Thanks! ✅
Apologies for the short graphical glitch at the start of this video, this is caused by RUclips and not something I could fix.
🚄 INFORMATION KEY
Train Numbers - e.g. 43032 or 800110 - These are train numbers which are specific to that train. No trains can be numbered the same. Locos are 5 digit numbers where the first two numbers are the class of train e.g. 67010 would be a class 67. Multiple Units are 6 digit numbers where the first three numbers are the class of train e.g. 390154 would be a class 390. Click Here to learn more
➤ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TOPS#TO...
Headcodes - e.g. 1F32 or 5M00 - These are used by the railway signallers to determine where trains are on the network. Every train within a region has a specific four code ID. Click Here to learn more
➤ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Train_r...
Set Number - e.g. WB64 or NL04 - These are semi-permanent loco hauled coach formations which are kept together for formalities. The first two letters usually indicate the maintenance depot responsible e.g. OC is Old Oak Common, LA is Laira. The number indicates the rake number.
🚄 ABOUT ME
Hello everyone, I’m StarlifeStudios and my passion is to experience and video railway stations across the United Kingdom at both small and large locations, but, with an informative twist! My videos are also designed as a historical reference for the days of the past and to reminisce about the way things were. Join me as I continue to travel and be sure to let me know if you’d like me to video at your favourite or local station. - Авто/Мото
What was your favourite train from this video?
All the trains in the video were Mt favourite
At 0:16 it glitches
My favourite train is a class 66
Yeah I’ve put this in the description. My video rendered completely perfectly but for some reason RUclips doesn’t like it. I’ve tried uploading this 3 times. Sorry about that.
Fav train is the 69
Great video mate. Nice catch with the 69 😉
Got to say that's a super catch with the class 165 there as well. 😁
Thanks Ben. Rare catch of 69003 before it got named 😃 I had travelled from another station (next weeks) and knew it was a GW 165 but I had literally just arrived when it came round the bend!!
Excellent work! Always enjoy your videos! Still nice to see 319’s plying their trade!
Thanks Creesey. I really like the 319s and it’s a shame none of them were re-liveried into the LNR scheme because it would have been a good end for them 😃 Glad you enjoyed.
Lovely! Only 2 stops from my local, been here quite a few times, amazing video, I was at bushey on this day.
Woo! Pendos! Gotta love the freight
Fantastic video mate!
Thanks a lot! 😃
4:30
Okay that is actually speed
Some of those 350s get up to some serious speed!
Great video as always.👍👍
Great video as always 😎🎉👍🏽 Nice catch with that light engine class 69 😀🎉👍🏽
Big fan of the 69s EJC but I would have prefered a proper 56 😃
@@StarlifeStudios those 56’s used to be an every day occurrence here in South Wales when I was a kid..”Double heading” the very heavy iron-ore trains between Port Talbot and Llanwern (Newport) steelworks. These trains were so heavy, they would make the ground shake as they passed through my village and one was guilty of making a brand new (at the time) half built Co-op building to collapse due to the vibrations off the iron ore train 😯😦 56035 “Taff Merthyr”, 56037 “Richard Trevithick”, 56038 “Western Mail” and 56040 “Oystermouth” were always firm favourites on those early-mid 1980’s Iron ore trains. Prior to the 56’s, they used to be triple headed by 3 Cardiff Canton based class 37’s 😯🎉🎉👍🏽👀
Wow such beasts 😃 I suppose they’re all replaced with 66s now 😞 Have you had chance to see them this year? I believe they worked some English RHTTs around Swindon.
@@StarlifeStudios The Port Talbot-Llanwern iron-ore trains stopped in the early 2000’s with the closure of Llanwern. Its now the site where CAF are building new 196 and 197 trains. Last going off I think they were mainly handled by a sole class 60 although I think the Foster Yeoman 59’s had a short spell working this train too? 🤔
Great video mate
Thanks Arnold 👍
Great video! Maybe I should check out Apsley
You should! Just make sure you're on your toes for the fasts, you dont have much sighting time to the north!
yay, yet another great video :)
Thanks AirTaxi 😃
That footbridge at Apsley is 42 steps up from the platform.
I do remember that 720 pass me at my local station one day, just seen this video and was able to realise that I wasn’t hallucinating on that warm summers day 😂😂.
Wonderful video nonetheless though 😁
Well done for capturing 3 trains at once @ 1:36. Now try and get 4 at the same time!
Haha thanks Krayzkatman! 4 is so rare but I have done it before but a long time ago: ruclips.net/video/uw_4wtx8iys/видео.html
Great railway video
Thank you very much Imperialist!
Nice video 🙂
Very Nice Action mate
Many thanks!
Awesome
Nice slogan on 350 115 "Double Date train i also work in The West Midlands". And 350 116 "I'm seeing other passengers" like the humorous slogans. Though seeing 165 135 at the start is rare on The WCML. Don't tell me the Class 165's and 166's are nearing the end of their working lives. Though 30+ years of service well
For whatever reason, all the 350/1s have those slogans on them but none of the others. The 165 was going for an internal refresh, there’s nothing planned to replace them long term and they’ve only recently moved to the west. I’d say their lives are stable for the next 10 years.
@@StarlifeStudios Thank you for clearing that up for me. I was going to say that The Class 165 and 166 Turbos still have some life left in them especially in the railways centered around Exeter, Plymouth and Paignton.
The 350s are so satisfying 🤤
Great video do you think you could do Upminster or Grays as you tend to get some freight through there most times especially the RHTT
Thanks for another fab video.
Do you, or anyone else, know what the black dot on a yellow square sign means please?
I can't find a reference to it anywhere, and it only seems to be on the WCML.
Thanks
You should go to Bushey! Nice long straights with sharp turns at either end for massive tilting! Highly reccomend
Bushey has been recorded and its on its way! You can see some of the clips in the latest Trains at Speed: ruclips.net/video/OiKB50pWhn8/видео.html
Great western railway
Yeah I was wondering the same 🤔
Apsley is in Hertfordshire just north of the M25 motorway and near to Hemel Hempstead and also near to the M1 motorway. Plus where was the GWR Class 165 or Class 166 doing when it went past Apsley at normal speed on the WCML slow lines.
Yep! I can round the M25 to get to this location as well!
Ah gotcha. 👍
Hey Ross, is Apsley in Hertfordshire?
Its a tie between 69 and 390
Im a big fan of the 69s and I think the Pendolinos are great too!
@@StarlifeStudios pendolinos and voyagers are excellent tilting trains
Please tell me how you get all the information on every train, even when they’re going into sidings or depots, thanks!
Real-time trains is a good one. I think railcam provides all allocations though. Real-time trains doesn’t show allocations for everything
I’ll check it out, cheers!
My method uses a bit of everything; I use Traksy whilst filming to see where trains are approaching from (this is how I plan my shots and roughly know where to be facing when something is approaching) and then I use realtimetrains to mark what I saw against what it was.
Smart, thanks very much!
Do trains at Preston/Lancaster next
Preston.. interesting 😃👍
Can u do trains at brockenhurst?
I can certainly look into it for you Lumo :)
@@StarlifeStudios That would be amazing! Thanks!
Gwr on the WCML🤨
Goes to Wolverton Center Sidings for some stuff
Ah maybe that’s why it was on the WCML.
