Blue 27 alta & Blue 27 bassa & Red 51 @ Sauze d'Oulx

Blue 27 alta & Blue 27 bassa & Red 51 @ Sauze d'Oulx. Heading back into Sauze from the top of the gondola between Sestriere and Sauze, also the highest point in the area (M. Fraiteve 2701m). First went on these runs 13 years ago in 2011 on my first ever snowboarding trip. Absolutely crapped myself the first time I saw 27 bassa but a bit more chilled out about it these days haha... Red 51 was the run Dave and Chilly left me on that year for a couple of hours, telling me I had to learn how to turn as edging it all week was a bad idea. So Red 51 is the run I learned how to turn on!

I really am surprised how green the valleys are this time of year even on that side.... 😞

Yeah.. My 3rd time in Sauze this exact week and there was so much less snow than the last time 10 years ago. The real problem is that it was just too hot. They couldn't even run the snow cannons as it would have just been watering the piste :-(
