Hi, Autogefühl team. I don't know if you guys can make this happen, but im gonna ask any way. When you guys are showing the interior, could you put the car in a dark garage or film a small portion of the interior shot at night - to show how the interior dials and knobs light up, or don't light up, at night. Please also show reading lights and any lights along the door seals. Also please show how the exterior lights "behave". This would be greatly appreciated. I love your in-depth reviews, otherwise. Keep up the great work!!!
Thanks Thomas +Autogefühl after this review i decided to go for a Passat Alltrack, but with the analog instruments. I do think that the digital is beautiful but the price difference is not worth it in my opinion! I received last week, quite happy with it, and perfect for the conditions we have here! Again thanks Thomas always the best review!
Audi Allroad move aside, Passat Alltrack has arrived. Very striking with big wheels and higher ground clearance. Also this car isn't for offroad, but fit it with good winter tires, and it's unstoppable on winter roads...5/5
I've always loved the Passat estate and this Alltrack version looks the business ! As with all manufacturers it's always the add on items that push the price up which is a shame. The Transformer like wheels are really smart in my opinion also. The other item I liked is the sliding platform in the boot, I think this will be good especially for people who have restrictions due to disabilities or health issues depending on how much weight it can support. Thank you again for a really good review and I hope you enjoyed your seat massage! Paul.
Thanks for a great review of the Passat alltrack. I’m convinced it’s the car for me as I will be towing a horse’s box and live now in a rural are of Germany. Keep up the great reviews.👍 Vielen Dank.
Great review Thomas, I'm an interior/features addict myself, its good that finally there's a reviewer that goes through ALL the little features(integrated tow bar! that's cool) +Pros and Cons, also a reviewer not afraid to comparing similar cars like the Skoda superb in this case, thank you so much, helps me as i'm looking at my next car. subscribed... One thing though, I've read that there is a heads up display for this car? is this an option that you didn't have in your review? Keep up the great work!
Great detailed review as always. I ordered a black Alltrack 190 tdi in july without having seen much more than the broschure pictures, so its great to have you guys filming all the details for me now ;) Car looks good in reality, but the 18in Kalamata rims looks much much darker in the broschure/konfigurator. Extra plus for not showing a habanero orange one like everyone else! Intresting to hear that the chassi feels very close to the std passat. I would maybe have liked a softer, super comfortable chassi instead with the higher suspension. Anti-sportfahrwerk bitte !
Thomas - The gang of us all 'caught'' your comment about the choice of the gas versus diesel engine in the Model tested - "for the guys in the States" just as you began the 'Driving Segment'. In recognition of acknowledging your viewers comments - we all raised our glasses in a toast to you as the Outstanding Automotive Reviewer of 2015!! We absolutely enjoy each informative review!! Thanks. Nicholas
Really nice review! I have a Passat saloon B8 and there are some issues with quality that my family and I found out. For example: the armrest, that we were regulating it and a plastic came off and we saw the mechanism that were in it. Very dissapointing . Also the rear seats, which if you pass the arm beneath it you could touch the inside of the seats. You talked about the insulation, and with the diesel engine in town I think its quite loud. But at the motorway its quiet, I agree with you. Congratulations!
Please Autofgühl, read this. Every car review you make, please show fuel consumption at 100-120-140-160 km/hour. It's not hard for you to make, and I'm sure you would get more views. And ofc with the model/engine that you reviewed.
I extensively tried one in Iceland for 5 days, with much, much off-roading (on heavy snow tires), I have to say I was very positively surprised. It performed beautifully in deep snow and on ice, and was very confortable on crappy roads. I own a 17 Q7, and it made me question why paying 30K more (Q7 is obviously a better car, but not 30k euros better).
Thomas - Terrific review. Thanks for reviewing a 'gas' engine model versus diesel - here in the States diesel engines are harder to find than an honest politician. :) This VW Passat Wagon seems to be a great car based on your review. Really don't understand the VW marketing guys for not importing it over here. Same with the Skoda Brand - a car we never heard of until watching your reviews. All we have is the VW Bug and a few other 'non-memorable' VW models. Anyhow - keep the great reviews coming! Nicholas
+Nicholas Gambino yeah picked the petrol for you :) VW indeed does have problems on the US market, and it is kinda obvious that they should just adapt to the needs of the customers...
