You don't boot into the hunter menu anymore. You boot into the store. You used to boot into the game itself and now you get booted into the EFFing store?!?!??! Video games are not shopping simulators with a side of gameplay. Every other company is realizing this now and looking for ways to revert and hunt is just now catching up to doing it. They are way behind the times for people who accept this bs.
Honestly, hunt was at its best when it was this cowboys-meet-dawn of the dead creepy horror shooter. I miss the ebb and flow of gun battles back in the day with revolvers, lever actions, and rifles. Its just become a full on twitch shooter now. Too many semi-auto weapons, extremely fast paced gun fights, headshots only. Now with MMR changes many like myself are hard stuck in 6-star (despite me losing 50 matches in 3 days to try and lower the MMR to 5 stars). The playerbase at 6* has gotten very good at headshots. Gunfights last less than a couple minutes most times. Third partying is just throwing frag bombs at the survivors and wall banging them or headshotting at distance. It sucks
Agree, although I'm on the other spectrum, I played myself down to 1 star now. I encounter 2 types of players, one are those that don't know what to do, they don't even shoot back. And the other are all pretty new accounts killing me with their first bullet, through all kinds of walls, including stone walls where the bullets shouldn't go through. I have the footage. And I only play with yt now. Game screws me over as well, just now I shot with a crossbow at a player 2m away and the bolt goes twice the crosshair width to the side missing the target, not even an aim punch. Watched it 3x in 20% speed because it's so unbelievable.
With the changes to dead hunter burn speed, the increasing sensitivity of sound traps I really come to think that they want to speed up Hunt matches by a lot. They create confrontation and make the confrontation between the hunters find a quicker end. I am not happy with it, since I really came to love the slow pace. The burn and necro changes are something I think is kind of okay though.
The necro changes kinda killed the solo experience for me. It surely wasn't uncalled for to nerf solo necro but I'm having a hard time having fun playing solo right now. The worst part is surviving a trio and then being ambushed by another trio. I understand "solo necro once per combat" but "solo necro once per match" actually discourages me from engaging and getting things done, pushing me to be a rat, or an asshole and wait for the end of a fight to finish the survivors off. I also don't like the game getting sped up either. Less time to think, less time to explore your options. Fewer opportunuties to turn the tables, which is the worst part.
i said the same thing i liked it for being tarkov lite but now their just slowly edging it to cod even the menu looks like its owned by activistion now also since 1896 both events have hunter skins that are basically identical but only slight differences which is kinda bullshit compared to their old packs

This game is really missing it's plot. It used to be all about its slow gameplay. Fights could be over in one shot, or last 10 mins or more depending on different factors. This games just feels different now. I don't know if it's that the TTK is different, too many spammy super smooth weapons added, too many powerful stuff added, or what but this game definitely lost the thing that really made it feel like a turn of the 1900 century game.
They pretty much ruined it. 1896 update should've been just engine rehaul rather than call of duty rip off cosmetics and weapons additions. It lost it's charm tbh
@@tisigrozen This. Played the game for 4 Years and it became my most played and loved game. It was unique, it was different and it did not force you into a specific playstyle. Go sneaky beaky, go battering ram or play it out save. it sure had some flaws but i loved it the way it was. 1896 made me actually quit. It lost everything i loved about the game. It got the beyond awful, generic CoD UI/menu, it lost it's special kind of pace, to many weapons or powerful tools etc. It's charm is gone and im real sad what crytek did to our game.

One of, if not the most overturned and broken thing they ever went live with. There is no need for melee weapons or other tools, it straight out outperforms everything else...
I don't think you're entirely wrong, but 6 star lobbies are still dominated by long ammo rifles. The dolch is an issue there sure as it's the king of spam, but it's a little crazy to me that every time a remotely fast firing gun is added people claim it's ruining the game, and all I see are mosins and lebels anyway.
They could do the pumpkin themed hunters as free hunters during the event. That way everyone gets to enjoy them if they want, and then they go away after the event. That could become an ongoing theme with these holiday based events. I wanna say that the hunters in the Scorched Earth trailer were in my inventory as a 1 time use when that launched, but I could be wrong about that.
The wolf skin is straight up Blaidd from Elden Ring. Now they just need to give us a longsword skin for the katana and we can rp the Half Wolf in the bayou...
The winnie vandal deadeye is actually pretty good after the sway and deadeye buffs, dropoff starts at 145 so it can pretty easily contest the mosin boys if you can click heads. I'd recommend giving it a shot if you want to get into the vandal snipey mood mike!
Honestly. I don't like the direction Crytek is taking with the game. I play hunt for 4 years now and i always liked that it was somewhat grounded. But now with a syringe gun and magical bombs? This doesn't feel like the game i started to play.

