I'm an ex land rover master tech Jimmy, that noise is the balance shaft bearings. Ask any land rover tech, really common, I did dozens at the dealers. I guarantee you go into any dealer workshop and they will have one or two on the ramp 🤣. You need to replace the shafts and you need the correct timing tools to set the shafts too.
@@ORileysAutos I was a master tech, so never seen the cost of the job, most of the shafts we changed were done under warranty. It's labour intensive but can be done in one day. (when you're done a few) Drop the engine oil out. Frame off, gearbox off, clutch /torque converter off, backplate off, (if you haven't drianed the engine oil it will poor out over the sump at this point ) leave the chains on, remove the front crank pulley and cover, support the engine, undo the engine mount and lower the engine slowly unill the shafts can be pulled 'straight' out the crank pulley end. Now you need the correct timing plate that bolts the the block (crank pulley end) this will time up the shaft before you remove them. Remove the retaining bolts from the shafts (gearbox end). Fit the special rod which screws into the bolt holes and push the shafts out. Hold them dead level as they come out. Then feed the new shafts in using the rod as a guide and then time up using the plate, then put it all back together. Alot of work mate. Like I said did loads, obviously remove the aux belt and run the engine to confirm. It's the 2.0 ingenium engine designed and built by JLR. It's in the disco 5 too and the velar. Ps. If someones is doing the job, just pop the gearbox off the IRD/transfer box. Leave the whole exhaust connected as it will also help steady the engine when you have it support. Clamp of the gearbox cooler pipes so no need to drop the antifreeze either. Don't make work for yourself 😉.

It won't circulate via low pressure EGR but easily can lead to the hydraulic impact to the engine. Instead you can get to the oxygen sensor by removing the turbine cover.