Starting the day with Autigefuhl, very nice. Congratulations for the new microphone. I like very much this Alltrack version. I would like to see how it compares with Renault Talisman estate.
Danke for the german lezione, Tomaso! I look forward to our next lesson & top notch detailed review from you. Overall look of this Passat is great in my view. A tad pricey however! The mix of manual & electric seat adjustments is a VW thing (?). My son recently bought a nice 2012 VW Golf and it has the same arrangement with the seats. Fabric interior, you'll be happy to know 😀 Btw, the fake exhaust exit openings on the Passat are very bizarre. WTF?!? I'll take classic simple dial instrumentation any day ala my 09 1er. Call me old fashioned. Ciao, amico!
+altern8ive yeah HUD is also available ... let me just check if you need the other stuff if you pick the HUD ... ah found it. Well its funny, if you pick the HUD, you have to pick the Climatronic AC and the LED head lights - for whatever reason ;-)
+Autogefühl Hi there, I am subscribed to a few channels that review cars in various segments such as your own. However I must say your channel is by far my favorite. Keep up the good work!
Very good review Thomas. I am a big fan of the new B8 platform. I personally don't like the standard alloy rims. I would go for a more prominent solid look, a minimum of 20 inch allows with the rears a bit broader then the front. It will also be lovely to review the cockpit/cabin in low light so we can see the ambient lighting etc. All in all, lovely car and lovely review. VW never fails to impress. VAG for Life!
I like the wheels, it's consistent with the technical styling of this Passat. As a whole this outback styling is totally unfitting the 'sedated highway cruiser' imagine of the Passat
This sort of styling sells well here in Canada. For example, the Subaru Outback is much more popular than the Subaru Legacy which is basically the same car, the Outback being a jacked up estate of the Legacy sedan
Watching it in 2020!!! Can you guys go back and take a look at this car again? 5 years later, as a used car. See if it holds up to what Thomas expected...
Great review, great car. I have a previous generation 2.0 tsi 210 hp passat variant and I have an average around 8 - 8.5 l ... and that is with manual transmission. So 7 liters with auto + 4 wheel drive is a nice improvement. I cant get below 7.5 no matter what I do...
+Andrej Krušič thanks! Yeah it always depends on how you drive and where ... the new engines always improve just a little bit, but it makes a bigger difference if you for example use the coasting function in eco drive mode
Another great review - filmed at Chiemsee? Appreciate you banging on about option prices and always hoping that the manufacturers could lower these option prices or offer package deals. Most of these great German cars will just be a bit average without some of the safety and convenience items.
Another lovely part of Germany. We drive from France to Bavaria every year for our family holiday. Next trip in a few weeks is to Munich with my young daughters. TGV and then ICE rather than the car this time.
+Autogefühl I will. Just subscribed. was choosing between Outback and alltrack. Loved the feel of the Outback but it felt old and engine/gearbox have no chance compared to Alltrack imho
thanks for this brilliant review! I actually find the chrome details to be more 'aluminium' (as its doesnt look like a mirror) suspension-wise I was disappointed by the B8, a Peugeot 508SW do better. but equipment and engine-wise I'm all VVW.
Very convincing car, the new Passat. Judging from your review, it has the qualities to back up the price and set itself way above the competition. It would be very interesting to see how the new Renault Talisman stacks up to VW. Seems like the French have really tried to make a worthy competitor to the Passat. In my opinion the estate version of the Talisman is especially good looking.
Awesome review with all those details, thank you! :) I'm thinking about getting the Alltrack diesel 190hp DSG, do you know the real average consumption for it? Or maybe someone here who drives it daily can tell me? :) Keep up the good work Thomas!
