    Glad to see the new machine. Looks great. I've run similar sized bobcats before and I've never seen the tracks extend to the side like that. Pretty cool. Looks like you guys will be able to get loads of work done now. That big rainbow looks awesome, looking forward to seeing that in a carving. Great adventure video.

    Damm ! Diesel is cheaper than gasoline in Australia !?!?
    Nice 👍
    Over here it’s close to $4 a gallon while gas is just over $2.
    Makes me want to go to Australia even more. Cheap diesel and OPAL !!!

    • @theopalmills
      @theopalmills  6 месяцев назад +3

      No no! Damn, I wish we got it that cheap, au$1.96/litre = au$7.40/gallon = us$4.83/gallon 🤪👍

      @michaelprue9024 6 месяцев назад +1

      Yes my mistake. Typical American, always thinking everyone else are like us lol.
      Wow ! $7.40 a gallon would sink my boat, I’m sorry bud.
      But you know what ? I still love Australia 🇦🇺, and I’d still love to come visit your country someday, AND go fossicking for Opal myself. I mean, don’t get me wrong, America is great and I love her, but Australia is freaking AWESOME!!!

    We just drove back to into the restricted zone, as there were signs, but they were just for public liability lawsuits that I guess the counsel erects, and camped right around the shafts, and the caravan park probably doesn't like that, but we found tonnes

    Day Phil, hope all is well in your world. Was wondering if you ever had an issue with tester ink sticking to your nova points, and what you do to remove it. Maybe alcohol? I marked a few stones with a Marksall, by Milwaukee Tools. Its heavy duty green ink, and it's practically bonded to my 1200 grit (gray) nova point. It's making weird residue marks on my stones, but not coming off the nova tip. Wasnt sure if solvents would be bad for nova tips

      @theopalmills  5 месяцев назад

      G’day mate, I wrote an answer a week ago, but I mustn’t have hit the send button. I wouldn’t go using solvents, I’d try to remove the residue with a blade, scratching it off if possible. Same with the nova tip, but if not, maybe run the bit in your rotary tool against some sand paper. 🤪👍

    Is the eagtac torch actually that bright or are you combining it with a regular torch when black lighting? Weve been using 'the beast' which does an ok job but only puts out a dull purple light compared to what im seeing on your vids. Cheers!

    • @theopalmills
      @theopalmills  4 месяца назад +1

      G’day mate, yes that’s all Eagtac light you’re seeing, they get a bit warm after a while but there’s lower settings if it’s too bright. 🤪👍

      G’day mate, yes, this is a black light, it’s in the 365nm spectrum, deep into UV. The camera won’t pick up much visible light, but you can see when opal fluoresces. 🤪👍 Hi, да, это черный свет, он в спектре 365 нм, глубоко в УФ. Камера не улавливает много видимого света, но вы можете увидеть, как опал флуоресцирует.
