Why make golf faster? My wife thinks a round takes 7-8 hours. I'm gone all day. It's great. Everything in this world wants to be faster. Leave golf alone. Relax and enjoy your round. How do you drink beers on this thing anyways.
Bruce Maddox Have you ever been on a golf course? Where I'm from there are beer cart girls that drive around and sell beer to the golfers. Golf and beer kind of go hand in hand.
Not really a drinker but having a bit of free time with the lads is quality. Don't see the point of this, already got buggies. Besides it not gonna help the hackers play better is it?
Rod Stewart if you play golf I can tell it’s not your passion. Anyone I have met on a course hate slow play it ruins your game. Anyone who drinks alcohol on a course don’t care about their game. Who the hell plays golf if they don’t care about 3 putting?? Don’t tell me alcohol doesn’t make you 3 put sometimes
Perfect, love it, bit concerned about the towel just hanging right at the side of the wheel/brake disc, that gets tangled in them, and your over the handle bars, compo claim me thinks, but great idea, 👍 from me.
The course I work at is designed on a small mountain, We have at least 6 magor cart roll overs a year most during events with heavy drinking. I couldnt even imagine the kind of accidents we would have with these
The Phat Golf Scooter is about the same price. The golf bag position is preferable on the Phat. I live across the street from my course and currently have my own cart. I would use a golf scooter or cycle but would prefer a 3 wheel model.
The whole slow play topic does my head in. Clubs want new golfers then try and throw them round a course. Think people should just let better players trough.
Want more players? Eliminate drivers and make a sport of chip and put. Half the length of a given hole is used for the driver. A course could be half the size if it was all par 3's. Besides drivers kill your back and are one of the hardest skills to master for casual players. Start a parallel chip and putt PGA focusing on iron and putter skills and greens fees would be much lower and more people would golf.
L parker what do you mean? There are plenty of par three courses... have you really not heard of them? I like normal courses, but have played the short courses for practice. Quite a few of them where I live.
I like it! I play a lot of recreational golf in the USA on vacations and we use golf boards - a cross between the skateboard and a segway. These certainly speed up the pace of golf and ate also a lot of fun - but require a certain amount of technique with balance. These bikes might solve that issue for some people.
My Grandad golfed every day until the day before he passed...he Never used a cart...or an elevator for that matter..Probably why he made it to Ninety eight!
Rode something like this out of Japan and our whole 2 foursomes turned them back in after 9 holes for a real cart. Kills the lower back. Pro shop said NO ONE had used them for a full 18 holes.
1)How long does the battery last? What do you do if it craps out before you finish your round? 2) Everyone in your group would need one. If not, wouldn't the pace of play be even slower? 3) Insurance?
As Golf Courses are on private land I'm assuming it's ok to consume alcohol whilst using this... So that's a plus. Also, my mate likes to carry his bag but would the battery be powerful enough to take him standing on the back ?. And finally, does it do wheelies ?...
If they want to speed up play, put GPS yardage markers on the carts. People get out look around for distance, then select a club, practice swing, line up, then finally hit. When they know the yardage it saves almost a minute per player per approach shot and on Par 3's. Also they can increase the cup an extra 1-2 inches.
Slow players are slow precisely because they are unaware of the fact. Pre shot routine and green habits are the biggest things. Be ready to hit, hit when able.

In Japan, old or young everyone sprints to their ball. I'm talking literal constantly booking it from ball to ball. Most of all courses here are also cart path only driving.
I would like one personally, but it won’t really catch on in America. There are no cup holders for beer. And the part about sharing the cart with your buddy is part of the experience for most recreational golfers.
If you've ever played a Muni next to a rough British housing estate then this is already a common sight. Thankfully the eggheads at Sun Mountain have made it quieter than the Feral Youths on motor scooters.
Never work, just look at some of the fools that do their best on here to destroy regular carts. Now you want to give them something faster and more sporty to drive? They'd all turn into Evil Knievels in no time. I think one player to one cart would do the same thing with minimal cash out lay.
The golf course is my gym - I average 3:00 to 3:15 for 6,400 yard course while walking. Pick a line, pick a shot shape, grip it and rip it. Slow play is not a difficult puzzle.
They used to give teenage girls golf carts until one drove a cart into a water hazard and drowned her friend. T'was tragic but maybe there's a lesson to be had from the tragedy.
I don't know how much it will speed up golf play, but I think when people feel how much fun two wheels is, there will be a substantial increase in people buying motorcycles. That is my takeaway as a motorcycle enthusiast.
OK, so all 28 handicappers are banned from golf courses then? What you need to stop is the twats that spend 10 mins looking for their ball and keep me on the tee scratching my nuts whilst they do that.
I'd rather see the return of caddies. That will speed up play and improve the joy of golf. When in the UK I hired a caddy every chance I got and really missed them when I came back home to the US.
Slow play is usually from: people thinking their on the PGA tour and take 5 minutes for every damn shot, Old people that don't have anything else to do in their day, so they take forever, and people not being courteous to let people play through.
The problem here in the US is, and I asked around at many courses, they won't allow these on the course. They all claim liability concerns. But I'm sure it has more to do with the course losing revenue on rental carts.
I have my doubts on hilly courses. Not because of speed but because of safety. I think a single 3 wheel "bike" would be more stable. I do think the single golfer vehicle would help speed up play.
Although i do agree that golf should be played at a certain pace as to not ruin the flow for the golfers behind you, but nothing bugs me more then paying $80-100 to play on a really nice course and being hounded by the course manager to "hurry up". To them, they have an incentive to be that way to get as many players through the course as possible to make more money, i just want to take a little time to enjoy what i paid for.
