You two playing Eldritch and Arkham Horror (Board and Card-game) is something i'd watch for days. Very immersive effects in the video too. Thank you very much!
Thanks a lot @MajorLeto. Really glad that you are enjoying our videos. Did you see our Arkham Horror Card Game Dunwich Legacy campaign? We had a lot of fun with that one. We appreciate you taking the time to comment! Thanks again!
@@AllAboardBoardgames I did not even know of that one yet. Though, my Card- Boardgame addiction, especially for Lovecraftian games, is currently reigniting. I will definitely check that one out too. 👍
@@MajorLeto Lovecraftian games are great! I'm a big fan of Mansions of Madness, Arkham Horror: The Card Game & 3rd Edition and that whole genre. The story telling is awesome and the narrative really drags you in. Dunwich Legacy is a campaign expansion. We did all 8 scenarios as a campaign recently on the channel if you are interested in seeing it. We had a great time with it.
Loved this playtrough... as stated by others, I'd love to see you guys tackle a full AH campaign with your own constructed decks! One thing I saw is that at 32:13 you passed the test where you committed Guts but didn’t draw a card (as instructed on the Guts text). This is a common one to miss, as you're just happy to have passed the test and it's easy to forget that you also get a bonus! This also happened at 1:17:02 when Pat contributed Manual Dexterity to Glia's evade attempt (when she passed, Pat should have drawn a card). All the best!
Also, at 47:55 Glai draws the skull token when using the Baseball Bat, which means it should have been discarded based on its text (thematicalky, the bat breaks).😮
At around 50:30 as soon as you are both in the hallway and the round ends (after the upkeep phase) you can spend the six clues you've collected to advance the Act. Generally, it is best to advance the Act as soon as you can fulfill its objective. 😊
Hi Craig! Thanks a lot for the comment. You were very observant! Tackling a full AH campaign does sound like a lot of fun, so we may indeed do that at some point. It's a game I really love, and I did get the Harvey Walters investigator pack, so would love to take him out on a campaign. The Guts bonus is indeed easy to miss. Just getting rid of Frozen in Fear is great and getting a bonus on top of that is amazing! Sorry we missed that. Same with Manual Dexterity! And the baseball bat!! I have made notes in the Klingon subtitles. Yeah, it would certainly have been a good idea to advance the Act. Delaying is never good in AH! Anyway, really glad you liked the video. This one was from the early days of All Aboard! Cheers!
Excellent play through. Perhaps the best video for beginners looking to play with their core set. The one possible error was when Pat discarded the Flashlight when it was out of resources. He should have kept it and it may also have helped him when he would have had to discard an asset card. Anyway, liked and subscribed!! +1 for Glai’s lovely accent and pronunciation :)
Thanks a lot Little BlueCubes! We're delighted that you enjoyed the video and Glai's lovely accent and pronunciation! :) Thanks for the tip on the Flashlight too. That is a good point - it would be great to be able to discard an out-of-battery flashlight instead of a more useful card! We appreciate the like and subscription. We hope you find some other videos on our channel that you enjoy!
Very enjoyable play through. I really like the laid back style and the back and forth between the two of you. It's a tough game to record and keep coherent, you nailed it. 🙂

No probs, we played the 1st game and after watching your video it cleared up a lot of rules we were clearly getting wrong (and i mean a lot) 😅@AllAboardBoardgames
@@joebananas2003 Haha! Yeah, there are an awful lot of rules in this game, and there can be some strange interactions between the cards too, but it is a fantastic game and as long as you are having fun that's the main thing. Some easy to miss rules to look out for are: 1) If you draw weaknesses in your opening hand leave them aside and shuffle them back into your deck after you mulligan. They don't count towards your 5 cards. 2) If a card has the keyword "Peril" you may not discuss with other players before making a decision on what to do, and other players at your location cannot commit cards to that skill test. 3) Other players at your location can commit a maximum of 1 card each to your skill test. 4) A monster does not move if it is exhausted UNLESS the card causing the move says "Forced". 5) Anything that does not cost an action does not cause an Attack of Opportunity, for example, Fast actions or reactions. 6) "Retaliate" only happens after a FAILED skill test. 7) If you need to draw a card from your deck and there are no cards left, reshuffle your deck and take 1 horror. 8) Even if you use all the resources on a card, do not discard that card from in front of you. You can discard it if an encounter causes it to be discarded, or if you have no slots left and want to play a card to that slot (hand slots, amulet slots etc). 9) Tests on Encounter cards in a player's threat area can be done by ANY investigator in the same location. So, for example, you can resolve another player's Weakness if you are on the same location. 10) Actions with the Lightning icon can be taken multiple times in the same phase. For example, with "Hard Knocks" you could spend 3 resources to get +3 to your combat. Hope this helps and have fun!!!
