@@iterationfackshet1990 It's because the original LeMat was a cap-and-ball revolver, and the "shotgun" it used was designed to fire grapeshot instead of full shotgun shells. The devs created their own version named the "Mk. II" that used proper cartridges to avoid having the reload for each round be 10 seconds long. They had to modify the loading design for both, since the original grapeshot version was a muzzle feeder. Not saying it isn't wonky as hell, though.
@@iterationfackshet1990 funny thing is, there was a modified Lemat once (during the 1960s) made for a TV western show that could be loaded like that. fitted with a break action and modified for .32 and a small calibre shotgun shell. It only fired blanks though.
Well from what I'm noticing the game is kind of dying off? I'm just seeing comments from an update video complaining how they're nerfing or taking away quick swapping. Dunno what that is tho
Yepp Yepp No it isn’t lol. The game just reached a player peak last weekend. They already patched the quickswap nerf somewhat and most people agree it’s in a good spot right now. A quickswap is when you switch to your secondary weapon right after you shoot your primary to get a quick second shot. Before the nerf you could even cancel the recoil of the weapons by doing this. They changed it a little so you can now shoot the second shot about 0.4 seconds slower, which imo makes the gameplay a little fairer (especially for new players) without nerfing the mechanic completely. It’s still very viable, especially for single shot weapons. People before actually swapped after each Winfield and Mosin shot, which doesn’t really make sense. Apologies for the essay, I just love the game and hope it will grow even further in the future.
@@gamejunkiee1 You could cancel the recoil? No wonder people used it so much. Technically speaking most of the real life counterparts to the revolvers shown didn't even use casings. But pouches with powder and shot. When it comes to classic firearms you can only get so realistic before it becomes tedious
Like many guns here it has been renamed for copyright reasons. Some weapons, like the Mosin, are either free or very cheap to use in your games. They didn't want to pay for the license to use the Ross rifle's name, so they crammed it under the Mosin umbrella. Other renamings include the Winfield (Winchester), Caldwell (Colt), Sparks (Sharps), Specter (Spencer), Bornheim (Bergmann), and Dolch (Mauser).
Guys, they already made the reloads pretty realistic. Not using the extractor rod is a small oversight compared to other games where the spent casings suddenly disappear without ejection while loading in cartridges at insane speeds and conjuring bullets out of their palms (I'm looking at you, Arthur). Even so, this is just a game, I'm surprised they even put this much detail into animations other devs would deem low on their priorities
Nagets recoil looks very slow and weird. Like they wanted recoil but they couldn't make it realistic. Also at 3:03 the chamber doesn't move and the ads recoil has a delay.
How else would you hold the 9 pistol cartridges when reloading the shotgun? Though with that said the real LeMat's shotgun was always a muzzleloader even on the version(s) that on the pistol side could take cartridges.
It's kinda wild how you have this incredible attention to detail on the reload animations, down to cartridges jiggling a bit when shifting, wiggling the bolt after an empty reload to shift the next cartridge into place, and all of the tiny mechanical parts meant to try and make this all look believable. And then you have these single-shot guns where you fire, pull back the hammer again, push it back forward during the reload, and then pull it back again at the end of the reload for some reason. Still incredible attention to detail, which just makes the odd little inconsistencies really stand out.
13:01 So what's a post-1950 version of the Auto-5 doing here? (Hint: He's not holding down the bolt release while putting shells in. You need to do that in order to load pre-1950 examples of the Auto-5)
That Mosin is not converted to use pointed/spitzer bullets from the look of the rear sight. The ones before the 91./30 use the Konovolov sight to use pointed bullets. I think this game takes place before WWI from the looks of the other guns.
As soon as I saw that rounded nose bullet I went on research spree. And have no infos over the thing. So yeah. I kinda want an answer on this situation too.
Mosin Nagant rifles didn't have the pointed bullets at the time (1895), so you should actually give props to the developers for doing their research and depicting the correct rounded tip bullet
@@Morgi185 That's interesting. I thought those were maybe Belgian rounds because I saw that in a WW1 special. That and the Belgians made the Mosin revolver for the Russian Empire.
The way reload of winfield m173 swift at 9:37 is faster than reload every single bullet. Try speed play 2x then you will see what i mean! I really want that reload style for tactical Winchester in real life. And one more thing, the bomb lance is freaking pretty sick man!
very nice touch on the reloads of bolt action rifles where if you reload on three rounds left it actually extracts the round in the chamber and then you load three rounds instead of two.
Really like the showcase. Hunt: Showdown has more realistic reloading than other games. Wish Red Dead Redemption 2 had an option for realistic reloading.
Everything about the weapons is great, except for the primer having a dent once a round is fired. The dev's add that and it would be a great detail to an already awesome gun model.
A cool detail about the lebel is that during the tactical reload your character will catch the expelled unsued bullet and put it back and contine reloading