Check out +deadkempers reply below. It wasn't there when you posted, but he states 48 MPG for what I'm assuming is mostly freeway. :) Your consumption varies greatly depending on which road type you do the majority of driving on; city is the worst, highway speed will usually also reduce the overall MPG (over 90 km/h / 55 MPH) and country road driving (70-90 km/h) is typically where you get the best consumption, which can be significantly better. So it's a bit hard to compare to +deadkempers, but atleast it's a starting point for you :)
Bought it today, a 190 dsg in black with 4k on the clock. Got 48 mpg on the 150 mile trip home, very impressed..It's also very refined and handles better than a 2wd on bad roads for sure....Couldn't be happier, thanks for the review
Hey Thomas, Can you talk about how your right knee feels when sitting. I stuck a black pad on my '15 Sportwagen because it was hard plastic there on mine making my knee a bit sore. Seems like an important detail that automakers miss regularly. Cheers and you do the best reviews!
What a sharp looking, high tech Euro style Passat. Very premium. Especially in the All Track option. Such a shame that VW decided to run with a very different Passat in the States. Almost embarrassing just how bad and outdated the U.S. Passat is by comparison. Considering what might have / should have been. Thank God VW didn't make a similar mistake with the MK7 Golf and its many variations.
thanks for the thorough and funny review. nice job! is there Apple CarPlay in this car already? how does the 4Motion work as compared to an Audi quattro drive?
Update: i drive many varied miles a year ( 30k nearly ) and i kept my alltrack 190dsg for about a year: good things: utterly classy car, had many admiring views : great mpg 55 average : very practical : reliable , no issues at all: very rare in the UK hardly anyone has one : packed full of spec , although mine had 10k of extras: Bad points: Just one, which was annoying, the steering wheel is very uncomfortable on long journeys as it's almost pointed, so you end up adjusting your driving position to get into a half comfy driving position.. The reason why i sold it, to be honest, hard to drive with your pinky . It's quite slow for 190hp , I guess the 4wd weighs it down.
A great review as ever. But, why oh why the fake exhaust?! Did you notice how make things are now "fake" the exhaust tips, the crome etc. Can we make the idustry sell us real stuff if even not so nicely design. What is your point on this Thomas?
Thomas, I cannot understand why you do not like the electric park brake (handbrake). On my Mk 7 Golf, I never have to apply the handbrake or ever have to take it off, because it is all done qutomatically. You brake and the handbrake (and hill hold assist) is applied. You accelerate and the handbrake is taken off automatically. I believe that it is the best handbrake on the market. I could never go back to the original (stone age) handbrake. : )
This would see in America. Look at the Outback sales numbers! I think with a few exterior colors, only one interior color (charcoal grey) fabric seats with 12 way power seats and the 2.0 TSI engine. If available, I'd buy this over the GTI. It is very easy to line with every day, lots of rear seat room and cargo space.
+gbriank1 You really think so? Volkswagen has the strategy not to put the wagons to the US ... everyone always says US ppl wouldnt buy station wagons. Not so sure about that if they arent offered. I also think this one would sell well in the US. However, they havent even introduced the B8 Passat so that step has to come first. They really need to hurry with the US market.
+Autogefühl I think so. Just as long as it isn't portrayed as a wagon and an on-road vehicle. Subaru has this down to an art. The interiors are utilitarian but with a high quality look. They are shown doing off-road things in commercials. VW could portray the B8 as more upscale but still holding to it's off-road roots, very much like the XC70 Cross Country Volvo. I agree with the need of haste. VW is losing market share. The American Passat and Jetta aren't selling as well as they were. These two cars are their volume sellers with profit to match, but need some updates to make them stand out from the Japanese. Rather than try to make their cars more Japanese like, they need to focus on them driving more like a traditional German car. Reliability needs to come up as well.
We are thinking about VW Passat Alltrack, we were going to buy V90 4x4 but he costs about 10-14.000 euros more. How is the BiTurbo compared to the 190hp? Anyone here have a comparison? They have not imported BiTurbo for the Alltrack here in Iceland only the mid Diesel engine.
