Remember big pharma would not release that shot with liability, the only reason we got that shot to the market was our politicians failed us miserably! The politicians that approved this EUA BS should be removed from office and charged for their criminal acts against the citizens of the U.S.!

Overregulation and overtaxation is also crime, especially if the customer wants the product at his own risk without middlemen forcing both sides to pay premium. It distorts price signals.

Western bankers who claim to be ethical, greedy European traders and huge supposedly honest shipping companies also make a profit from this business, but their owners are not treated as criminals. Traffickers of illicit drugs and counterfeit medicines would be thrown out of the international market if white-collar criminals were arrested. And there is another side of the problem that is not discussed here: European populations have become impoverished as a result of neoliberalism and poor people don't think about the times when they can save some money when they need to buy medicines.

while there is a huge problem with fake medication, this documentary forgets to adress that india and china are important producers of generica. medication that infringes patents, but is just as effextiv as the 'expensive' original. the production of generica is incredibly important for the global south. this documentary does talk about the worrys of the industry, but not about/with the producers of generica.
this documentary looks to me like a propaganda movie for the industry. and the topic is way more complicated than just 'only buy originals'...

If medication was affordable without an insane mark-up above production cost then counterfeit drugs wouldnt exist. Government should fund prescription drugs, research and development. I know a free market creates innovation but what good is innovation if the people who need the drug arent utilzing it because they cant afford it? Prescription drug patents are a double edge sword. The patent only last a few years then any company can make generic drugs using only reverse engineering and no research and development cost.