Hunts has always included heavy use of Syringes, Magic, and Bombs... so throw some of them together why not?!? I think there are plenty of VALID critiques of HUNT out there and I agree with several of them. Call me crazy but I don’t think it’ll be that used purely because it’s price makes it a dolch competitor. It even needs quartermaster to use, and all that investment just to be worse than someone running a full shotgun keeps it in check. We’ll see though, it’s definitely the weapon I’m most worried about. Don’t want the loadouts to become even more samey than they are.
balancewise yes i fully agree. but from a technical standpoint, cutting off the barrel of a shotgun doesnt do anything to ammo count unless you cut the mag tube, and the clown and cringe already had a super short magtube compared to barrel length

@@RimHellworth looking at the two side by side, the mag tube actually got cut down a bit on the specter shorty. the Auto's tube is built into the weapon's main body, you can see that "only" the barrel was touched. again, for balance, i agree it shouldnt have 5+1, but whether that actually happens? we'll see in 5 days
My thoughts on the entire trailer can be summed up to: "excited for the bomb thrower, bit concerned about the crown and revive bolt" but as always, lets see how they feel ingame before judging too harshly
The last event is barely over and we already get the next one with more stuff. I don't want slob I want a working game. I rather have some balance and bug fix patches and some time to check out all the new stuff but I guess modern gaming is just consume, consume, consume.

Every company has departments doing different things, like when people complain about a new skin " fix the game first" yeah sure lets get an artist to fix bugs. And ive been playing hunt 6 years, even when there almost no events it was still buggy, that's the developers and devs mate.
Bomb launcher could be interesting, but I'll most likely still run the lance for the blade (It's surprisingly effective at 3 stars lol). They need to be careful with the dark sight c4 cos that could be super powerful. The main downside I see with the revive bolts is that it will encourage insta burning so they can't be revived, although if it gets the meta sweats to give up on the dolch it may be a worthy trade off.
So.. more than ever, Vigilant is a mandatory trait... They said they intended to reduce stalemates, but some decisions are making it worse, for example: Beetles doing 50 damage, Bear Traps doing 82 damage, and that new Remote C4...
i keep getting matches where long ammo camps 100m fron the lair and spams fire beetles, usually we just extract but that sucks. i wanted to fight but my opponents clearly don't

@@Cr3ePiO It is actually easy to kill someone using beetles... You get close enough but still in a safe place with cover, you throw 3 at someone and it's an easy kill.
They can add as many new "options" as they want, but if the game is full of unfixed bugs and issues, and new ones are keep coming up and the game itself is annoying to play, these new "options" may not save the day.
Yeah I'm not having the bugs either and since the new engine I've only DC 2 times. I play on a pretty basic laptop and it runs just fine. I also play off a phone hotspot for internet so sometimes I have latency problems but nothing game breaking and no bugs.

So probably 7 new hunters, that's wild. 3 pumpkin hunters 1 Samurai 1 female Hayali 2 (?) Wolfhead hunters (same hunter, but one variant without her mask?)
Kenjutsu/Kendo does not have ro be Samurai. Especially at the end of the Tokugawa shogunate many commoners went into these schools and became swordmans. Fun fact two of the most famos Shinsengumi were actually commoners who trained quite hard.
I completely missed the hand crossbow heal the first time. I think it'll be okay if it's a aoe mist that basically has regen shot with a slow necro on it. This would make choke counterplay disperse it and make it clearly visible when it's down. Plus, this would oddly make it viable for a solo to throw down on themselves if firing from a long range to maybe get a free non-necro revive on themselves (incoming new deranking meta... :/). I've actually thought that this type of mechanic would be great for a THROWABLE... odd that it's showing up as an ammo type. This will likely make hand crossbow with choke/heal + krag an easy meta pick for the event. (if they don't nerf the krag) My first thought was that the "C4" was that it was a "decoy clue", but after this I think you're right about the remote detonation. I was scared of the Crown and King at first, but I think it'll probably have like 3 shots, so more of a premium rival with 3 shots at the end of the day. Having a pocket silenced balls/waxed frag is gonna be hype. Bomb lance is just unplayable on Mammon's Gulch.
I think there is a big difference between necro and the revive bolt. That beeing that you need line of sight for the bolt. And to be honest, I quite like it

