    Yes, I had cataract surgery. everything seemed brighter n clearer. Not quite 2 years on and my eyes are cloudy , blurred and similar to the pre opp cataracts I had. Well, two days ago, I had the Yag laser surgery . A straight forward proceedure, The cloudiness and blurred vision has gone . So, I'm hoping, once my eyes have healed my vision will be even better still .

      i had cataracts in both eyes when i was a child, the reason why i can still see is because the first surgery (on my left eye when i was about 4-5 y/o) was a success, but as time went on my right eye was getting worse so i had one done in 2020 it failed so i went back the same year, failed again and now i'm considering doing this since it's been 3 years and my right eye is still clouded

    I had it done, on my one eye 9 years after cataract surgery, time flies, now my right side needs it, right side getting fuzzy...stuff is AMAZING, after zapped, instant clarity..insurance reduced charges by over $7,000 !!! Doctor only charged $500 , got paid half, surgury center with equipment got paid abut $2K, my eyes are worth it, driving with fuzzy eyes is not good

    How does this laser burn through a capsule or the pocket that holds your cataract correction lens But does not burn the outside lens on the face of your eye

    It has been two years since I had cataract surgery. I have not complete blurry vision but have big cloudy spots in both eyes. It obstructs my vision. I have to blink as much as 3-4 times before I can read the text sometimes. I have checked with my ophthalmologist and he says he cannot explain what is doing that but it is not PCO. I have tried dry eye treatments also but that does not seem to be the case. Any guidance can help.

    YAG surgery made my vision after cataract surgery WORSE. I believe the laser pinged my acrylic lens, and now I see starbursts and rainbows- which sounds like it could be fun BUT IT'S NOT.

    • @thewhiterabbit2885
      @thewhiterabbit2885 6 лет назад +13

      It's totally not funny. I cried every day for two months. My vision after cataract surgery had a starburst effect at the source of light- but only two beams. It was also somewhat blurry. After YAG surgery it immediately had multiple beams (and I mean about twenty) - plus a rainbow beam at the one-o-clock position. Also, it was still blurry. It was worse! I'm only in my 40's. I had cataract surgery due to steroids (asthma inhalers and prednisone over-prescribed from ear/sinus infection). Not funny at all. Really fucking upsetting, actually. :( It's still like that. It never got any better. I have mostly stopped crying, but I wish I had gone to a different place, or got a different implant. I sure as hell wish I NEVER had the laser done. That made it so much worse. ~

      Hey WR. I too had the procedure done recently and I'm am left with startbursts. I read somewhere on the internet that it's due to having the capsulotomy hole being too small. Kind of makes sense but who could verify that? Find an honest ophthalmologist and see if they can confirm this and can they correct the problem? I know it sucks cause it's quite disturbing. if you find more information on this past it along to others. Good luck!
