This song and the opponents are based off a SMW ROM HACK Simply titled ’MARIO’, but message boxes say stuff along the lines of “Mario is being evil again” or “You are evil (as in Mario)” suggesting that Mario done something bad, after beating the first Koopaling boss; Iggy when the cutscene plays of Mario saving a yellow Yoshi egg and demolishing the castle, the dialogue from a speaker box describes a murder scene, specifically, a woman missing her eyes and covered in unidentifiable fingerprints (the second opponent), then in the last level start in a hallway of doors then you’ll find a secret pipe behind a wall leading you to a ledge, the only thing left to do is jump, then you enter a pipe and it ends. And if you look in the files, you’ll find a message in the ROM code that reads ‘Find me’ and another file that contains a code, when converting the code to image, it shows the victim’s face. Now I think maybe Mario killed Peach and when realising what he did wrong, he unalived himself (in the last level where the hole he jumps into is) but I don’t fully know.