Yeah totally miss long ammo camping and boring uppercuts. 6* is such a snoozefest. Believe me, everyone running shotguns and dolch isn't any better but I'd rather not deal with people that rat it out and 40 min stalemates because people are too scared about their KDR.

I think a cool idea for the "Darksight C4" is if it's also triggered if Hunters inside its radius use Darksight! Situational for sure, but would still allow it to act a bit like a mine. And I agree, we need MORE wacky weapons like the Bomb Thrower!
I'll be honest, it's refreshing to hear it from someone else who had the same love for Hunt to say that they're not pleased with the game in its current state. Feels like I been stuck in an echo chamber of fan boys who shout that it's better than ever, but it's losing it's charm for me. After 3k+ hours and Hunt holding my favorite game spot for 2 years, it no longer feels like the same Hunt to me. Maybe because of how you said it's "going more towards COD." Really hoping the new additions will revive my love for it!
Huh, for me, it's the opposite. I limited my engagement with the community because of the rampant and, at least to me, what is a hyperbolic sentiment that the game is being 'turned into cod'. Don't get me wrong, I'm not too fond of many things about the game's current state, but that is not one of the things I've ever seen.
@@NgaMarsters They're slowly transitioning to it. Started back with the beetles. They're basically drones. Now they're adding remote c4. They're also adding a "quick" match where it looks like it's going to be a limited timer and area for faster gameplay if I understand it correctly. It all gives me COD vibes with the direction they're going.

Short auto 5 smells like OP. Darks sight C4 seems ok if it makes noise for about 4 seconds or less before detonation like other grenades and it would be fun to be able to defuse and take control of enemy bombs.
Hand Crossbow Revive Bolt. So basically parties get multiple revives while solo gets 1 with necro and usually you can get no advantage over it due to fast burn. Not sure I like where this is going, but we'll see.
the part about the hand crossbow maybe being shown able to heal or revive I think that sounds super exciting because in most games I love being a medic every since team fortress 2 I have loved playing a healer slash medic and I wish in a hunt you could somehow fulfill that role without sacrificing your own medicine so to me I am excited to see this

i want a gamemode where every hunter just has their head replaced by a bright orange pumpkin. if they have a hat the hat goes on top of the pumpkin. if they get headshot instead of blood there is pumpkin juice and bits of pumpkin that explode out similar to the pumpkins on the ground from previous events.
Hunt is on the trajectory to become CoD. Pretty dangerous. I hope they can turn around. The current state of Hunt is very dire. Many performance issues, bugs, balancing issues, the UI (which we could count as Bug). And instead of taking the time to fix stuff, they pump out more events and skins... Edit: Lol I just heard you say the same thing regarding hunt becoming CoD, I wrote that before hearing it xD
I personally don't see that at all, it's getting faster but all live service games do that over their life time. It's the natural progression of how games operate over time

