Olivia White yes yes yes yes yes I uninstalled after 2 hours of falling in lava, only to do all the tedious bull shit for the fucking 20th time. Jesus Christ man.
777Lateralus Absolutely. This and the Crash Bandicoot HD trilogy need better controls. The controls don’t ruin every level in these games, but there are some levels that are just terrible due to bad controls,
Oh boy I sure do love tight corners that yeet spyro off the edge and no hover at the end of your glide so you just fall to your death complete with no save points
Some advice: Run to the first green goblin and immediately hit him with fire Second green goblin you should run against the right side of the wall and hit him with fire as soon as he turns the corner As for the gnome, just take some time to practice the layout and figure out a path. The gnome won’t hurt you so unless you fall you’re good. This is the worst level in the game period so don’t get too mad if it takes you a while. It took an hour of gut wrenching playtime for me to finally kill the boss.
Of course the final boss has to largely incude the most annoying thing in the entire game, chasing, and on narrow passages. The chasing is fun in normal levels but with this, they could've let us have a damn save point at least.
After reading the comments I feel a little better about my skills as this is a hard level with zero save points. Oy! With me luck as I try again and again!
After trying this level like 15 times I finally got it😬😄. Would have been nice if there were some checkpoints.. but I guess since it’s the last mission it at least has to be somewhat challenging.
That's not a challenge it's just level that mind fuckingly tedious and rage inducing think of it you die from one mistake just ONE!!! and then have to do the whole thing all over again literally everything and this is Remake off the original game so ask your self this why couldn't the new developers think to put a check point some where ANYWHERE would have been better
I am so outraged beyond belief. I’ve been on this bloody level for weeks and along comes the other half, watches this and does it on his second go!!! Literally no words right now !!!
@Napoleon Bonaparte You serious bro? This boss level was the most pathetic and easiest of all times. Metalhead was even more challenging lol. How do people struggle...just follow the guy nonestop. Took me two tries and i've never played spyro before x.x
Abdulla Al-Najjar for somebody who didn’t struggle you’ve certainly gone onto enough of these videos to declare how good you are at it. Why search the video if you didn’t struggle? We get it, we aren’t all as incredible and amazing at Spyro as you are, Abdulla
Natasha Morley i’m not flexing anything. Just stating the truth. I thoroughly enjoyed my time playing the game and simply wanted to see what others thought. Coming here is just mere amusement for me tbh, nothing personal 🤷🏻♂️
this level is only frustrating to me because everytime i glide spyro doesn't land on the platforms he just faceplants the edge and falls, no matter if i charge first or not he just doesn't land on them and i'm so confused as to why he doesn't

I was having this problem on an earlier level on ps4. I needed an update and I haven’t had that problem since. No matter how I jumped or glided or held down the jump button he wasn’t getting high enough to make the jump. After the system update, it was fine. Maybe check that if you’re on ps4
They should've just added the jump after glide from spyro 2 in spyro 1. I don't give a fuck about authenticity. its always better to have spin dash (and now drop dash) even if they didn't exist
That was the exact problem for me. Still, last section of course should be a bit more challenging. I would prefer the boss "fight" be more original, creative and exciting though.
things to note! gnasty gets slower with each lap! practice going a wee bit slower and try to memorize the turns so you can dash and flame him while he's on the platform. the key thieves are probably one of the worst parts of this. cut on the curves when possible. hold the dash button with your thumb and keep your finger on the flame button for a quick stop n burn. just try to get as close as you can! dpad saves on sharp turns!

Game is easy as fuck, a complete and total joyride. To the point that it’s so relaxing. I remember saying to myself “wow, I can’t believe I found this hard as a kid. I forgot what the last boss is about but since I’m older he must be a piece of cake.” Fuck was I wrong. I now remember how pissed I was playing this level as a child.
Considering what we've been through before Gnasty Gnorc... that was pretty easy to me. Just a little annoying with the chase but it ain't as bad as Tree Tops...
The last part I breezed through by luck. I didn't notice the platforms slowly sinking into the wall and doing this as a perfect run with no damage and getting the trophy included all at once was pretty frustrating.
I don't like to charge him down the stairs. Instead I jumped and flew to the lower level. I also stopped on the sharp corner of the ramp and then continued charging. Somehow this way worked well for me. Now I'm in the second part...wish me luck! 😅 Edit: I died about 3 more times and finally it lol
Here's my pro tip for those struggling with this level (I just beat it, only took about 6 tries and easy once I figured it out). Simple run like in the video, chase after him. And turn the sharp corners well. The pro tip is to JUMP in the corners, that way you don't have to stop. You just jump around the corner so you don't have to slowly turn the corner. It makes you chase him faster and you avoid falling off the platforms in the tight turns. Try jumping around corners and just overall jumping down the stairs to gain speed/momentum. This is a hard level... Makes sense since it's the final boss of the game.