Thomas please review the Subaru Outback! We're thinking of getting one and the Alltrack is the only other alternate option. In New Zealand to option up the Alltrack to meet (if possible) the spec of the Outback these options must be added: - Driver's knee airbag, side airbags & seat belt tensioner in rear (Naughty VW!! Should be standard.) +$750 - Keyless Access + Electric tailgate +$1,500 - Driver Assist package +2,500 - All petrol Outback models in NZ have Eyesight - ergoComfort 14 way seats with massage +$2,500. Stock they come with this stupid semi-electric seats - electric backrest & lumbar but manual everything else, for passenger side lumbar is manual too. - Panoramic sunroof +$2,500 We'll skip the sunroof and we know we are getting the airbags for free if we finance through them. Opinion?
+Zachary Ong hey Zach! Hmm... did you see out Subaru Levorg review? Are Levorg and Outback quite similar or totally different? ruclips.net/video/c4orHfTNOxA/видео.html What is the total price difference for Passat vs Outback for you?
+Autogefühl the price difference is around $4,500 in reality. And the Levorg is very different - I think the only thing they share is an AWD system and then the infotainment system.
+Zachary Ong I see. Cant get the Outback very fast as our schedule is already packed. Imho, the Passat especially as the Alltrack version is really kick-ass, I think it is very hard to beat the overall driving experience
We have only a few months to go (paying off car) before we go out and get one, so do you think you could do one in the first half of the year? I really like the whole package the Outback gives and this looks to give the same package. Could I email you more about the cars and the pros and cons I have for them? Thanks so much for your videos!
I wonder if the digital speedometer is also accurate, usually VW analog ones are about 8 km/h from the actual speed for example if you drive 108 is actually 100...
i can`t understand why vw puts the navi screen sow low. it must be as high up as it gets dew to safety. the little clock is not important. (its not a iwc or breitling) so vw can move the clock lower or just take it out of the car.
+Lukas Praml Both very powerful engines. The petrol one is more explosive, the Diesel more saving... and only explosive after the turbo sets in ... thats the easiest way you can describe.
do you think the 280 will ever appear in the alltrack? of course i drive 98% of alle time on the autobahn and landstrasse - so allttrack with 240 oder highline with 280 - what would be your choice? (40k km per year, daily commute...)
Passat wagon does not come to NA Therefor, Passat allroad doesn't come to NA 240hp diesel engine doesn't come to NA Euro VW Passat does not come to NA (We get a dumbed down Passat) Nice seeing it though. Nice review. No animal skins, good. Chrome caps on the mirrors, good. Wheels kind of not so good, 3000 Euro to get navi and TFT gauges really not so good. Fake exhaust tips, really really not so good. ;)
Not sure what this has to do with a VW Passat but I'll bite. Canada has very strict gun control and our constitution recognizes group rights and individual rights. (we don't have the curse of a 2nd amendment). Allowing access to guns puts our whole society at risk. As such, we give priority to society's right to safety over the right of individuals to own guns. Something Americans can't quite comprehend. Besides, most people don't care to own a gun here in Canada. We'd rather put our money into accessible schooling and public health system. Clearly you need a lesson in political geography and basic constitutional law.
+kevin n That's nice, but it's not as if the US spends more on guns than they do healthcare or schooling, they spend quite a bit of tax dollars on healthcare and schooling, far more than they do on guns. In fact, nearly $2.5 trillion USD last year, which is more than the entire 2013 Canadian GDP. Mind you, that is on top of private sector spending. Also, Canada is one of the 15 nations with the most guns per capita with there being one gun for every three people in Canada. So you're right, you and most other Canadians don't care about guns, but one of your neighbours to your left or right cares more than you might know.
+Xplosion51 Actually, there's plenty of gun control in NA, a continent with 23 nations, and virtually all of them have some sort of rules for gun ownership. Is there a point you're trying to make?
+Autogefühl Yes, but I thought that maybe there was a wheel below that compartment ... :-) I guess not :-( The normal Passat actually has a wheel, so why not the Alltrack
+freguz Checked the price list again. The solution is: It is an optional feature. Depending on the wheel you want, pay 300 to 600 Euros extra to get a spare wheel.
