The Cell connection makes me wonder - can a MS Sorc extend their 7 day durations by countering their own spells? Technically, a player can already counter themselves for "reasons" in 5e, but now maybe there's a reason to want to? Just need to get past the exhaustion somehow...

"Why make a tanky subclass for a d6 class?" This sounds like my own logic when I made a Ferrous Sorcerer that has specialties involving weapon attacks.
Every other full caster class has a weapon-based subclass. Sword bard, Bladesinger wizard, Hexblade warlock...like half of all clerics. Sorcerer deserves some love too!
"counterspell isn't a spell, it's a lifestyle" is basically my whole character currently. I play an Arcanist in Pathfinder and I'm able to counterspell as an immediate action by spending a point from my pool (equivalent of a reaction. Normally in Pathfinder you need to ready your action to counterspell), and if I do so successfully I can cast that spell once in the next 24 hours. I use that to scribe a scroll and teach myself that spell. It also replenishes 1-3 points to your pool when you do so, based on spell level countered. I can do both however to counterspell twice per round. Eventually I was able to expend a point to learn the spell immediately
I just realized that Hexblade Warlock + Mirrored Soul Sorcerer is the perfect multiclass for Meliodas of the Seven Deadly Sins (his Full Counter ability), or even a decent option for Inuyasha (Backlash Wave).
This is great - I love the idea of stealing spells, something that was only on the arcane trickster before. I think, though, that stealing someone's class abilities is pretty overpowered, since spellcasting is a class ability. Save proficiencies, skill proficiencies, and tool/weapon proficiencies are interesting and strong enough imo. I love love love the concept

This is probably my favorite so far, the idea of playing Kirby or Rogue is just great. If I could change one thing, I'd try to figure out a way to let the MSS copy spells that weren't necessarily directed at them or shut down by counter spell, like specifically if the MSS sees their druid casting Polymorph, the MSS can burn some Sorcerer Points to copy Polymorph temporarily, or seeing the Cleric cast Heal Wounds would allow them to back up the healer with their own Heal Wounds without having to shut one down first. This gives you that added little extra you need to play Sasuke (or more likely Kakashi) with that Sharingan. "Any spell you can cast I can cast better." Not sure where I would put it though, maybe as an optional feature in place of the tankier crystalline skin ability.
@@alondjeckto You're thinking SSFP, Super Saiyan Full Power. And I don't know why I would have been talking about Dragon Ball here. MSS is Mirror Soul Sorcerer. The topic of the video.

Coffeelock and the spell absorbing ability would make it super easy to get high level spells to cast, as long as you can find a caster to cast them against you. At 7th level you could have as many sorcery points as you want, and spend them all on capturing spells rather than spell slots.
When I was trying to make Kirby in DnD the best I got was a "Divine Soul/War Mage/Paladin, using Counterspell and Dispell Magic from Sorcerer's list, to fuel my wizard class features in this way, and using Flame Blade with Metamagic to make other elemental blades, gave him some throwing hammers with a war hammer, darts, and other things, on top of Green Flame blade with Meta Magic and Absorb Elements for those, and more shenanigans. Almost all of your best combos come from multiclassing for a couple levels as a Sorcerer (Usually through Fighter for Action Surge, Warlock for Invocations, and Paladin for Smite), and this sub could completely cut that out at will, especially at capstone levels. It also would NOT go unnoticed that your unarmored AC is straight better than Dragon Sorc's equivalent, since Sorcs usually don't need high Dex for any other reason but need high Con for HP and concentration.

Limited sorcery points aren’t going to take you very far over multiple encounters unless of you are constantly turning spell slots into more sorcery points at which point the only thing you’ll be doing is the one thing the class is designed to do
If you normally recover from a level of exhaustion with a long rest, but mirrored soul sorcerers lose their abilities after long rests, lending your proficiencies to a sorcerer is a really bad idea.
Except level 1 exhaustion is…. Fine, honestly? Like, it’s disadvantage on skill checks, which might be important in certain situations, but in those situation just don’t borrow from the ones who will be doing the checks. The fighter might be ok with having disadvantage on those perception (and other) checks if it lets the caster action surge to cast 2 leveled spells a round.
