I went to Saudi Arabia two months ago with my friend. I do not hide from you. I was afraid because of our fake corrupt American media telling us that it is not a good country, but the moment I got there I was shocked by the beauty, progress and civilization of Saudi Arabia. It is a very very beautiful country. If I had listened to the false and corrupt American media, I would not have gone to Saudi Arabia to learn about its beauty and the beauty of its civilization. She is very beautiful and the people are good.

Welcome to Saudi Arabia, my advice to you is to land near the islands of the cities of Al-Wajh and Umluj, as they are one of the most beautiful islands in Saudi Arabia, then go to the city of Al-Ula, which is one of the wonders of the world and is rich in archaeological treasures, and the discoveries still do not stop. You can visit Madinah Al-Munawwarah as well. The cities of the Red Sea are distinguished in diving due to the large number of coral reefs. Many go to Yanbu for diving The city of Sharma and Qayal is within the boundaries of the NEOM city project and its beaches are also beautiful

Yes, it’s really a shame of western media to keep us in the dark of what countries really are like. I don’t think the media in the west have even spoken about all the changes Saudi has gone through specifically from 2017. No wonder Saudi often refuse western media entry because they j know it will just be another hit piece to scare us away. Jeddah and Riyadh have become two of the worlds most futuristic cities, with many tech start ups. Before 2017, most nationalities couldn’t just fly into Saudi. We needed an invite from someone in Saudi. Now we easiky get 3 months visa 9n arrival, six months is possible as well. Service is top notch, it’s super clean and super safe. Women can drive, they don’t have to wear niqab or coverings if they don’t want to (in the big cities), however in small villages they are more conservative. I always prefer to be on the safe side and respect the counties culture (cover shoulders, knees etc. I love that place.

I’m glad you like Jeddah, it’s supposed to have great diving, snorkeling so hopefully you check that out. I saw your crossing and visit to Socotra.. As a former sailor, that looked horrifying. Glad you made it and the boat passed it with flying colors. All those kids coming for you on the tender looked so uncomfortable , whoa! almost a bit scary. They don’t behave like westerners as the manners differ greatly it seems like. Very Interesting to see though. Same with all the hitch hikers. Yikes!! I don’t think Zatara showed any of that in their videos from there lol 😂 Would have loved to hear Keith’s honest opinion as I’m sure he would have used some colorful language, at least when camera was off! Maybe they don’t show it so others get scared going there because their channel has a lot of subs, and has gotten more commercialized, maybe Becasue if nr of do,lowers and they din5 wan5 to paint a country , place bad, but it should be genuine, like your videos, that’s what 8n prefer anyway. Try to sail and visit Jeddah resort&marina Durrat Al-arous, Indigo, or silver Beach. KAUST and KAEC also, very near to you less than 100km and they have very cool harbors and anchorage . 300km away from Jeddah there is the historical port and town of Yanbu as well. If you can continue your journey along the cost there are two mega projects under constructions: The Redsea project is a 200km along the cost line, and next to will be NEOM project which gona be around 400 km till the border of Jordan, my point is everything will change from next year and this the last time you can see those rare virgins islands and coast, before being developed and full of resorts and tourists. . You can anchor in Umluj or Tabuk to visit the heritage sites in AL-Ula, which most be visited since you already in Saudi Arabia.
Nice and unusual, and I'm looking forward to the next one. I'll be honest; my first thought was "ooo, she better cover up..". My parents lived in Abha for quite a while (my dad was working there), and I visited in '96. Western women were asked to dress appropriately to their custom. The diving at Jeddah was amazing, and the place is pretty stunning. Definitely a men's world. Getting from Abha to Jeddah was some of the scariest driving I've ever been part of. That YC looks absolutely amazing and true to form.

Back in the 80'S i was working in Jedah, part of a crew from Singapore building a barge, a German Co. was building a Hugh desalination plant, we were told it was to turn the area into farming [growing food], the area was just starting to be torn down for a new city, also the Haj was in full swing, Muslims from all over the word arriving, very colorful, especially the Lady's from Africa, amazing to see the new city, enjoy your channel from the start. This was because we heard so many negative things about entering KSA, especially with a boat. OMG we are so happy did stop. KSA is so much different that what is portrayed in the Western Media. How was that? I was flying pilgrims from Kano, Nigeria to Jedda in 1987, we as a crew had no chance to enter the city - we where deemed non believers and we could be suspected to drink alcohol. It is nice to see how welcome u where. Expensive?
They, apparently, have warmed to our non believer status since we have agreed to share our aircraft and weaponry with them. I have a family member who travelled there many times for contract negotiations for one of our major defense contractors. lol
There's obviously more to the story than just weapon sales. I think the quest to spice up a purely oil based economy with tourism, and in-country production of goods, may have something to do with it as well. Fair Winds

I hope, that in the next trips, you can stop in some Arabian harbou/bay and not only in the cities marinas, to see , first , if this is possibile and, alto, to see some Natural and not artificial places…

Freedom of expression does not exist, and punishments such as amputation, stoning, flogging and the death penalty are regularly carried out, the latter also for homosexuality. However, a cautious "modernization" of society is initiated under the currently de facto ruling Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Fair winds and have a safe trip further into the Mediterranean.