Why are you calling aluminium for chrome? It's aluminium style, aluminium paint and aluminium mirror cover, not chrome. It's not supposed to look like chrome.
Please save me from my dumb American brothers and sisters who insist on tall, overweight, inefficient, poor handling SUVs because inexplicably they think they are "cool". They have killed the wagon in the US and stolen from those of us who think before they buy a car, a vastly superior vehicle compared to the SUV. Please give me a spacious, great handling, fuel efficient, clean styled wagon like the Passat!
buckeye001 yup, after owning a gen1 Volvo XC V70, B5 S4 Avant, I'm now 'forced' to drive a Subaru Outback here in the USA. This B8 Passat Alltrack would be my go-to car, w bi-TDI. I have a B7 USA spec Passat TDI. Very familiar with #dieselgate.
Speedometer is on some matrix - its bad for eyes, I will never buy a car with matrix displays. I have a problems with eyes already and I dont want to expand them, only mechanical speedometers. Less electronics - better car, but its can have some secondary electronics
Don't really like it a compared to a Subaru Outback, mainly coz off road is a major consideration for me. I love the design though, especially the front, and that interior space + design is slaying.
If you drive alot offroad/on bad roads Outback is def a better choise. But in normal conditions Alltrack is the way to go. I really liked the Outback, but didn't enjoy the gearbox/engine
+RedEyeMS3 yeah, I'm beginning to see that. Other option is to get both a town car for those days I'm at home, and an off roader as I really do love a low sitting town vehicle.
Hi, Autogefühl team. I don't know if you guys can make this happen, but im gonna ask any way. +Daniel Kabat Thank you Daniel. We hope that you also like our other productions :)
One of the best car reviews I've seen yet.
I've not long ago brought the Diesel Alltrack Wolfsburg and totally loving it.
Thanks please recommend 🤗

Excellent review Thomas, I particularly liked the interior of the car as well as its exterior colour.
Keep up the work!
+Varun Kumar Thanks buddy!
Really nice AWD estate! It will be cool to see comparison offroad video with Alltrack, V60 CC, A4 Allroad and Outback!
Very nice review Thomas. can't wait till it reach Australia :D

+Dragos Teodor Bran thanks! Going to take a first look at the Talisman at the IAA motor show
great review, thank you for uploading!
+Leskylor thanks for watching!
Really love the exterior color, even if it's not "Thomas blue" :) Interior is also nice. And the trunk is so huge !! Nice review as always.
+ced5960 and the engine sounds good

+Mario Dalla Riva haha great that you ve directly seen it =) Fake exhaust is the same with new Mercedes C-Class btw. Seems to be a trend now. Ciao!
All respect for VW for making that 2.0T available for the passat. Sth to consider here in North America after the GTI and GLI
i would have that navigation option but with a head up display over a virtual cockpit every time. thanks for the upload
+altern8ive Keep saying it[we agree totally] and hopefully VW/Audi etc will wake up so we will look ahead...

Seat massage features should be standard in all cars. . . and I think there should be an option for the GPS voice to be done by Thomas !
Great review to an awesome car. Faved video!

+blocksterz Thanks! Yeah indeed not quite cheap...
Very good review - I have ordered this one as the next company car for our photo studio.

Gutes, Informatives Video. Englischer Satzbau könnte besser sein, aber du gibst dir Mühe und das merkt man. Daumen hoch.

Another great review - filmed at Chiemsee? Appreciate you banging on about option prices and always hoping that the manufacturers could lower these option prices or offer package deals. Most of these great German cars will just be a bit average without some of the safety and convenience items.
close - starnberger see :)
Another lovely part of Germany. We drive from France to Bavaria every year for our family holiday. Next trip in a few weeks is to Munich with my young daughters. TGV and then ICE rather than the car this time.
nice :)
Love your videos. Im waiting for a white 190TDI, takes a few months before it will be build. Going to be awesome here in sweden during winter
+RedEyeMS3 thanks, keep watching us !