This should make for some interesting changes and dynamics within hunt. While I don't think hunt is dead, I do find myself playing less and less due to the constant frame drops I seem to be getting every time I play. So much so that when I play it makes the game basically unplayable which is unfortunate, but like I've heard you say to many times to count. When you die because of a poor choice you made that is fine, but when the game bends you over and causes you to die it's just not enjoyable. With all that thank you for your continued striving to make these even if these don't always get the same love as your other content. I also think that with everything that has changed with hunt it may be time to revise and recreate a "How To Play Hunt" video to help with the on boarding of all these new players we seem to be getting. It does not feel anymore like Hunt is designed around some idea of player experience. I completely to the "we have a game, what toy we can add to keep players "engaged", so they will keep buying staff". It's not necessarily bad for all games, but it means that whatever make the game unique will continue to be gradually dissolved.
Quicker burn is really only nice against solo's for me becaue I don't have to wait 2 minutes and do nothing. Other then that it really sucks. When you don't play with your teammates in throwing range of a choke your teammate is dead, when they have dauntless you teammate loses at least 50hp or is dead. During the event fast burn was okay, because you could "loot" your bars back. Now it's just better to leave the match. Going in a fight with one teammate on like 50 and the other on 75 just sucks. There are so many ways to fix this. There are many good ideas in the community I hope they pick one soon. Only faster burn while inside a fire for example. Would also nerf the flare and flarepistol at least a bit. Another idea I just had: Make it so that in the first 25sec you only burn for 1hp/sec so you have 25sec to save your teammates bar (32sec with Salveskin) , after that he burns down fast like now. I think what would also work if you just nerf the burning via flare and flarepistol. But there are many more ideas in the community. I hope they at least see it as a problem they want to fix. I don't feel like this faster burn changed anything about stalemates. We just get encouraged to leave the match early.
The short auto5 will probably have like 3 shells in the magazine. But could be fun. I almost never play double medium loudouts though, I'll rather take quartermaster and play long and medium.

Mike, I just heard you complaining about burn speed in team play. This is a quick way to res a burning teammate from cover without buffing necro back to previous OPness and without halting the pace of combat. If a team is focused on the burning body then they are vulnerable to attack, if they are focusing on the other team you can hit your teammate with the res bolt. Also, the "Samurai" looks more like a Kendo training uniform.
I think the hand crossbow heal is just to give the teams the necro "back" because it was the solo portion that sparked controversy. Im kinda neutral about it
I hope at least that if we get reviving crossbows the necromancer trait is no longer a burn trait and instead just only works once per match. New kendo skin fits my devotion to always bring a katana in protest of the spear.
Hey Mike, I think rather than a balance to Necro, the crossbow revive might be Cryteks attempt to balance burn time. Not 100% on that but that's kind of my guess

@@marco8414we already have kill traps in the game, using alert mines you can instant burn somone to redskull so not really, anyway it seems like these and the revive darts are only for that game mode
But it’s not negating the necro nerf necessarily because necro and a bolt are not the same thing. One is a burn perk you don’t need line of sight and can use on yourself. The other is ammo in your kit that you do need line of sight with and can only use on teammates.
Man, you sound really down on the bomblance, but I destroy with it. The ball bearings do more damage than most shotguns (or did, I haven't looked at the latest changes) making one hit kills more common vs shotguns, and they're almost silent which keeps you hidden and has a big psychological impact on the dead person's teammates when their buddy just died for no apparent reason. Then you have a 1HK blade that extends fairly far, and that makes mopping up hunters easy too, especially in tight buildings. These are offset by the painfully slow load time, the much slower swing time vs the katana, and the energy usage. Those last 2 can be counter-acted by stims and play style to help. Not to mention it thoroughly destroys all NPCs and bosses! Overall, I find it very well balanced, and when paired with a Mosin shorty or Centennial shorty silencer with HV ammo, one of the most versatile weapons load outs in the game.

I dont like the pumpkin hunters. I understand that this is very much regarding the personal taste. But for example do I want the military ambience when entering CoD. And after a week, they release neonbright colored skins and anime dog tags. Okay, but why dont advertise it upfront? Because they want to cash in a new customer base, no matter if the previous ones liked it. These new skins are a step away from the previous mainly well implemented different styles of the Hunt lore. I do think it will get worse from here on out.

Now with MMR changes many like myself are hard stuck in 6-star (despite me losing 50 matches in 3 days to try and lower the MMR to 5 stars). The playerbase at 6* has gotten very good at headshots. Gunfights last less than a couple minutes most times. Third partying is just throwing frag bombs at the survivors and wall banging them or headshotting at distance. It sucks

