  • Anatolii Avdiievskyi (1933-2016) was a prominent Ukrainian choral conductor, composer, and educator who made a significant contribution to the development of Ukrainian choral music. He was born in the village of Vasylivka in the Cherkasy region. Avdiievskyi received his education at the Kyiv State Conservatory, where he studied under renowned teachers such as Hryhoriy Veryovka. Throughout his life, Avdiievskyi worked with many choral ensembles, including the State Academic Folk Choir named after Hryhoriy Veryovka, which he led for many years.
    Avdiievskyi was known for his innovative approaches to choral music, combining traditional Ukrainian folk motifs with modern musical techniques. His work deeply influenced the development of Ukrainian choral culture and gained international recognition. One of his most famous pieces is "Verbovaia doshchechka," which has become a classic of Ukrainian choral art.
