Sender changed. Owner first tried used. Then I got him an OEM Hella. Same problem. We started thinking oil pump and it is a common problem with over 200k kms, so tried some gear oil to build up pressure, no dice. I'm actually annoyed at this point because of all the high tech bull of VW, there isn't a channel I can find to read the oil pressure live. Looking at a wiring diagram, its not even a sensor but a simple on/off sender straight to the instrument cluster. Surprising for 2010. Most other manufactuers have live oil pressure data by this point. I could buy an expensive kit or build one to test oil pressure mechanically. No one gonna cover my costs so screw that. Owner has been driving with this issue for over 10,000k km and motor running smooth. I'm down to electrical. Tomorrow I will be chopping a used good sender so I can actually get to the pin with a clip. Gotta love how DEEP germans LOVE to make their connectors. Once I got a solid hard clamp, will run as far as the wiring can go bad before going to cluster. I AM NOT removing the cluster so will go as far as wiring in firewall runs. If problem isn't fixed, screw this stupid car and engine and brand, and will just ground the goddamn sensor to shut the cluster up. F**k german engineering.
How to disable auditory oil pressure alert? The oil pressure alert often goes off when the engine drops to around 1500 rpm. This alert has been going off for over two years, even tough I had the sensor changed twice. At this point, I just want the auditory alert to stop going off. The visual read flashing alert I can handle.
I got this same icon on my 2009 Tiguan. Car runs fine but it also followed a P0324. I cleared the code and it hasn’t come back again. Any suggestions??
Hey can you help me out I have a vw cc 2010 as well with 111.5k miles on it rn it had an anti freeze leak and fixed it then the coils went bad made the car go on limp mode with the epc light on I fixed that too but I still have a problem with it everytime I take a turn the epc light flashes and the display says service engine now! And the car stutters and if I’m doing a long turn it does it twice and then the oil pressure turns on too and sometimes when I’m just driving the oil pressure randomly goes off too idk what is it I check the temperature or hear if it makes noises but it seems to be fine
Sorry, didn’t see this. That sounds like some kind of maybe fuel pump issue in the tank is the only thing I can think of as you’re turning the fuel is going away from the pump. Otherwise, when the frame for the car itself is twisting a little a wire is grounding out somewhere possibly this is one of them problems that could be something minor or something major. Did you replace the throttle body already?
Same problem and I know the solution so the hose that disconnects from the oil pressure switch in the video he made that little hose snaps easily give me your number and I’ll send you a picture of exactly what I’m talking about even if you replace the switch it doesn’t matter the problem will happen again you have to replace the hose I will send picture if you need it
I just noticed something you prolly didn’t even see or anyone else the plug you disconnected from the oil pressure switch has a slit in it the small hose and that could be the problem did you have this problem again ?
No check engine light, but the shut engine oil pressure lights come on a few times, now just the oil light comes on every so often and the the added a quart of oil maybe need to add another
One light off now check engine light on!!!!! Nice!

This didnt do the trick for me any other ideas same problem it warms up we slow down stop idle light comes on
