Let's not forget the GP30s that are still around. While it looks weird for an ATSF F7 to be on present Cajon Pass considering _most_ of the surviving F7s are in railroad museums, it wouldn't be too far from the truth, if BNSF decided to use one of the old reliables to get shit done. Also, high cube boxcars appeared as early as the _1960s_ and have been in use ever since. So, that anachronism stew you see is actually correct, though again, most surviving EMD F7s are in railroad museums, so seeing an ATSF EMD F7 in 2022 wouldn't be Anachronistic, assuming 2022 is the year the TSW 3 Cajon Pass takes place. The SD40-2 was around during the late late days so I think the SD40-2 makes it look real. But the paint is what ruins it. We need an ATSF Bluebonnet SD40-2
It really annoys me to see locomotives from the 50's in a route set in the recent years, somewhere between 2010, and 2022. Don't get me wrong, I love the F7, I think they did a excellent job, but passing a F7 in a ES44 just doesn't make any sense. If they can layer a F7 onto Cajon, I bet they could layer some boxcars from Clinchfield onto this route.
I feel as though a more appropriate add-on for Cajon would be a livery pack adding BNSF Heritage 1 for the SD40-2, and both Heritage 1 and 2 for the ES44 (even though they were used on locos like Dash 8s and 9s). But I, at the very least, appreciate the fact that DTG made Warbonnet Fs officially part of the game, as opposed to relying on creating or downloading a custom skin.
No, I feel like a Dash 9 addon would be more appropriate, maybe with H1 and H2 variants. I could care less about H1 on the 40-2 since most of them have been repainted and it's only a matter of time before they all get H4'd.

The most time consuming thing about it would probably be modelling the trucks, but other than that they could just shorten the C40-8W's frame and move the numberboards. They're almost all in H4 now too.

the F7 physics seem off to me , an A,B,A loco struggles to pull 18 cars up out of San Bernie ,speed died to under 15 mph before even getting to the real steep stuff
Here's what they should have done with the F7 give it Super Chief Coaches then run that using the current 2022 schedule. F7 Horseshoe curve Pennsylvanian setup 1971-1979/1980 Amfleet I & II with Generator Van. IF Skyhook games and DTG wants the Pennsylvanian 1970s on Horseshoe curve 2021 version using it's current schedule
This update screams laziness like the Harlem Line update. They're just taking content they already made and slapped some new paint on it. I was excited at first because I thought we could drive the Super Chief or something cool, but its just Clinchfield in the desert.

I'd rather have a nice looking ATSF F7 that has advanced functions and controls than have an ATSF F7 that looks like who did it and why with shitty controls and almost no authentic and dynamic in cab functionality
The only reason anyone is getting excited over this is because DTG is hyping it up. These are not new locos they are already existing TSW locos with new liveries, that's all. It just shows how incredibly cheap and shameless DTG really are (and that they have conditioned TSW players to lower their expectations and get "excited" over paying for things they already own).

Dtg don't have reference material for the coaches. It would have required them to fly out and get photos and all which depends on if the toc says yes