My tips if anyone is still playing.. 1)cut as many corners when chasing the thieves 2) with the second thief I recommend not speed running through the open area with the purple goop. You can catch him as long as you speed run the rest of and cut corners. 3) when chasing gnasty gnorc I slow down on the first curve at 3:05. It's not worth going straight into the water and starting again. Hope it helps someone
I finally beat Gnasty Gnorc lvl!! For those struggling with the lava part at the end watch how they do it here at 3:22. I watched it a few times and studied it myself it could help you too. Note that he sprints at certain parts be4 flying to the next ledge. You're on a timer be4 the ledges go back in so you have to sprint but don't do it for every one of them. Concentrate on your flying, sprint at certain points and you'll beat the lvl too!! :)
Yeah. I was dreading that. I don’t wanna do the charge sprint while flying while trying to land on platforms. Guess I just can’t hundred percent this one
Was anyone disappointed like I was that they didn't include a cutscene between Spyro and Gnasty before they fight? Which many fans over the years have said the original game was lacking.
1st key u can flame him right in the beginning when he starts to run hit him with flame quick. (Like 0:36 but he missed lol) works 80 percent of the time. 2nd key flame him in the beginning when he cuts with all those corners (1:33) works 90 percent of the time. Hope this helps the rage a bit lol
Thank god I'm not the only one who found this final level to be the ultimate middle finger of the entire game. Whoever thought It was a good idea to not put checkpoints during the final boss can go screw themselves, especially since you need to collect two keys before you need to dash through gnorc. I might've cursed myself by playing the switch version, as spyro is barely controllable when he sprints. One slip up and you have to do the level over and over and over again. End me.
SO FREAKING ANNOYED! Had 99 lives before I began and ended at 55 lives and my switch ended up dying. I can’t get past the platforms for the lava part because if I go to fast I fall and if I do them normal I have to adjust the camera and end up missing the platform because they start sucking into the wall. literally everything else I can do just fine but then I die and since there are no checkpoints I have to go do all the crap again 🙄 honestly this is a poorly made boss because you don’t even fight him. Oh and if you go too fast when chasing him it won’t register your hit and you have to chase him all over again.
If I didn't have infinite lives maaaan I dunno where I'd be at. I finally did it after 2 days of almost smashing the controller into the tv... but it's fine
EDIT** I DID IT!!! HAHA! FFF YES! The metal chamber was LITERALLY the hardest part because it only took me two tries through lava to reach Gnorc and BLAST HIS @$$!! Skill point as a bonus!! ..... income the flight levels Original* My Gnore NEVER just stands there. The second I'm near him he runs! Even when I'm able to make the full charge around the course! I haven't even made it to the lava and I'm dreading it! 😨😰
Thanks. I'm at the first chace with him after both keys. So you have to keep up to within a certain distance. It's confusing, because he always stops at the round plate, but if you're too late he'll just jump down when you get close. This course is pretty hard and when I try to sprint the whole length, I keep falling somewhere. I figured on the first two turns going down you can jump while sprinting, skipping the turn, which is safer, but the hardest part is the first U-turn (the one after that is easy because it's walled from both sides). The second part with the platforms over lava seems actually easier.
I did this exactly as shown in the video at the last part in terms of where I jumped it glided and I’ll do it without hesitation but by the time I get to the last three platforms there’s nothing left for me to land on. I don’t understand how every time they’re all the way into the wall when I immediately start and don’t hesitate
I never would've imagined that the game intended me to chase the boss to the finish and hit him just in time before he goes for another circle, I spent 15 minutes trying to find something in level environment to stop the boss on the run. This is the worst 😣
I've been at this for MONTHS. I swear I will throw this stupid controller and tv out the window in a minute, how the heck do people get through this level??
Gosh, I suppose the only reason people play and finish such games is the fact that they feel nostalgic... Terrible Spyro handling model plus no save point, this game design really feels like 90s: making things hard just to make them hard. Crash bandicoot games say hello...
I was playing it for days, and just couldnt got through it!! I gave up and didnt play it for a while. I tried it again today and was equally frusterated!
