I am new to watercolour & I've been looking for sensible, easy to understand yet serious watercolour & guoache tutorials. Now I have found one. You make the process understandable by explaining the reason behind your brushstrokes. Thankyou for sharing.
It's a very beautiful and very nice art! I am very happy that you shared this art! I'm very good at it so I'm looking forward to your video. I thought it was very nice. I'm rooting for you.
I used to use gouache to repair my surface if I had messed up a layer of watercolor or went to dark with a glaze. I have since graduated to watercolor ground to go back to white and create a "new" surface to paint on! Your technique looks to be much more advanced and creates a more cohesive image as well! I guess it makes a difference when you plan to use the gouache instead of considering it a remedy for fixing a "mistake"! Thank you for showing all of us that we can mix watercolor and gouache to create wonderful imagery! Keep creating these fantastic videos and please stay safe during this holiday season.
I’ve never come across the eye dropper tool. This is a marvelous revelation. I find it hard to identify which colors to use. I must investigate this more. Your fruit is fantastic, thank you!
I always love ❤ your tutorials! I really appreciate your videos as a beginner in watercolour and gauche I am even more excited to create because of these very detailed lessons! Precious 🎨🎄 Merry Christmas 🎅
Absolutely marvellous channel. Glad I found you! I have a q uestion, please: how do you glaze wet on wet? Do you use a spraybottle and lay a fine mist of water or do you use a soft wet brush over the previously dried layers? Thank you very much! :)
I love the charts you make, of what colors you see. I have such a hard time seeing colors that “aren’t there,” for instance the light pink highlights lights in stead of just white paint. I love that, gives it extra life or pop. Gotta practice the color charts!
Thank you! If you are struggling with seeing colours then you could try increasing the saturation of the colours in your reference photo.. this sometimes helps 😊
Thank you Anna! I mostly use the silver black velvet brushes for the watercolour part but I also used a couple of flat brushes this time as well- details of these and brush sizes in the description box below the video. Have a good weekend 😊
Excellent video. Thank you
You are very welcome!
Thanks for the tips, I’m going to try the tinting. Beautiful work!

The eye dropper tip was such a brilliant idea. Such a great exercise for someone like myself who works mainly in monochrome.
Love that you mixed both mediums. I need to use my gouache paints more. Turned out lovely :)
Thank you! 😊 I don't tend to use my gouache paints much either but I really enjoyed combining it with the watercolours 🤗🍊

I've tried acrylic gouache and I love it! I absolutely recommend it.
This is gorgeous. I want to learn how to do this, not only with paint, but also with alcohol markers and coloured pencils. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you! I'd like to try alcohol markers and coloured pencils too! 😊
This is so interesting. I have big trouble distinguishing colours when I look at reference photos.

Hi Eric! Thank you for your question- the tape I used was MT brand of washi tape. Hope this helps 😊