Agree, although I'm on the other spectrum, I played myself down to 1 star now. I encounter 2 types of players, one are those that don't know what to do, they don't even shoot back. And the other are all pretty new accounts killing me with their first bullet, through all kinds of walls, including stone walls where the bullets shouldn't go through. I have the footage. And I only play with yt now. Game screws me over as well, just now I shot with a crossbow at a player 2m away and the bolt goes twice the crosshair width to the side missing the target, not even an aim punch. Watched it 3x in 20% speed because it's so unbelievable.
With the changes to dead hunter burn speed, the increasing sensitivity of sound traps I really come to think that they want to speed up Hunt matches by a lot. They create confrontation and make the confrontation between the hunters find a quicker end. I am not happy with it, since I really came to love the slow pace. The burn and necro changes are something I think is kind of okay though.
this game was super slow way back in the day. average game now is maybe 20 minutes.
The necro changes kinda killed the solo experience for me. It surely wasn't uncalled for to nerf solo necro but I'm having a hard time having fun playing solo right now. The worst part is surviving a trio and then being ambushed by another trio. I understand "solo necro once per combat" but "solo necro once per match" actually discourages me from engaging and getting things done, pushing me to be a rat, or an asshole and wait for the end of a fight to finish the survivors off.
I also don't like the game getting sped up either. Less time to think, less time to explore your options. Fewer opportunuties to turn the tables, which is the worst part.
i said the same thing i liked it for being tarkov lite but now their just slowly edging it to cod even the menu looks like its owned by activistion now also since 1896 both events have hunter skins that are basically identical but only slight differences which is kinda bullshit compared to their old packs

This game is really missing it's plot. It used to be all about its slow gameplay. Fights could be over in one shot, or last 10 mins or more depending on different factors.
This games just feels different now. I don't know if it's that the TTK is different, too many spammy super smooth weapons added, too many powerful stuff added, or what but this game definitely lost the thing that really made it feel like a turn of the 1900 century game.
They pretty much ruined it. 1896 update should've been just engine rehaul rather than call of duty rip off cosmetics and weapons additions. It lost it's charm tbh

Go sneaky beaky, go battering ram or play it out save. it sure had some flaws but i loved it the way it was. 1896 made me actually quit.
It lost everything i loved about the game. It got the beyond awful, generic CoD UI/menu, it lost it's special kind of pace, to many weapons or powerful tools etc. It's charm is gone and im real sad what crytek did to our game.

I don't think you're entirely wrong, but 6 star lobbies are still dominated by long ammo rifles. The dolch is an issue there sure as it's the king of spam, but it's a little crazy to me that every time a remotely fast firing gun is added people claim it's ruining the game, and all I see are mosins and lebels anyway.
They could do the pumpkin themed hunters as free hunters during the event. That way everyone gets to enjoy them if they want, and then they go away after the event. That could become an ongoing theme with these holiday based events. I wanna say that the hunters in the Scorched Earth trailer were in my inventory as a 1 time use when that launched, but I could be wrong about that.
The wolf skin is straight up Blaidd from Elden Ring. Now they just need to give us a longsword skin for the katana and we can rp the Half Wolf in the bayou...

The winnie vandal deadeye is actually pretty good after the sway and deadeye buffs, dropoff starts at 145 so it can pretty easily contest the mosin boys if you can click heads. I'd recommend giving it a shot if you want to get into the vandal snipey mood mike!
Honestly. I don't like the direction Crytek is taking with the game. I play hunt for 4 years now and i always liked that it was somewhat grounded. But now with a syringe gun and magical bombs? This doesn't feel like the game i started to play.
I respect that you've got your feelings/opinions but if yah can... please explain how a "syringe gun and magical bombs" doesn't "feel like the game you started to play 4 years ago." Hunts has always included heavy use of Syringes, Magic, and Bombs... so throw some of them together why not?!? Within Hunt's world it just makes sense, lol. why are these additions "crossing the line" ?

Call me crazy but I don’t think it’ll be that used purely because it’s price makes it a dolch competitor. It even needs quartermaster to use, and all that investment just to be worse than someone running a full shotgun keeps it in check. We’ll see though, it’s definitely the weapon I’m most worried about. Don’t want the loadouts to become even more samey than they are.

balancewise yes i fully agree. but from a technical standpoint, cutting off the barrel of a shotgun doesnt do anything to ammo count unless you cut the mag tube, and the clown and cringe already had a super short magtube compared to barrel length

@@RimHellworth looking at the two side by side, the mag tube actually got cut down a bit on the specter shorty. the Auto's tube is built into the weapon's main body, you can see that "only" the barrel was touched.

