Slayer by name , has a reputation. One of the coolest things I ever saw was at a slayer concert. There was a kid in a wheelchair, standing room only, and the fans lifted the kid wheelchair and all and brought him all the way to the front. TWICE! I hope that young had the time of his life! SLAYER

Nuclear Blast is a label founded in 1987. However, many old school legends are with that label. They really seem to let bands do whatever they want artistically which is awesome!

This album released in late september 2015. So It's decently new. My personal favourite's off of this album are this, delusions of saviour, and when the stillness comes.

Great reaction guys yet again! To repent is free of religion altogether, it's really just about knowing that you've done wrong and are feeling bad or remorseful about it and expressing it sincerely, any action that you take to say you're sorry is repenting. Every single one of those prisoners was repentless none of them felt bad for any of the s*** they did or were about to do.

I like old Metallica, but I also like Load and Reload albums, their are some great songs off those albums, one of those songs is called Bleeding Me is a very good one. The Load album has a lot of radio played hits on it.
Slayer was signed to Def Jam at 1 point. That's why Kerry King played guitar on a couple Beastie Boys songs.
It was 1 song. People have been mistakenly crediting King for the solo in “Fight For Your Right” since 1986.

I saw slayer twice in San diego at golden hall. I was a teen and got snuck in by my best friends brother. Fuk what a show.

Thrash is amazing. Metallica and Slayer began releasing in 83, Anthrax 85, Testament 87, Megadeth was 84 or 85,Death Angel was soon after. Flotsam & Jetsam was 87 IIRC. Overkill was around 85-86. I don't remember when Exodus started, but mid-80's. Slayer retired a couple years ago. Otherwise, they are all alive, well and still kicking ass on stage.
The tall 6ft6 bald man, played Jason Vorhees! The cop in the beginning played one of the main characters in the WES CRAVEN film, PEOPLE UNDER THE STAIRS.
So by king himself this song was written as somewhat of an anthem to Jeff hanneman who was the original guitarist with him before is tragic death in 2013 from cirrhosis of the liver due to alcohol and he wanted to represent what slayer was about as well which he said was repentless which Jeff also embodied this was the last album by them as 4 years later they retired and also slayer was the only one of the big four to never change the way they played megadeth had their days of slowing down but picked up the thrash way in mid 2000's Metallica went from the black album all the way until 2007 trying too be non thrash and more radio friendly and anthrax tried to infuse rap into their music but slayer never quit being themselves
The main riff is exactly the same as Reborn from reign in blood, its a good one though

Slayer was a lifelong member of American Recordings label, owned by Rick Rubin, who also owned Def Jam Recordings, guilty of bringing metal and rap together if I am not mistaken
You guys should check out Sarah Longfield and Rob Scallon. They do a ukulele 4 video story. It is the greatest thing. You have to watch it. Always love to see you guy pop up in Notifications. I'd put Slayer at 3, Anthrax is 4 because they got really experimental really early. And Iron Maiden is New Wave of British Heavy Metal, alongside Judas Priest.

You guys would love the RUclips guitarist Rob Scallon's cover of Slayer's song "Payback", it's part of a 4 part series of very creative music videos of a church group meeting gone violently wrong.
It's very well done and it would be a cool change of pace if you guys would react to it, Leo Moraciolli (probably misspelled that lol) is another RUclipsr that does very creative covers.

80s were the height of Slayer, and all of the Big 4, hell of all heavy metal period.

Good morning gentlemen, definitely next way to get the blood pumping. I don't know if anyone has mentioned that this incarnation of Slayer also features guitarist Gary Holt who founded "Exodus" in 1981and many feel should be part of the "big five." As well as drummer Paul Bostaph who played in the Bay Area thrash Legends "Forbidden" a bit of backstory on NUCLEAR BLAST who are an og label, that had signed some primarily European Acts such as Gorefest, Amorphis, and Revocation, the label came up alongside several metal labels that were founded in the late '80s which included EARACHE from England that had acts like Morbid Angel, Bolt Thrower, Carcass, and of course their founding bread and butter Napalm Death. CENTURY MEDIA who signed seminal death metal such as Entombed, Unleashed, Tiamat and Grave. In the States was ROADRUNNER, who at the time (88-95)were THE dominant death metal label with bands such as Deicide, Sepultura,Gorguts Malovolent Creation and tons more. They are actually an offshoot of ROADRACER/MUSIC FOR NATIONS which go back even further with signings such as Merciful Fate, and King diamond. The dominant OG metal label in the States was of course METAL BLADE and their roster includes a lot of Maiden influenced classic metal such as Savatage, Fates Farning, and into the death metal era signing Cannibal Corpse, and they are still a huge label today. Has become the de facto home for former major label ( WARNER, ELECTRA, etc) bands such as Slayer who have left and signed better deals with NB , as metal became less "fashionable" in this era. This song was released in 2015 and sadly it was on their last album as the band retired in 2019. As for Slayer’s place in the so called big 4, they rank third in sales out of the 4

Another thing is: The lyrics in this case don't really have THAT much to do with the story of the video itself. Except probably, that the main character (the guy with the eyepatch), is doing this stuff repentless now. And if you watch the other 2 videos, you'll see how he ended up in that place.
SLAYER will always be the baddest for various reasons but a big reason is they never got any radio play, weren't allowed to play big arenas until later in their career and they NEVER changed their music to satisfy record labels, or for radio play or any of that commercial shit. Plus SLAYER fans will kick the shit out of Metallica fans as per kirk Hammett 👏

Awesome Reaction Guys! Slayer is BADASS! Got a different one for you guys. In 2003 (on MTV I think) they did a show called Metallica Icon where they had bands play Metallica songs with Metallica in the audience. Limp Bizkit did a cover of Welcome Home (Sanitarium) that was unique. Instead of the guitar solo the turn table guy did an awesome solo. They definitely made it their own and definitely worth a reaction. Korn also did the song One.
The first time I heard this in concert is when Slayer came to the KFC Yum Center in Louisville in 2019 and I was blown away by how great this song is
