time and I LOVE Ebony woods 😭😭💖💖 I’m surprised you don’t like it 🤔 Vibrant Leather for her is bomb too. 💣 I just got that one too ! Lol I have been eyeing Leather Jardin from Zara ! A lot of people do not like it tho 😭. I’ll have to add that to my collection. Great video 💛
No lie… I’ve been feeling the same exact way , more so lately than ever !! 💯 my collection was wayyyy bigger in the past than what it is now & im downsizing even more … I sell my stuff on poshmark & Mercari. & just literally had a convo with my mom this morning abt donating some of my items & giving to women’s shelters if they can use them. The single wicks I got during the sale , I plan to give as lil Xmas gifts to co workers family & friends. ❤️

Being older BB is "so over it"...I've purchased so much of it like you at the last SAS. Now I'm into more costly and mature scents ... they are investment pieces into myself. Sometimes I use the BB sprays at nite just to use them up. But mainly daytime is for "the good stuff" 😊

I was addicted to niche and designer perfumes last year and collected over a hundred of them. Then fell in love with bath and Body works and started collecting them after only 4 months now I have almost every single one with backup of what I like and dont think I will stop anytime soon.
Hey Ash, I’ve learned on the single wicks you have to let them burn for at least 1 hr to get a throw. So the wax is melted around the top of the candle. It should melt even then.

Cactus Blossom is also a good single wick and 3 wick that doesn't need to burn too long but still has an amazing throw! P.S. I will take one of your DW candles... they are hard to find in California! @LiVing Ash
Hey Ash, whenever I have any candle that tunnels, to fix it it put a aluminum foil cone over the top of the candle and leave a little hole open at the top and after a few burn with the cone, the tunneling usually stops. Also if the wicks are in a bad place to, just do the same cone thing but angle the hole in the top towards where you want the wicks to burn better/ move to. It almost always works and it saves so many candles!

I feel you Ash, I was very much into make up a few years ago, and there came this moment where I felt like I'm about to drown in my collection. I got rid of almost all of it and I never felt better. I am into body care but this time I'm trying to keep things simple and not let it get outta hand.

I’ve been feeling the same way about bbw. I stocked up on pumpkin pecan waffles and can’t even get through one bottle. I’ve been using that Trader Joe’s body butter and perfumes like Armani Si.

I just did a fall/winter clean with all my products too, from hair, face, nails and body products I just got rid of all that I was not using anymore!! I feel so relieved because now I can see what I actually use and can spend more on what I love vs trying new product. Definitely help me mentally 🙌🏾🕉🤗

I finally got mine yesterday and the caps for the body mists were all over the place and everything was a jumbled mess, but I was so happy I got it! 😅 I’m Trying to be as minimalistic too. I’ve downsized clothing, shoes and makeup and I try not to shop just for the sake of shopping but I still to remind myself to slow down when I see sales. Things are quite the opposite for me right now, I have gravitated to BBW more than my perfumes. But I also don’t have very many perfumes cause I used them all up. I will probably buy more perfume when I get on that kick again. & yessss Christmas cookies !! I got the body care so so good saving for later this month ❤️❤️ love you ash :)
Its okay your growing and evloving i wore my perfumes more to when I was younger. Its all about figuring out and knowing what you love and where it fits. Your a wonddrful young adult and your making your way and leaving your mark kudos your an outstanding young person.

Just part of the journey! I love love growing my collection at one point. Now I am just trying to minimize things. As a military family we move to often for me to have all the extra stuff! bur love the downsize! Once i get done with stuff if i don’t love it I wont repurchase!

Hey Ash! Just recently starting watching you! Just started to get into body care thanks to you. I’m in the UK so unfortunately can’t get the things you recommend. In relation to your candle problem, I use a candle collar ( think that’s what they’re called) to help with a clean burn or in a pinch aluminium foil wrapped around the top does the same job. Hope that helps
Im a minimalist so it's the thrill of re-gifting for me 🥰🥰 i literally will find a few fave and stick with them each season 🤷🏽♀️.

I love your reasons for why you aren’t buying BBW as much and are just gravitating towards what you like. I kinda thought it was because someone said “women in their 20s shouldn’t be buying BBW” and I’m so glad that wasn’t why! I saw that video of yours a while back and glad you haven’t changed your stance on that. It shouldn’t matter if something is affordable or more expensive, wear what you like!
Sweater weather in the single wick is pretty good! It's also one of those more masculine type of scents. My favorite fall scent every year.

I've been feeling this same way. I had a lot of bottles but ever since I got into perfumes I got rid of my B&BW Collection. Like of course I love some scents but my perfumes are #1

Girl I feel you on the downisizing the creams part! Now if ever I feel the urge to buy a new scent, I go for the perfumes and body mists instead of scented washes and lotions because fragrances have a way longer shelf life than creams do.
I do a self discipline ash ( do not buy /go over on my fragrances/bodycare items) especially if I’m not using it quick enough) I have my 4 seasonal drawers spring/summer & fall/winter ., ( I KNOW THE FEELING !!!)
I pair my body oils, body lotion, and bbw body cream together then add a perfume some days it’s a luxury day then I put my luxury perfume lotion with body oil together and add the matching perfume after .., 😉keep up the great work you got this we see you looking good!!!
I love the variety of BBW. But they just come out with so much stuff & it's overwhelming. I wish they'd tone it down a little bit. They discontinued a lot of things I loved: PS I Love You, Rice Flower & Shea, Country Chic, Secret Wonderland, Aromatherapy Vanilla Verbena. If they come out with these again and renamed them (they've done that before) I'd never know & I'd miss out. I'm a minimalist as well & I have 7 lotions/creams/butters & 7 sprays/perfumes.