Bomb launcher could be interesting, but I'll most likely still run the lance for the blade (It's surprisingly effective at 3 stars lol). They need to be careful with the dark sight c4 cos that could be super powerful. The main downside I see with the revive bolts is that it will encourage insta burning so they can't be revived, although if it gets the meta sweats to give up on the dolch it may be a worthy trade off.

They can add as many new "options" as they want, but if the game is full of unfixed bugs and issues, and new ones are keep coming up and the game itself is annoying to play, these new "options" may not save the day.

Yeah I'm not having the bugs either and since the new engine I've only DC 2 times. I play on a pretty basic laptop and it runs just fine. I also play off a phone hotspot for internet so sometimes I have latency problems but nothing game breaking and no bugs.

Sort of. That is Kendō armor, which is used for practicing Japanese "fencing." So the hunter could be an ex-samurai (the samurai class was disbanded in the 1870s), but it also just could be a non-samurai practitioner.

Kenjutsu/Kendo does not have ro be Samurai. Especially at the end of the Tokugawa shogunate many commoners went into these schools and became swordmans. Fun fact two of the most famos Shinsengumi were actually commoners who trained quite hard.

I completely missed the hand crossbow heal the first time. I think it'll be okay if it's a aoe mist that basically has regen shot with a slow necro on it. This would make choke counterplay disperse it and make it clearly visible when it's down. Plus, this would oddly make it viable for a solo to throw down on themselves if firing from a long range to maybe get a free non-necro revive on themselves (incoming new deranking meta... :/). I've actually thought that this type of mechanic would be great for a THROWABLE... odd that it's showing up as an ammo type. This will likely make hand crossbow with choke/heal + krag an easy meta pick for the event. (if they don't nerf the krag)
My first thought was that the "C4" was that it was a "decoy clue", but after this I think you're right about the remote detonation.
I was scared of the Crown and King at first, but I think it'll probably have like 3 shots, so more of a premium rival with 3 shots at the end of the day.
Having a pocket silenced balls/waxed frag is gonna be hype. Bomb lance is just unplayable on Mammon's Gulch.

I think a cool idea for the "Darksight C4" is if it's also triggered if Hunters inside its radius use Darksight! Situational for sure, but would still allow it to act a bit like a mine.

I'll be honest, it's refreshing to hear it from someone else who had the same love for Hunt to say that they're not pleased with the game in its current state.
Feels like I been stuck in an echo chamber of fan boys who shout that it's better than ever, but it's losing it's charm for me. After 3k+ hours and Hunt holding my favorite game spot for 2 years, it no longer feels like the same Hunt to me. Maybe because of how you said it's "going more towards COD."

Huh, for me, it's the opposite. I limited my engagement with the community because of the rampant and, at least to me, what is a hyperbolic sentiment that the game is being 'turned into cod'. Don't get me wrong, I'm not too fond of many things about the game's current state, but that is not one of the things I've ever seen.
@@NgaMarsters They're slowly transitioning to it. Started back with the beetles. They're basically drones. Now they're adding remote c4. They're also adding a "quick" match where it looks like it's going to be a limited timer and area for faster gameplay if I understand it correctly. It all gives me COD vibes with the direction they're going.

Very curious about the Dark Sight bomb. I think a nice balance would be if disarming it gained you a dynamite stick for your inventory.
Short auto 5 smells like OP. Darks sight C4 seems ok if it makes noise for about 4 seconds or less before detonation like other grenades and it would be fun to be able to defuse and take control of enemy bombs.

Hand Crossbow Revive Bolt. So basically parties get multiple revives while solo gets 1 with necro and usually you can get no advantage over it due to fast burn.

I have loved playing a healer slash medic and I wish in a hunt you could somehow fulfill that role without sacrificing your own medicine so to me I am excited to see this

i want a gamemode where every hunter just has their head replaced by a bright orange pumpkin. if they have a hat the hat goes on top of the pumpkin. if they get headshot instead of blood there is pumpkin juice and bits of pumpkin that explode out similar to the pumpkins on the ground from previous events.

Hunt is on the trajectory to become CoD. Pretty dangerous. I hope they can turn around. The current state of Hunt is very dire. Many performance issues, bugs, balancing issues, the UI (which we could count as Bug). And instead of taking the time to fix stuff, they pump out more events and skins...