Literally had a fuckin aneurysm playing this last level remember playing it on the PS2 and it was just as stressful 😤 still a good game nonetheless thank you for these guides ♥️
This is worst level design in the game. You have to get two key robbers at the beginning, and the main boss just runs away like a bitch until you catch him. Then, we have the basic ass lava is the floor section, with the platforms disappearing. Once you do that, you just charge him. Wow. And, if you fuck up just a bit, you have to do this poorly conceived level again. Spyro is a great game and a classic, but the final boss was disappointing and the no save point was pissing on a turd. Tree Tops and Haunted were tough because of the supercharge, but those levels were fun and challenging, prior to those. This level is just abysmal on all fronts.
I swear I needed so much patience for this, had to work on it then take a break work on it take another break till finally I finished it. Have to say that the corners really suck and having no saves was hard..but oh well I needed a challenge.
I suck at charging, so I try not to run too much on the part where you have chase him before you hit him one time. So Everytime he stands on that little platform, I'm not fast enough even while charging to hit him so that door will open.
It's interesting going back to older videos of people fighting Gnasty in the OG Spyro and almost all of the comments are complaining about how much of a joke this boss is. Meanwhile in the Reignited Trilogy, apparently this boss is giving people a lot of trouble nowadays lol
As much as people complain about this level, I think personally that Gnasty wasn’t much of a challenge, at least in comparison to Ripto and the sorceress, and that was back on the original games.
This level is cruel, no checkpoints. But you can do it guys!!! It's the last boss and level of the game. Spyro the Dragon. First Spyro game. I did it!!
I don't wanna make anybody mad when I say this, but I managed to beat Gnasty Gnorc and get the skill point on the very first attempt. I BARELY made the final platform though because I actually haven't completed this Spyro game before. This may make people feel better though. I have fallen to my death plenty of times on just the normal levels trying to reach certain dragons as well as collect the rest of the gems so the fact I got the final boss/ level in one go is like the game was telling me, "we've made you suffer from just slightly missing glides enough, here have a freebie, you've earned it". I played and completed the second Spyro game before the first game because I originally didn't own the first game as a kid. I only got to play the first few levels. Damn I must say, Ripto is a much better boss than Gnasty Gnorc. Pretty disappointing as a final boss. =/ With that said, I can completely understand why people are bothered by doing this because having no check points seems like a cheap way to make Gnasty Gnorc feel like a challenging boss when it's the level itself that is the most difficult, not the actual boss. In my opinion I think Metalhead was the more compelling boss in this game. He isn't amazing by any means but at least you don't have to chase him down like every other boss in the game. Overall I adore this game, I really do but the bosses are the weakest part to this game.
My god I just finished the game and the whole it is amazing but the last part is a SHIT. I mean, what kind of final fight is it? YOU ARE CHASING TWO RANDOM GUYS WITH KEYS, AND LATER YOU CHASE THE FINAL BOSS. come on!!! You could try a nice battle or something!!! And no saving points; seriously. Everytimw you fall you have to start all over... so disappointed with the end; seriously
Its stressing me out how much people are stressed out about it...i mean damn, imagine how hard theyd find this game if there wasnt internet or Sparx gem finder...
I’d always die on the very last part before you win the game?! 😱 That makes it so much worse! 😭 I Always come to late and the steps at the end retract and I fall into the lava :(
Once I figured how to attack the boss the rest came fairly easy and I think thats just pure luck. I had to get the keys at least 3 times and my first time around with the boss, I ran right in to him and was confused like an idiot why nothing happened. So I looked it up and found myself here. I didnt even know that there was a second level after you got him the first time but that part with the platforms was one and done. Again pure luck because treetops was an absolute nightmare.
I hate this level with every fiber of my being. I've been trying to flame him for at least an hour now on the first try and I keep falling during turns and other movements and i hate it because I have to keep doing the key parts again and again and I just want to finish the level. Who made it so that it doesn't save at all.
Whoever decided not to put a checkpoint after the first two keys should never be allowed near a video game again.
Olivia White yes yes yes yes yes
I uninstalled after 2 hours of falling in lava, only to do all the tedious bull shit for the fucking 20th time. Jesus Christ man.
Just finished this f*ckin level and I totally agree!!!
Agreed, after mastering the keys, and chasing him to the gate, that fucking lava bit made me want to scream
It’s infuriating. The controls are not tight enough for there to be no checkpoints
777Lateralus Absolutely. This and the Crash Bandicoot HD trilogy need better controls. The controls don’t ruin every level in these games, but there are some levels that are just terrible due to bad controls,
The fact there's no save points during this triggers me beyond belief..
same here. im tired of chasing these fuckers with the keys...
