I'm glad to see SOMEONE talking about Jeep wiring, I have a CJ5 that came with a random harness that kind of works, and I never thought to put a fuse block between the battery and the ignition switch, I only had an inline fuse and I kept blowing 40 amp fuses trying to diagnose what's grounded wrong. I'll have to use those little tiny fuse blocks
I have a 73 CJ5 that has some sort of replacement wiring in it, I think it must have been from another vehicle. The PO used the glove box to house a fuse box, (Cringe). I havent had the time to rework it yet, but I definately need to clean it up. I will take all the jeep wiring insight I can get.
the only way it could self cancel is if it was part of the column itself, i don’t think they make a bolt on. unless there is one that just shuts off after a period of time.
You are doing a 1st class job on that Jeep. Thanks for sharing your project.

Thank you! The color is called Luzon Red, it was a factory color that year (1947)
Where did you get your voltmeter? It looks like a good style match to the other gauges
i think that came from local auto parts store actually. i’ll see if i can find the receipt
@@jeepcjgarage Just checking back with you..... I was not able to locate one at NAPA or the other auto stores...
have any idears where to get a self canceling turn signal switch like that ? thank you

Any problem with using relays close to the headlamp buckets and not running heavy gauge inside the cab?
Nothing so far