This should make for some interesting changes and dynamics within hunt. While I don't think hunt is dead, I do find myself playing less and less due to the constant frame drops I seem to be getting every time I play. So much so that when I play it makes the game basically unplayable which is unfortunate, but like I've heard you say to many times to count. When you die because of a poor choice you made that is fine, but when the game bends you over and causes you to die it's just not enjoyable.
With all that thank you for your continued striving to make these even if these don't always get the same love as your other content. I also think that with everything that has changed with hunt it may be time to revise and recreate a "How To Play Hunt" video to help with the on boarding of all these new players we seem to be getting. Love your work regardless of what you make here and on twitch. Keep it up and I will always continue to support!!

It does not feel anymore like Hunt is designed around some idea of player experience. I completely to the "we have a game, what toy we can add to keep players "engaged", so they will keep buying staff". It's not necessarily bad for all games, but it means that whatever make the game unique will continue to be gradually dissolved.

With the "revive bolt" I think if you can either only revive each teammate once, or you can only use it the first time someone is downed.
Quicker burn is really only nice against solo's for me becaue I don't have to wait 2 minutes and do nothing.
Other then that it really sucks. When you don't play with your teammates in throwing range of a choke your teammate is dead, when they have dauntless you teammate loses at least 50hp or is dead. During the event fast burn was okay, because you could "loot" your bars back. Now it's just better to leave the match. Going in a fight with one teammate on like 50 and the other on 75 just sucks. There are so many ways to fix this. There are many good ideas in the community I hope they pick one soon. Only faster burn while inside a fire for example. Would also nerf the flare and flarepistol at least a bit. Another idea I just had: Make it so that in the first 25sec you only burn for 1hp/sec so you have 25sec to save your teammates bar (32sec with Salveskin) , after that he burns down fast like now. I think what would also work if you just nerf the burning via flare and flarepistol. But there are many more ideas in the community. I hope they at least see it as a problem they want to fix.
I don't feel like this faster burn changed anything about stalemates. We just get encouraged to leave the match early.

Mike, I just heard you complaining about burn speed in team play. This is a quick way to res a burning teammate from cover without buffing necro back to previous OPness and without halting the pace of combat. If a team is focused on the burning body then they are vulnerable to attack, if they are focusing on the other team you can hit your teammate with the res bolt.
Also, the "Samurai" looks more like a Kendo training uniform.
I think the hand crossbow heal is just to give the teams the necro "back" because it was the solo portion that sparked controversy. Im kinda neutral about it

I hope at least that if we get reviving crossbows the necromancer trait is no longer a burn trait and instead just only works once per match. New kendo skin fits my devotion to always bring a katana in protest of the spear.

For the hand crossbow, maybe a munition that revives a hunter for like 30 seconds and the get down again.

But it’s not negating the necro nerf necessarily because necro and a bolt are not the same thing. One is a burn perk you don’t need line of sight and can use on yourself. The other is ammo in your kit that you do need line of sight with and can only use on teammates.

Man, you sound really down on the bomblance, but I destroy with it. The ball bearings do more damage than most shotguns (or did, I haven't looked at the latest changes) making one hit kills more common vs shotguns, and they're almost silent which keeps you hidden and has a big psychological impact on the dead person's teammates when their buddy just died for no apparent reason. Then you have a 1HK blade that extends fairly far, and that makes mopping up hunters easy too, especially in tight buildings. These are offset by the painfully slow load time, the much slower swing time vs the katana, and the energy usage. Those last 2 can be counter-acted by stims and play style to help. Not to mention it thoroughly destroys all NPCs and bosses! Overall, I find it very well balanced, and when paired with a Mosin shorty or Centennial shorty silencer with HV ammo, one of the most versatile weapons load outs in the game.

I dont like the pumpkin hunters. I understand that this is very much regarding the personal taste. But for example do I want the military ambience when entering CoD. And after a week, they release neonbright colored skins and anime dog tags. Okay, but why dont advertise it upfront? Because they want to cash in a new customer base, no matter if the previous ones liked it.
These new skins are a step away from the previous mainly well implemented different styles of the Hunt lore. I do think it will get worse from here on out.