I’ve actually started getting rid of any bodycare products that I no longer use mainly because I don’t have a lot of space in my room (I have a small room) I also just ordered some B&BW products (from their $2.95 mini products sale) I got a similar email from them two days ago that my order was supposed to come in 2 weeks, but now it might be coming this weekend (I got the mini marshmallow pumpkin latte body lotion and body mist, mini pumpkin cupcake hand cream, and rose lip balm which will be my first B&BW lip product) I also might wait until candle day as well, to go crazy with the holiday candles because the only one that I have which technically isn’t “holiday” themed is “hot coca and cream” which smells like hot coca powder…..so I’m trying to save that until December when the Christmas season really starts.
I have also stopped hauling and shopping so much! I think we use stuff to replace people sometimes. I still love Bath and Body Works, I just won’t be spending my whole check on it anymore! I’m grateful for what I have!

I’ve been feeling the same about bath and body works lotions, I’ve decided to use them up by putting them on the sink and using them after washing my hands or doing dishes and putting them in a travel sized container and putting that in my purse

Yes Ash! I have been overwhelmed looking at 56 body sprays lol. So I’ve been giving them to my sisters, cousins and friends. Duplicates I’m not loving anymore goes to the women’s shelter right before Christmas! I’ve been going back to my Miss Dior and Jimmy Choos a lot lately and it’s ok! We need to use up our products. I’ve been using my perfumes a lot more lately as well. I’ve notice I use my fragrance mist if I’m stepping out to a family member house or going somewhere real quick.

Honestly Ash, I've felt like this with everything! I just want to have things that I absolutely love and that goes for body care, perfume, clothes, and shoes. I've had the same feeling of being overwhelmed and while I don't consider myself a minimalist I just don't want to feel crowded by things I'm not using. I don't think it's healthy or sustainable! I own 150 perfumes. Yes I know it's excessive, but I love them so much. I tried getting into bath and body work fragrance mists this year, went and bought about 15 of them about 4 months ago, and still don't most of them lol. I just always reach for perfume instead. I just realize I like just collecting Colognes and Perfume and Shower Gel and Tree Huts Scrubs and Prescription scrubs heavily scented I'm addicted , however I'm using it and LOVING IT. Laying is so important with a fragrance. 😍 I have been using Dr Bronner's for years, my fav is peppermint💚💜🧡 I notice my collection is growing. I don't want it to get out of control. Ohhh I’m loving the more “masculine” type scents for the home too. Bow ties and Burbon is a good one. And I 100 agree about being over the BBW collecting for a while. I definitely suffer from FOMO when it comes to BBW, like what if I miss out on that one scent that is everything!! 🤦🏻♀️ So I buy all the new scents then never wear them and gravitate to my perfumes. So ya ur not alone girl 🤗

Also I found some great combos with what I got. I recently discovered Calgon Morning Glory with Versace Dillion Blue 🤌🏻 omg. It ain’t a “fall scent”, but it’s one bomb smell for a cold rainy wet day where you just wanna smell clean and feel like your life is together lol

I live in Canada so IDK if it's available in your stores. But Marshalls has an amazing candle line called Sand & Fog. They burn very well, use essential oils and soy and come in very pretty jars. Haven't bought any BBW candles since I discovered Sand & Fog, cheaper than BBW too.
I’ve started downsizing my bbw body creams because they go bad after a while. I don’t plan own buying any any time soon.
When I see you happily shopping around I see various brands we have in my country but unfortunately not the same scents are available here.. Such as Philosophy White Pear, various Dove bar soaps and Eau de Juice Gold.. 😪
I know this video old but I got the one wick bbw candle in the scent Fresh Cut Lilacs and girl! it is STRONG!!! So strong I can't keep it lit more then like 20 mins! Never had such a strong small candle before.
This is a totally normal transition and you will have times where you may go back to buying/collecting and then pairing down. It is deff a journey. A great fun way to use up some products is to create a "project pan" for yourself after you pair down your collection! It can be challenging but it is so rewarding once you finish up a product and cross it off your list. Also, when it comes to things like the body sprays/lotions (from bbw) many times I will just buy the travel sizes (especially for seasonal scents like Christmas/Summer) because it gives you the ability to indulge in a scent without committing to an 8oz bottle. 8/10 I will be tired of the fragrance after using up the travel size (which is perfect because I used it up) or if I really love it after using it up then will buy it full size. For perfumes I buy travel sprays/roll-ons and if I use it up (and still love it) will buy a 1 oz bottle. These are little tricks I do to not accumulate large and excessive amounts of products (and spending too much) while also getting to indulge. It also allows you to sell items on Mercari without taking a huge resale loss

Hi. I’ve learn to trim the candles before each time you light them. That way your flame isn’t as hot in the middle; cause the wick length. And they should burn more even.

I'm the complete opposite. Ever since I contracted Covid earlier this year, I couldn't stand the smell of any of my perfumes anymore. I ended up giving most of them away. So now, I'm really starting to get into and love bbw fragrance mist for the first time. I never really got into bbw before because I always got a headache from just walking into the store. Go figure.