+Autogefühl I will. Just subscribed. was choosing between Outback and alltrack. Loved the feel of the Outback but it felt old and engine/gearbox have no chance compared to Alltrack imho
+RedEyeMS3 great! Did you already watch our Outback review?
+Autogefühl yes, watched both videos before I tested them my self.
Hello Thomas, keep up good job 73's
thanks for this brilliant review!
I actually find the chrome details to be more 'aluminium' (as its doesnt look like a mirror)
suspension-wise I was disappointed by the B8, a Peugeot 508SW do better.
but equipment and engine-wise I'm all VVW.
+sebxx thanks for the feedback!
+Povilas Svedas Indeed. We ll take a first look at the Talisman at the IAA motor show coming up in 2 weeks!
lovely car!
nice wheels!
great review!
have you made a review of Golf alltrack? would love to see that 😊
+Jim Dollar Thanks! Not yet, but we can try to arrange that
Thank You,
I like Your reviews. Good job!
p.s. please make golf alltrack review
+Algirdas Dranseika oh another inquiry for Golf Alltrack - seems you really want this, guys! we ll do
+Autogefühl
Glad about it and awaiting impatiently!

Now after watching this i have changed my mind about the cherokee Thomas..going to have a look at a decent price 190 dsg on Friday
+deadkemper keep us informed!
Bought it today, a 190 dsg in black with 4k on the clock. Got 48 mpg on the 150 mile trip home, very impressed..It's also very refined and handles better than a 2wd on bad roads for sure....Couldn't be happier, thanks for the review
Hey Thomas,
Can you talk about how your right knee feels when sitting.
+Ben Kurth exactly. Passat B8 should be coming up soon anyhow for you, but I think just the sedan
this car looks great..
Thank you for this video
Wow i think the exterior looks so much better this way than the regular ones.
Shame it's out of my budget :) :) :)
would you buy some used b7 or b8? b7 costs 50% of this b8 but has 150k on clock... years old great shape...
or b8 20k on clock 2 years
thanks for the thorough and funny review. nice job!
is there Apple CarPlay in this car already?
how does the 4Motion work as compared to an Audi quattro drive?
Why not available in Canada? We have snow 8 months of the year!
+john fenton so true
Buy a Volvo!
Update: i drive many varied miles a year ( 30k nearly ) and i kept my alltrack 190dsg for about a year:
good things: utterly classy car, had many admiring views : great mpg 55 average : very practical : reliable , no issues at all: very rare in the UK hardly anyone has one : packed full of spec , although mine had 10k of extras:
Bad points: Just one, which was annoying, the steering wheel is very uncomfortable on long journeys as it's almost pointed, so you end up adjusting your driving position to get into a half comfy driving position..
What is your point on this Thomas?
thanks! Yeah fake exhaust all over the place those days
: )
+OldVillain yeah it does have advantages. But I feel like it is good to have something manual to hold on ... just in case :)
+Autogefühl Try the steering wheel!
: D
What is the best ?
Alltrack or A4 allroad?
Beautyfull !!
+Hannes Þórisson testing v90 soon. Its a segment above the passat though
Thomas please review the Subaru Outback! We're thinking of getting one and the Alltrack is the only other alternate option. In New Zealand to option up the Alltrack to meet (if possible) the spec of the Outback these options must be added:
- Driver's knee airbag, side airbags & seat belt tensioner in rear (Naughty VW!! Should be standard.) +$750
- Keyless Access + Electric tailgate +$1,500
- Driver Assist package +2,500 - All petrol Outback models in NZ have Eyesight
- ergoComfort 14 way seats with massage +$2,500. Stock they come with this stupid semi-electric seats - electric backrest & lumbar but manual everything else, for passenger side lumbar is manual too.
- Panoramic sunroof +$2,500
We'll skip the sunroof and we know we are getting the airbags for free if we finance through them. Opinion?
+Zachary Ong hey Zach! Hmm... did you see out Subaru Levorg review? Are Levorg and Outback quite similar or totally different? ruclips.net/video/c4orHfTNOxA/видео.html
What is the total price difference for Passat vs Outback for you?