I’ve given up. The amount of times I’ve done it and died! I can’t believe every single time you have to go through the whole thing from scratch!!! 🤬🤬🤬
I finally got done with it. I 120% the game lol
It's not that hard.
Tobey Starburst alright Tobey were not all as amazing and incredible as you.
I agree. The fact that there is no save or check point after the first two chases really sucks.
Oh boy I sure do love tight corners that yeet spyro off the edge and no hover at the end of your glide so you just fall to your death complete with no save points
I have that same problem
Forgot I couldn't hover at the part with the platforms on the wall above the lava and literally ended up falling into the lava.
I went to game 3 and got used to hovering so when I went back I was like hitting x and nothing happened, but I finally beat it!
Playing this level showed me the meaning of a rage quit
Lol I'm on it right now, I rage quit yesterday🤣 I'm not sure if I wanna play it again today.
I FINALLY DID IT! 🥴✌
Yeah happened to me ;-;
Yeeees! Im on this now and I haaaaaate it
You rage quit at Gnasty Gnorc? Did you even play the flying levels?
This level makes me feel like a kid again. Not because it’s lovely, fun or nostalgic. But because it makes me throw a tantrum in rage!!!!! 😭
Yes but an adorable rage
This is hands down the most frustrating level in the whole game.
Tree tops was worse for me 😂
Can't do it arghhhh
Honestly think haunted towers was like 5x times as bad...
At least for 100%
@@monthydile omfg it took me forever just to land the jump and the games like but wait there's more
@@NoTrueLoveForMe I know...
The most achieving part in the first game must have been getting the scrap metal trophy.
And they expect a 7 year old to do it
Jessica Wivell they probs can lol
XD
I mean i did it just fine when i was 7
I did it while was a kid. But cant for the life of me now
When I was a kid I did it, but all these years later? Yeah right.
Some advice:
Run to the first green goblin and immediately hit him with fire
Second green goblin you should run against the right side of the wall and hit him with fire as soon as he turns the corner
As for the gnome, just take some time to practice the layout and figure out a path. The gnome won’t hurt you so unless you fall you’re good.

You don't know what pain is until you fall into the lava on the last platform of the boss level
Same man so close😠
That's what happened to me - needless to say the PS was turned off after that.
Yeah idk man ima just give up.
Bruh that happened to me and I was so devastated I deleted that save. Made a new save and it didn't happen this time!
I get stuck on the 3 Rd platform before reaching it
After so much fun I had with this game, of course the final level would be so unoriginal and annoying as hell
And I thought the flight levels were hard
The flight levels were so hard as a kid
The flight levels are my favorite ones
I first hated flight levels, but now I love them.
My controllers about to go through my TV 🤪
Sammy McClelland fucking same
Of course the final boss has to largely incude the most annoying thing in the entire game, chasing, and on narrow passages.
The chasing is fun in normal levels but with this, they could've let us have a damn save point at least.
You think thats nuts, you should look up the beta version of the original.
Gnasty Gnorc was meant to be an easy final Boss in the Original Spyro, they buffed him up a little which is annoying but a little interesting.
No...chasing sucks period
After reading the comments I feel a little better about my skills as this is a hard level with zero save points. Oy!

me too

The only reason it's frustrating is because of no save points. It takes 15 minutes for you to simply try again one more time with the platforms.
This level has made me great at catching the thieves here lol
1. Tree Tops
2. Haunted Towers
3. This Boss Level.
Wasn’t even hard, but no save point makes it 3rd (not including flight levels).

I can’t run around that one corner with the walls in the s curve chasing gnasty.. it’s too sharp
Release the dash button for just the briefest moment, turn and continue dashing. Helps a bit with sharp turns.
Or use your D-pad it definitely helps with sharper turns 😊

2nd key flame him in the beginning when he cuts with all those corners (1:33) works 90 percent of the time. Hope this helps the rage a bit lol
The amount of times i accidentally dashed off the edge isn't even funny anymore-
I'm sorry everyone else struggled with this level but I'm relieved it's not just me
Thank god I'm not the only one who found this final level to be the ultimate middle finger of the entire game.
End me.
i played this level over 50 times the MOST ANNYOING LEVEL I SWEARRRRRR!!!!!!!!!
Oh man, that level was so hard you wouldn't believe how relieved and how big my,"Finally"! Was when I finally killed Gnasty Gnorc.
