Old school style, no cap, no suits...just
technique, strategy and mental game! Best sprint ever, no doubt.

I enjoy interviews with Popov because he is very simple close to ground person/swimmer. And making difficult things to look simple. It is beneficial for all people to listen to him not only swimmers. How to build your character and achieve what needs to be achieved.

Thanks for having Alex Popov. I am just now finding out he was interviewed as I spent my lockdown remodeling my kitchen. Everyone know Popov as classically the best sprinter ever, a gentleman with great one liners, but viscous in the pool, a legend nobody knows anything about. These interviews just confirmed he is 100% legitimate badass, and a hell of a nice guy

Great interview guys, thanks a lot. What a monster, and quite a funny guy too.
By the way, always wondered why, with that smooth and efficient stroke and monster series in training, he never competed at 200, was it never up for discussion?

On wearing no caps: his starts and turn (totally underwater) would have been far faster (Dressel wins his races mostly on those two steps...).
    BTW, thanks, Brett, from Italy!
