Hi Amanda??,I consider my hermes birkin and hermes herbag quiet luxury. Also mu mulberry bayswater. I have 2 Ferragamo n 3 tod bags without any logo.i bought a Celine from bicester in jan.very classy without any branding. I want to mention givenchy. Very high quality without and loud logo.i am very impressed with the leather of mulberry and givenchy. I got a silver python Alexander McQueen in the classic style.again no logo.i want to buy from loro piana. What are your thoughts. Also moynat. I did get a faure la page bag n scarf from Paris which is different from the usual brands.i consider all these brands quiet luxury.

Interesting to hear your take on quiet luxury bags - i don’t own any Ferragamo, McQueen, Givenchy or Moynat bags so I can’t really speak to their quality but I definitely agree that they have super pretty and aesthetically quiet bags! When I think of Loro Piana i think of loafers and cashmere sweaters - but I think I’ll look in to their bags too now that you mention it! :D I’ve gotten a few comments about Moynat bags recently so it seems they are gaining in popularity, nonetheless I’ve never even seen one in real life so I don’t know anything about their quality other than what I can read on the website - now if the quality is good then they seem to be nicely designed bags at a fair price point..! :D
The question of whether or not a Hermes Birkin is quiet luxury is almost silly to me. I think it;s funny that people consider Chanel classic flap bags with the cc’s on them as loud yet reissues as not because there are no cc’s. As a person who only relatively recently became interested in handbags or luxury of any type neither of those bags were loud. They are only loud because it reached a certain level of mass identification. Birkins are loud in the same way that classic flap bags are- because a higher percentage of the normal people of the world can identify them. With that said, no, I don’t think either are loud. What I do find loud and gauche are bags which spell out the designers names, literally.

And you’re right - Birkins and Classic flaps are loud in the same way: because they’ve reached a level of mass identification. Nonetheless they are quieter in terms of design compared to a lot of bags on the market. But honestly at the end of the day it really doesn’t matter whether they are loud or quiet - I will wear them just as much regardless because to me they are timeless bags that will always be great additions to my outfits 🤩

I then usually get mad because oftentimes when people are talking of quiet luxury they are doing it in some sort of derogatory way, either in the classist or white supremacist or people-who-are-‘quietly’-bored-with-the-trend-and-cant-wait-for-the-trend-to-be-over way. I think ‘don’t be coming for siedler aesthetic! How rude’.
Hi Kelly! Thank you, that’s so nice of you to say - if I may say so myself I also think the quiet luxury trend aligns pretty well with my personal style narrative of Luxurious Equestrian Café! Yeahhhh I’ve also seen that the quiet luxury trend has a problematic side to it as well when people interpret it as classist or such, but honestly that discussion in my view has very little to do with the actual fashion trend. I’m just like let me wear my boring cashmere sweater in peace hahahah 😇
