What a brilliant video, I’ve got through so many probes… I was storing it in the KCL solution 😮! I’m not good with reading instructions so this video makes everything clear and concise. Much appreciated. Easily the best pen on the market at this price range. Could I ask what is best to store the probe in (water droplets) should they be tap water or deionised water? Auto hold is very useful also. Didn’t know it had it. 👍🏼 just as I thought I had mastered it the the ec meter has started reading 0 for no reason. It’s a new pen. Followed the instruction to the T not having a lot of luck.
Thank you very much for your feedback! Tap water for water droplets is fine, but if you have distilled water or deionized water on hand, it'd be even better as they are much cleaner.
@@aperainst perfect yes I have deionised water, any ideas I could try as the ec meter just reads zero. I did leave it in storage solutions for 12 hours. Could that have damaged it.
It is not a must to calibrate when it's brand new. But you can always check the accuracy by testing in the pH 7 and pH 4 standard buffer solution. If the reading error is within your requirement, then you don't have to calibrate the meter yet. As a rule of thumb, we'd recommend calibrating the meter at least once a month.
As long as the solutions are not contaminated or expired, pH 4 and pH 7 can be used for up to 10 times calibration; all the others can be used for up to 5 times. And it's always a good practice to use fresh standard solutions for achieve maximum accuracy.
I have a problem with my Apera PC60 meter. When I set it to conductivity units, it jumps from 1.600 to 2.5 without showing readings like 1.700 or 1.800. It only jumps from one to the other. What could be happening?

No. You should be fine.@@elliottdebell7783
great video but how often do you need to calibrate the meter ? and do you need to calibrate it when it's brand new ? thanks

What is the use of 3 M KCL Solution and how to use it kindly share a video on it to
Yes we will update the tutorial shortly.
Pls take a look at 10:09.
Great info, just got a PC60 and looking forward to using it. I am wondering if the calibration solution can be reused, or is it one and done?
