      the difference is the second one will have top spin since you are snapping over it instead of hitting it directly with your palm.

      Extending your setting forward and making flat impact sends the floater correctly, the 2nd he follows all the way through which negates the floater effect

    • @amberlynnereba
      @amberlynnereba 10 месяцев назад +21

      It’s not. With the float serve you don’t follow through with your arm like he did in the second clip. That gives spin to the ball which won’t make the serve float.

    As a volleyball player, I can actually see the difference. In volleyball, there are 2 types of jump serve. Float and top spin. To float the ball, u need to keep ur hand and palm stiff and hit the ball in the middle so it has no spin and basically goes nuts in the air. You can also compare it to a knuckle ball from soccer. So that's what he is trying to explain. Hope it helped.❤

      It’s the follow through of his arm and how his hand hits the ball. For a float you don’t want the ball to spin so you don’t follow through with your arm as much.

    • @ymiras7881
      @ymiras7881 10 месяцев назад +2

      The arm motion. In order to do a floating serve you have to not go full swing because what you want to achieve on that kind of serve is for the ball to not spin at all