@@darassylmoniakam Do I got news for you! They are adding the lever action shotgun next update actually.
@@killerguy334 it’s very different from the Springfield. The bolt design and action was completely different with the Krag using its own original design and the Springfield being a Mauser copy. The Springfield also had a superior magazine design since you could use stripper clips.

Dude, the manual of arms animations for the rifles are impressive. Developers took time and got each rifles unique manual with mechanical operations down pat. Ive heard so much good about this game. I might need it.
It's pretty good, I didn't buy it at first cause I thought it was another BR game but then I realized after a few sessions that it's basically a horror Monster Hunter game with PVP which I'm kind a fan of.
It’s not bat but not perfect. The DA revolver did not have the hammer animated and the bolt action rifles never showed the striker in the cocked position
Pro tip: *dont buy it*
No they didnt
@@Pattern51lover Yes they did.
I like how they purposely make the reload animation slow to fit the gameplay. It’s more of a one where you have to think carefully otherwise you’re screwed, especially against good players.
They could have made it really slow and realistic and actually used the push rods to remove spent casing from the revolvers

US Model Krag Jorgensen: "Am I joke to you?"
A great weapon for the manual of arms at the time. A time before stripper clips, and when the operator could use it like a single shot or flip the switch to feed from the magazine.
The Krag was a piece of shit. No idea why the moron Americans decided to adopt it. If they had any brains (which they obviously never did, also looking at the US today), they would have adopted the Lee-Metford or waited until around 1900 for the SMLE. As for the magazine cutoff, early Lee-Enfields all had such a feature. The piece of rubbish Krag was hardly unique for having one.

You can try this due to it being black powder. Can’t try it with smokeless
Baker Tankersley no, I’m talking about the shell being loaded into the chamber, when there was another barrel for the reload and firing of the shotgun
ToxicGaming I’m just saying it looks retarded, that’s all, especially since the muzzle loaded shotgun is still on the MKII’s model
@@iterationfackshet1990 funny thing is, there was a modified Lemat once (during the 1960s) made for a TV western show that could be loaded like that. fitted with a break action and modified for .32 and a small calibre shotgun shell. It only fired blanks though.
Just in case you wanted to know, the Bornheim No.3, the Bergmann 1896 pistol, is the gun the Mandalorian's blaster pistol was built around.

It's pretty fun, just wish the controls were smoother
I'm new to the game though btw, I bought the game a month ago and reached Tier 3 and I wasn't sure if I would like it much cause I thought it was a BR game vut then I realized sfter playing that it's a Monster Hunter PVP type of game and I love it!

6:56 I think this is pretty cool. Looks like a Hout but instead of a Ross Rifle they used a Mosin instead.
Its suppose to be the huot, idk why it's not the Actual gun itself and instead they made it into a mosin version.
The model for the Avto is actually a mosin with a gas blowback system and a barrel shroud
Remember, dying peacefully at an old age is faster than reloading
00:36 Hammer comes down before the hand reaches it
Guys, they already made the reloads pretty realistic.
Sometimes I hear shots which don't make sense, now I know why ;)
Yeah was thinking the same haha xd
Something about the Romero 77 is appealing. It’s simple, pretty, and has a fast reload.
Nagets recoil looks very slow and weird. Like they wanted recoil but they couldn't make it realistic.
Also at 3:03 the chamber doesn't move and the ads recoil has a delay.
On the last shot the hammer moved, it was probably a bug.
This is the first game ive seen where i really get a sense of how the shells are inserted and ejected. It looks like an actual system working.
14:24 I my gecko Jesus, a goat's foot spanning lever
Soooo THIS is why I hear gunshots at the very beginning of the match all the time!
Why do you load the LeMat using a loading gate if you can break it open to load a shotgun round?
You need to do that in order to load pre-1950 examples of the Auto-5)
and now I know!
Really liked & enjoyed watching this showcase.
Keep at it & stay AWESOME!
Glad you like it!

Hello ocelot

That ammo that the Mosin Nagant rifles take. It either looks Belgian or Japanese from the rounded bullet. 7.62x54R has a pointed bullet.
