Ah yes, nostalgia. I remember listening to this hundreds of years ago. It really got me through some hard times, like when 1/3 of my family died from the plague.
Yeah, because it's like classical music and classical music is much better. It does still have some modern elements in the piece which make sound it worse, such as chromatic modulation which is unnatural and fade out used as the ending instead of a perfect cadence.
I remember this track list when I served the king Edward at Poitiers campaign in 1356. We collected so many French ears and noses it was becoming ridiculous.
(read with music and when high) Imagine : Riding on your horse in shining armor through villages and cities in between forests and open fields on a pebblestone road and passing through large towering cathedrals and medieval buildings, seeing the faces of different peasants, knights, nobility, and scholars, smelling the fresh air and tree groves of the forests and apples in the marketplaces, walking in the marketplaces full of different produce, meats and artesinal crafts, being greeted by different people or greeting different people, no technology to inclose you in your home, no fast food or junk food, no cars just pure labor and fresh all locally made food, then you arrive at the front of the king's castle, the large and majestic towering castle which towers the highest of all buildings of the city, the castle is well fortified, luxuriously ornamented and well guarded by well armoured knights, there is a long and pretty royalty red rug that extends all the way to the throne of the king, you walk on this rug's path seeing all the royal ornamentation and furnitures which many are of gold and marble, the guards seeketh the king's permission to let you pass and it is granted and you get the chance to speak to the king of the kingdom of which you reside in, you bow in allegiance and in respect of royalty, a jester is standing not far from you and the king's court is also right in front of you at the king's side
Played this today in class as my hyper active students were doing a task on medieval times and it totally calmed them...and was great for inspiration...putting them in that moment in time. Thank you!
For some reason I really wanna be a Medieval villager. I love the beauty of that time when you wake up to the fresh air and amazing view of a castle it makes me happy.
Man i remember hearing this beautiful music back in 1200. I was a Jester back then. Me and my fellow Jester friends and family traveled from village to village to make people laugh and be happy. Those were the good times before the black death came. But we Jesters survived the plague and continued to make people happy and laugh. 🃏
I'm only a septuagenarian, so my memory doesn't go back that far. Thank goodness for you and the others who are sharing their life experiences from back then. The world desperately needs dreamers and entertainers. Now, if only you could do something about that dreadful King John. Someone needs to teach him a lesson and take away some of his powers. Moving ahead a couple of hundred years, King Henry VII needs to have someone stop him in his tracks. Nasty little man!
Ouço quase todos os dias, inclusive quando estou estudando. Ótima seleção! Parece que eu me transporto automaticamente para essa época, bebendo uma cerveja em uma taverna.
I can't get how you write music about everything I love! Elves, Ireland, fairs, taverns, minstrels, travellers, knights, Lady of the Lake, little villages, forest huts, monasteries... Just everything. Thank you so much!
I think the thing is people like the style ( Under the assumption that this is similar I'm not sure ) and/or the instruments. Personally I really like instruments like the lute harp old styles of drums bagpipes and other instruments from those times and before. As well as that I rarely like raps that I hear and I'm not the biggest fan of hiphop or heavy metal, there are some more modern ( I think ) music genres I really like though. Like Rock and Roll. And no not those electric guitars and loud drumsets ect, that's heavy metal, let me show comparisons. Rock and Roll is Elvis, Heavy Metal is Kiss. You got that? Edit: You got that idiots adults and idiot teenagers and teenagers and idiot kids?
In medieval times, i could not have lived to the age I am now, but your music makes me feel young again. Since I am of English heritage, I now find myself in Sherwood Forest. Disguised as a man and sitting around a campfire, I'm enthralled to hear tales told by Robin and his merry crew. Your music is wonderful!
+Toten Kommando Life expectancy was very low in the medieval era, dieing in your 30s and 40s would be common. Yes, disease and war still exists but the difference in our medical care now compared to what it was in the medieval era is night and day.
+ElementalPride Life expectancy AT BIRTH was short, because 50% of babies died before reaching the age of 1. If you survived that and lived to become 10 years old, however, you had a very great chance to live until 50 or 60.
+Toten Kommando I'm not familiar with him, but yeah, nothing unusual. Especially in urbanized regions like the Low Countries or northern Italy; or economic blooming regions, life expectancy could be quite 'high' for people of the lower classes as well. Parish records are a good source to research births and deaths in a town!
+Toten Kommando Yes, that is one King who lived exceptionally long, but you're cherry picking. Gwladys, Princess of Wales, died at 45. Roger Mortimer, died at 51. Eve Marshall, died at 43. Dafydd ap Llwelyn, Prince of Wales, died at 42. Maud de Fiennes, died at 42. These are *royalty and upper class citizens* with superior health care and living conditions. The life expectancy during the medieval era was much lower than it was today, this is documented fact. The mean life expectancy of kings in Scotland and England from 1000 A.D to 1600 A.D was 48-51 years old, and during this era this would have been a fairly optimistic life expectancy for the average person.
Fireman Great Sorry for not answering for a long time. My novel's title is "The burning armies" . When i finish it , I will upload it on google play , but I am greek and I write it on greek language.
I'm sitting in a secluded corner of a dark inn&tavern. my light is a candle, burning low. Before me is a messy pile of parchment, a quill & a blotter. Some pages are filled with words of my next tale, others are still blank - it seems that I've dripped some ink on one accidentally. Too much ale - my tankard's now empty, but I shout for the help to bring me another. The bowl of stew at my table has grown cold and the bread is a bit stale. The air is rank with moisture and the smells of the other patrons - pipe smoke, stale alcohol, filth. Still, I lean back in my chair and sigh - at least I'm not outside in the dark and the freezing rain.
+K.D.Bryson I can almost visualise the scene, a perfect description. I would most certainly enjoy reading your tales, for there is color and feeling in your words - a trait not so common these days, I hope you realise that. May the Muse continue to illuminate your writing, like your writing has illuminated me. A wish you a most wonderful day. :)
Stefan Todorovic Thank you so very much! That is honestly the best & most eloquent compliment I've ever received. You've just brightened my evening & now I definitely feel motivated to get back to writing. Again, Thank you so much! May you have a wonderful day/evening as well. :-)

Yeah, because it's like classical music and classical music is much better. It does still have some modern elements in the piece which make sound it worse, such as chromatic modulation which is unnatural and fade out used as the ending instead of a perfect cadence.

So True!!!!!!!
***** I know but what I mean is it sounds medieval
Cenex Winter well, this technically is today's music
This is modern music though
There’s something deeply healing about this music. Every note feels like it’s touching my soul. 🌿🌠 Wishing peace to everyone listening.

I decided. I will write a novel ! This music inspires me!

@Mr Sir - Here's a help: The evil...
