What an outstanding class. Justin nails it regarding the whole Acts 2 fiasco. Justin manages to throw in some comedy about Peter being slow to respond to the Holy Spirit's guidance. Very well done. Glad I caught the class, it'll help me convey it to my class. Kudos Mr. Johnson!!

The gospel is the gospel of the kingdom!
Jesus is going to return and set up the kingdom of God ON THE EARTH! God’s government ON THE EARTH! The Messiah died for his people! God resurrected the Messiah! The Messiah will resurrect his people at his coming! The destiny of the Messiah and his people is to be ON THE EARTH! The renewed restored earth! God also dwelling with them! Rev 21
    Matt 24
14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
Jesus said the Father is the only true God!
    John 17
3 And this is eternal life, that they know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.

Why leave out the rapture of the Church/The Body of Christ, unless you're reading a modern translation, then I get it. Your being mislead.

      Hello
The rapture is the catching up to meet Jesus as he descends earth at the second coming
When a royal visitor or important figure would come you would go out to meet them and escort them into the city
Jesus is coming to the earth to rule the nations with believers
Believers will go up to meet him and descend to the earth with him

You say in Acts chapter 8 that the Holy Spirit fled. Why do you say this? I don't see the Holy Spirit "fleeing".

That's a question of a confused student. Peter was a devout Jew and a disciple lf Christ, both of which were born under the Law. Paul from the tribe of Benjamin was a devout Jew as a member of the Pharisees under the tutelage of Gamaliel - yes he was a Jew; HOWEVER Saul later called Paul was terrorizing believing Jews because Saul was confused. The risen Lord extended Saul Grace on the road to demascus and chose Paul to be Bis vessel to take the word to the world. That word was called The Gospel of Grace/The Body of Christ to Jew, Gentile and Kings of nations.
