- In this clip my friend Alex and I demonstrate the electronics of his Tyler SE. The guitar has: Mid Boost preamp, preamp bypass, neck bridge on button, Series Parallel switches. Lead/Rhythm switch. Pickups are Seymour Duncan Hot Stacks and a JB.
"Either you know or you don't."
I doubt too many cats know better than Rack Doctor. Excellent demo'ing as usual, Sir!
Thank you.
Alex is a man of taste. That Tyler spec is absolutely awesome. Dream guitar
This is so cool! So many switches! 😄
Sounds beautiful!
Thanks.
Love this! Awesome explanation, sounds and playing!
Hey Dave & Alex! Great demo of Alex's Tyler guitar. I love the pickups and midboost preamp/preamp bypass, preamp bypass, neck bridge on button, Series Parallel switches. Lead/Rhythm switch. The pickup switching options has a lot of cool useful sounds. The effects setup sounded great too! What is the body & neck wood used on the guitar? I've played a Tyler guitar once and loved the sound of it.
Thanks. Alder body. rosewood neck.
Those guitars are really amazing. For the 80s tone, would you prefer regular bridge over Floyd or it doesn’t have much impact?
Either one, but the Floyd would be closer.
Can you please let me know which pedals you are using. Cheers brother. Sounds incredible
Thanks. Strymon Big Sky on Plate Reverb,Strymon Mobuis on Multi chorus, Tinmeline on Dual Setting, Mirage FX Comp for clean. For lead same, without the compressor, added the the JHS Angry Charlie.
@@RACKDOCTOR Thank you so much. Looks like my Strymon dealer is going to be busy lol. I was looking at the Big Sky. You have sealed it. Cheers brother
The real 80s clean is middboost on but the boost at the lowest setting.
Just to bring back the lost highs and lows.
Fantastic demo! What are the specs of that particular guitar in terms of materials (body, neck and fretboard)?
Thanks. Alder Body, Maple Neck, rosewood board.
Does the humbucker is split or full on the 2 position? Thank you so much.
Great demo as always.
Split.
great sound! do you know where to get a neck duncan pickup like this?
The new Seymour Duncan Hot Stacks are pretty close to the old ones.
How do you make this sounds?
Dave, do you do house calls to setup a rack that needs the final touch?
Sure. If you are local.
what amp are you playing through? Is the amp clean?
Synergy Preamp with the Morgan AC-30 for clean and the JCM-800 for lead with a JHS Angry Charlie.
@@RACKDOCTOR sounds amazing!
@@bingefeller Thanks.
This does sound incredible! The delay and chorus are nice as well
Too many options!? I wouldn’t get nothing done!