I was so frustrated after starting over many times! After taking a break to regroup, I beat it on the first try. Thanks.
It's not hard, this level purely sucked because the boss was easy as fuck and I caught him so damn quick. It was laughable.
If I didn't have infinite lives maaaan I dunno where I'd be at. I finally did it after 2 days of almost smashing the controller into the tv... but it's fine
How did you get infinite lives?

EDIT**
I DID IT!!! HAHA! FFF YES! The metal chamber was LITERALLY the hardest part because it only took me two tries through lava to reach Gnorc and BLAST HIS @$$!! Skill point as a bonus!!
..... income the flight levels
Original*
My Gnore NEVER just stands there.
And it thought those flight level were frustrating but this level
I've been at this for MONTHS. I swear I will throw this stupid controller and tv out the window in a minute, how the heck do people get through this level??
Okay okay I DID IT. Wanted to share my accomplishment and tell you all that it is possible 😂
@@maddycooley3260 wish me luck I try it since 1 hour
Don't dash at all for the final part and jump at the very end of the platform spyro 1 is unforgiving at actual platforming
All of you complaining forgot how hard the flying levels were. This is a cakewalk compared to Icy Flight, lol.
Icy flight was hell
Man, I keep falling off the edge trying to catch Gnorc!!! Ahhhh.... My 99 lives are dissolving away fast!!!
The horror when I tried to be safe and take my time at the end and finally noticed all the platforms had been moving inwards at once...
Gnasty Gnorc, the strangest Spyro enemy.. He froze the dragons and stole their treasure all because he was called ugly on Dragon TV 🤣
There should be an auto save once you get the keys because I'm tired of chasing those 2 fckers out.
I'm nearly about to snap my switch in half
This is probably the most unsatisfying villain death in the entire history of gaming.
Gosh, I suppose the only reason people play and finish such games is the fact that they feel nostalgic... Terrible Spyro handling model plus no save point, this game design really feels like 90s: making things hard just to make them hard. Crash bandicoot games say hello...
Just reading the comments has put me off continuing the level lol gonna start the second game now..
I was playing it for days, and just couldnt got through it!! I gave up and didnt play it for a while. I tried it again today and was equally frusterated!
This level is INFURIATING. I got to him the first time and fell off the stupid fucking track and had to start all over and do the chase again.
If you’re playing on switch use the d-pad! I saw someone comment that and I beat it my first try!
Literally had a fuckin aneurysm playing this last level remember playing it on the PS2 and it was just as stressful 😤 still a good game nonetheless thank you for these guides ♥️
Why the hell is this frustrating? Yes the key chase sucks but Gnasty Gnorc even stops after 1 round so you don't need to be fast
Yes you do or you don't catch up to flame him on the platform. once he leaves the plat he loses his hurtbox
The only good thing about this boss is that it’s easy to collect all the gems so you never have to go through it again to 100% the game.
Thank you very much. This tutorial helped me greatly
As much as people complain about this level, I think personally that Gnasty wasn’t much of a challenge, at least in comparison to Ripto and the sorceress, and that was back on the original games.
Gnasty's Size went a bit smaller in CTRNF Honestly ,its already the same height as Komodo Moe
This level is cruel, no checkpoints. But you can do it guys!!! It's the last boss and level of the game. Spyro the Dragon. First Spyro game. I did it!!
i feel better knowing im not the only one who hated this level
I'M LOSING MY MIND THIS IS NOT EVEN FUNNY ANYMORE
Bro this level is easy as shit lmao...how do you people struggle? jesus
@@abdullaal-najjar3794 the platforms at the end should've had a save point. Bad level design
Abdulla Al-Najjar thats very disrespectful if it is so “easy” what are you doing here? Not everyone is good a videogames
You can always tell when the fakers show up on a HOW TO video saying they didn't have any trouble.
The only bad thing is if you die on this level, you have to restart it from the beginning. Got to chase the two egg keepers again chase gnasty again.
😭 I Always come to late and the steps at the end retract and I fall into the lava :(
The lava part was the most annoying part but besides that I finished it omgoodness!! 😤
THOSE FUCKING LAVA PLATAFORMS
I hate this level with every fiber of my being. I've been trying to flame him for at least an hour now on the first try and I keep falling during turns and other movements and i hate it because I have to keep doing the key parts again and again and I just want to finish the level. Who made it so that it doesn't save at all.
I didn’t realize you were on a time crunch at the end to beat the platforms 😭😭😭
