both solar and lunar have the same hitbox burst you want to save your cosmos (+ror and ab) to the end of the 40s of styx and eclipse, this is mainly because of the back loaded dmg cygnus gives you, you also want to save the end "pop" of eclipse during the very last second of cygnus/ ror/ ab for max dmg (good for thought if you can't move ie out of ror during bm black chains). you can also get away with using true sight before buffing as with the hypers it makes it 50s where your burst skills last 40s, giving you 10s to buff and not wasting time using true sight after you're buffed. you can also animation cancel anything with equinox slash good vid! dw best class
@@Decatei Its literally everything, aside from having blazing and luster for big gap closing, you can use flicker/buster then equinox slash immediately after casting for a large dash as long as a hayato hitokiri strike, on a small 5s cooldown, really good movement tool.
lol there is a reason people joke about DW eating crayons for days. I main DW too, and it's just too good for my hand and mental stress. This game is all about longevity so if you get burned out because of the character, playstyle, or whatnot, it's really not worth it.
Another great video. A video explaining how much of certain stats someone needs to make sure they don’t finish red would be nice. I know it is difficult since it only takes 1 super op group member to make everyone else finish red but assuming it’s a 6 man of similar stat people. Also mention the importance of ied, I run Hellux groups everyday on multiple characters and there’s almost always someone that finishes red and they tell me afterwards that they have less than 80% ied, some people in the 60%~. Lastly, with all these first time 250s running around from the hyper burn event, a lot of them try to join Hlomien/ HLuWill groups only to finish red. So some stat/BA requirements for said bosses would be nice since some people think just being lv 255 is enough. Keep the videos coming, even if you think it’s something that’s already been heavily covered, would love to see your version of them :)
Hey dude I'm a new player and trying to decide what to make on the new fresh realm. I'm torn between aran, bucc, dawn warrior, and Kain. Have any suggestions? I've only played shadower so far to level 150 but I'm not super digging her =(
Play what's most fun to you! It depends on your playstyle, some classes have way more mobility, some are very straightforward and simple, others require a ton of memorization of combos and specific equips, etc. From the ones you listed: Aran is combo-heavy with pretty good mobility, but can get easier inputs at the cost of less mobility and slightly less damage, Buccaneer is super fast horizontal mobility with pretty good damage, DW is pretty easy and good for all around everything, and Kain is fairly cooldown-heavy, and has a few systems you need to remember as the enhanced versions of skills differ from the normal ones. Also their grapple hook is kinda fun but also not the best thing in the world. Hope that was of any help!
Could you create a beginner's guide for cube enhancements and flames in the game? I'm new to the game and unsure about which enhancements and flames work best for different equipment.
Flame is a bit more straightforward, there are calculators that you can use to calculate the "tier" of the flame. Granted you want the highest tier possible, but most of the time you settle for something that's "good enough", which generally means a mix of % stats + Attack/magic attack + main stats. As for Cubing, weapon/secondary/Emblem (often referred to as WSE for short), you want to aim for % attack and substitute with some boss dmg or ignore defense if you lack those. Rest of the gear, you want % stat or % main stat. End game wise: glove = % cri damage, hat = CD reduction (this also class dependent). But my recommendation is that, unless you are like a "hard-core" Mapler, don't chase the #. The reason is that Starfoce, while simple to understand, it cost a crap ton of money. But it's also one of the quickest ways to bring your combat power up. A decently optimized flame/cube 20/22 starforced character will generally outperform a 16 starforced character with almost-perfect optimized flame/cube (except maybe a perfect 3-line Att% on WSE, which for the love of god, I don't even know the chance of that ever happening).
Thanks so much for the insightful guide on DW. Currently maining a 24x Hero but thinking of hyperburning 260 maining DW, any suggestions if DW better overall than Hero?
I'm not entirely sure just yet since New Age drops later this month and I haven't looked into either too much, but right now pre-6th job, I believe Hero and DW are in similar positions in terms of damage. Probably DW edging Hero out slightly because they're much more comfortable to grind with. I'd still just stick with whichever class you enjoy more!
It all boils down to preference, for both strongest classes and ones you find most fun! Try things out that look fun to you, see what their playstyle is like, and just give it a go! As for classes that have fun combos, the obvious one is Aran for their focus on inputs and their literal combo system, or imo something like Buccaneer, Zero, or Hero for their string of inputs that benefit them the most when doing bosses. For classes that take skills/are a bit more effort, for the more intensive input cases there's Cadena and Blaster, and kind of Thunder Breaker or something like Hayato. Probably a ton of others I'm forgetting cause there's nearly 50 classes to choose from, and they all play fairly differently!
Im having trouble with the ToT Memory Keeper quest its not completing or continuing after accepting the quest do I need to complete the story quest lines
Equinox stance replaces both moon and sun, and you'll always want it on for both training and bossing once you get it, since it combines the two and keeps the benefits of both
if the damage is still going through, and it's not as much a latency issue with the whole game (attacks coming through delayed, mobs walking in place often, etc.), I'd say it's still very possible to play! All that the stance swap does nowadays is change the hitbox of divide/slash slightly, their damage and lines equalize once you get equinox
@@Decatei I turned off the 64 bit option and now I get 5 souls before the cooldown of cosmic matter resets so I'm fine. Managed to solo nlotus in 9 minutes.
On the bottom right are your quick slots. You can change these around in the bottom left of your keyboard shortcuts, and put any of the Cosmic skills (shower, burst, matter) on these. Once placed on your quick slots, when you have Soul Element toggled on and attack, in the bottom right of their icons, you'll see a number. That number is how many cosmic orbs you have
I have question ??.. How upgrade skill lv 6 ( Thief Cunning ..v.v)..if i up 3 class Thief to lv 120 ( will get link skill Thief cunning lv 2) then can stack to lv 6 ?? ( 2+ 2 +2 )
what does ping affect specifically? I know switching stances can become slower if you are lagging, but isnt there something to do with the purple orbs thats affected because of high ping?
I ended up with 3 perfect trinodes, and my DW isn't one of my main classes I play TOO too often, and it was a cheap and easy way for me to hit max level on my boost nodes efficiently without much investment other than the nodes I already had 😅 Ideally you'd want 2 maxed out at 25+5 slot enhancements on each for the max level of 60 per boost
11:44 "Dawnie" sounds waaay too close for comfort with a certain ableist slur so I'd just ditch that and stick with DW honestly xD Aside from that, amazing video :) ♥
It's the lionheart battle scimitar, which can be obtained from the Cygnus boss fight! You need 15 of the gold squares she drops (Pieces of Ruin) to get it
Honestly love the aesthetic and the skills but until they let me toggle the sun above your head and make great swords not appear 2Handed with a cash item over it I’m staying away lmao
There is no "best" class, since it all boils down to opinion and preference. For reboot, any class. For reg server I'm not 100% sure but I'd guess anything that isn't the star-throwing thieves (NL/NW), just because people tend to inflate their class's item's prices heavily. I could be entirely wrong on the reg server part but yeah just play whatever you have the most fun with. If you want classes that can hit the 5% easier in bosses, avoid supports (Bishop, BT, BaM, Kanna)
Because its so easy, you question yourself if you are playing it right 😂. Just like… is that all the keys for the skills?? No shot, *checks guide* well…
both solar and lunar have the same hitbox
