Apsley was a station I used to visit all the time, when my Great Uncle used to live there. The views from the footbridges (if you are tall enough) are amazing up and down the line. The 350's were one of my childhood favourite trains for that reason. Sadly my Great Uncle passed away in the summer of 2015 and I haven't been back since. I find it so weird how a train station could hold a special place in your heart, but it does for me. Thanks Jared.
I am sorry to hear that your great uncle passed away in 2015 I'm sure you have some fond memories of this station. I haven't been back there since this film. I must go back there one day
Apsley is a station l have never been to but this well shot film captures it.up close and a record to refer to especially with the 2-47s Charter Well done Tornado
Hi tornado, I’ve been watching you since I was 6 years old and I’m 13 this month so I just wanted to say thank you for bringing out my love for train-spotting and trains in general ❤️
At many WCML and GEML stations where most trains do not stop at two platforms, there are specialised gates throughout the length of the platform that you can open, but few people rarely do. Also there's a footbridge with stairs leading onto every platform :)
More great work, but wow hardly any trains stop here, living near a station even as a non train enthusiast is convenient as you can travel easily but here for somebody who doesn't particularly like trains, seeing constant bypasses and few stops would be tedious

I think this may have been the second time that I have been there. I really must make an effort to come back here when I get the chance to :)
Very nice video Jarred and very nice capture of the charter to Portsmouth. Nice that Kieron could join you too. 😃
Thanks very much mate, yeah it was brilliant to catch the double 47's and it was great to be able to meet up with Kieron :D

hello there, I'm really happy to hear that you are enjoying this hobby. And thank you for staying with my channel for so long now
Nice station & great tones great to see the rail tour 47s another great video Jarred
Thank you. It certainly is a great station
Oh, they still use air horns to warn of approaching trains, I though these days they used LOWS (Look Out Warning System)
It certainly made things easier for me haha
Note to self: Dress up as a railway worker on the platform to get horn lol
It will work lol
off course brilliant morning with all the tones loved it!
It was fantastic
I think the drivers hand might have just slipped of the horn handle at 7:50
Either way it was hilarious
lol
At 4:29 are they allowed on the track while a train is running
epic film mate, like from me, love this part of the WCML
Thanks very much bud, sorry for the long wait to reply haha
Great video and amazing tones! As well as the double 47s. 😊😊
The double 47's certainly made it for me along with the brilliant tones
Yes, I saw a double 57s the other day.
I've been in that train station, when I was at that Hemel Hempstead Holiday Inn hotel, in front of the train railway station. :) :) :D :D :D:)
You must get some good views
How often do the 390s do five tone??
do the Loco drivers know in advance that there is engineering works like at Apsley or is it the case of they suddenly see the orange suits?
A lot of time they have some prior warning that some work will be taking place
Great video
Thanks very much
7:50. Now that was weak.
I know it was tragic
Would you like to come filming with me at Tamworth station today
How do you get over the fence
