The thing with sandeep reddy vanga is that he is a hell of a director and maybe he should collaborate with some writers, so he can control his macho ideas a bit and concentrate on actual emotions (for an example the last scene with his father was awesome ) and actual toxic traits that people can have, if we see in pudhupettai danush's caracter goes through lots of stages, from good to bad, from a student to one of the biggest goons, and we see the evolution of him in that movie, he becomes bad because of the situation that he is confronted to and he regrets it at the end after he started loosing everything and he asks forgivness to his kid,(it can be viewed as his asking forgivness to god too because since he regretted his acts, his life got better and we still root for him when he goes to the villain's house to kill him, coz we saw why he became like that, in animal we get sick of 3h15mins length because there are soooooooo many unecessary scenes that are not doing justice to the movie, that love song in the beginning with those flight scenes, who cares? The whole arc with that affair, why?? The scene in the kitchen with rashmika and when he asks her to remove her top because he wants to feel her, romance ah? And lots of other stuff, that could have been replaced with other interesting stuff like the story of b.deol's caracter, but we have to go through probably 1h30 of free macho, mysoginistic, and out of the pocket scenes to see the potential that this movie could have had, good music, acting is top tier apart from 1 person, the cinematography is class, action scenes are enjoyable, but it fails in making it into a classic,
People are appreciating bland scenes of showing the protagonist his "inner demons"😂while there were movies like NGK, pudhupettai, uyiree..., raavanan, or even iruvar that showed the flaws of their protagonist with nuance and great scenes,
i'm not saying that directors should stop portraying grey or even an full on full evil caracters but atleast protait it in a interesting way, keep posting vids and shortfilms bro all the best for you and your friends. One day you'll make it.🙌🏽

I didn't care about messaging or philosophy of movie initially. But movie was still cringe for me. Director tried to make the protogonist emotionally connect with audience by 'appa paasam' while still portraying him as badass (something similar to KGF). But the difference is KGF had a good character arc and writing, but this one doesn't. At the same time, there are less scenes for Anil Kapoor unlike Marlon Brando of Godfather so that audience has a limited impression of Balbir unlike Ranvijay.
Kabir Singh was a good movie because it was well written. Animal just has good making, performances and music, that's it. But too many logical inconsistencies in character building. At the same time, it's not at all comparable to any dark genre movies. Not even to Sacha Baron Cohen's 'The Dictator' 😂😂