+Zachary Ong Sure feel free. Wasnt part of the plan to order an Outback quite soon, but for you, I ll try to do it :) Keeping you updated.
I wonder if the digital speedometer is also accurate, usually VW analog ones are about 8 km/h from the actual speed for example if you drive 108 is actually 100...
+Kobbetop Every manufacturer 'preloads' the speedometer, just to be sure. That keeps you save with law stuff etc
Nice review:) i don't understand how in 2015 and at this price, they still have manual seats and not full automatic ones...?!!?
+Aioanei Teofil yeah i was surprised by that mix as well
I'm with you man. Who did that?
The fake exhausts always make me smile ;-)
+Nan Wang =)
Yea, I don’t understand the purpose of them. They look pathetic aren’t cheaper to make, no benefits at all
Thomas, what do you think about the Volvo XC70?
Nice vehicle! Seeme thats the V90 cross country now
i can`t understand why vw puts the navi screen sow low. it must be as high up as it gets dew to safety. the little clock is not important. (its not a iwc or breitling) so vw can move the clock lower or just take it out of the car.
The Passats exterior design is really cool, but after the dieselscandal...
Sorry, i just don't trust VW anymore.
But the review was good my freind :)
+Liquid Chrome appreciated !
did you ever drive the 280ps version? how is it compared to the 240ps diesel?
+Lukas Praml Both very powerful engines. The petrol one is more explosive, the Diesel more saving... and only explosive after the turbo sets in ... thats the easiest way you can describe.
do you think the 280 will ever appear in the alltrack? of course i drive 98% of alle time on the autobahn and landstrasse - so allttrack with 240 oder highline with 280 - what would be your choice? (40k km per year, daily commute...)
Does this have air-suspension like the Audi Allroad?
+Steve Osyka no but its still good
does anybody know the name of the piano song (@7'40'')?
is this coming to the US?
+Matt Delmonico No, at least not in a very long time :/
What about petrol engine fuel consumption? Real consumption not in tech data?
+Alex Roost calculate with about 9 l / 100 km
+Autogefühl is it average or urban?
+Alex Roost Average. Thats what I usually score with the bigger VW petrol engines
+Autogefühl just urban goes even a little higher
Passat wagon does not come to NA
Therefor, Passat allroad doesn't come to NA
240hp diesel engine doesn't come to NA
Euro VW Passat does not come to NA (We get a dumbed down Passat)
Nice seeing it though.
+kevin n
That's nice, but it's not as if the US spends more on guns than they do healthcare or schooling, they spend quite a bit of tax dollars on healthcare and schooling, far more than they do on guns.
+kevin n Good points yeah. Lets just hope they will put the B8 passat over the pond at some time
+Xplosion51 Most NA nations have gun control laws.
I did not get it, is there a spare wheel or not? I think an offroader must have a real wheel, at least a tiny emergency version.
Repair kit.
+freguz Indeed as Richard says, I think i ve shoon it while opening the trunk, check that section
Less electronics - better car, but its can have some secondary electronics
optional, you can always go with the standard gauges
***** yeah, I know about optional. I think car producing companies needs to worry about driver health more and more attentively
NO HD!!!!!!!!!
WAIT!!!
i have it
+bcop1534 that can sometimes happen when the upload is very fresh
renault talisman is better and more beautiful car
Incredibly ugly wheels, doesn't fit the car at all.
Yes. It was the bad choice
+tsint put new ones on job finished
+tsint They look incredible.
disagree
Don't really like it a compared to a Subaru Outback, mainly coz off road is a major consideration for me. I love the design though, especially the front, and that interior space + design is slaying.
If you drive alot offroad/on bad roads Outback is def a better choise. But in normal conditions Alltrack is the way to go. I really liked the Outback, but didn't enjoy the gearbox/engine
+RedEyeMS3 yeah, I'm beginning to see that. Other option is to get both a town car for those days I'm at home, and an off roader as I really do love a low sitting town vehicle.
