I always thought of the edm era as a sort of renaissance for music. Suddenly music production software was available to anyone who had a couple hundred dollars and a laptop, and anyone could publish / “get signed” by just sharing on RUclips, so talent that would have otherwise been undiscovered was able to flourish and we got literally thousands of songs with unique styles and emotion. What a time to live through.

Hello from 2018! Au5 left the label over two years ago, but is still making absolutely mesmerizing music. Meanwhile on Monstercat, the crappy riddim revolution continues on, with a few notable exceptions.
still listening to these old n gold songs, nearing 2020. Love these old tracks, they ring with something i cant place that the newer tracks somehow lack.
Nostalgia, and originality.
The golden age of electronic music is sadly over. Not enough people want to innovate and be themselves. This is one of the greatest dubstep tracks to ever be released in my opinion along with almost everything else released in the earlier days of Monstercat.
My heart is always delighted to come back to this age
I love all these songs but hearing them from 5 years ago and knowing that 5 years have passed since it was released just makes me sad or lonely. Even though I listened to them when they were new.

i think mainly it was because you know, this was BRAND new at the time, there wasn't stuff like this before 2011-2014, so this sort of stuff was absolutely crazy to us.

I love how some youtubers can come in and just nitpick at a song that they apparently like. Dont compare one song with another song. Each song is its own unique piece of music. It doesn't need to be changed or altered to suit one paticular persons taste, it is what it is. The lyrics doesn't have to be a shakespearean transcript. I love the music and I love the lyrics.

AU5, thank you what you have layed on da internet, this song is i guess a mix between house an dubstep, but thats my opinion. I cant explain it, mostly cause im not bothered to. But is it just me or can u tell if its AU5 by da drop and the chord or the lead he uses (dunno whats da difference). It is so easy to tell it is him, its almost like a signiture sign. And fuck u who ever thinks his songs sound the same, as i told u the bass and da lead is what u may think is the same.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again, with even greater confidence: Au5 is one of the very best artists on Monstercat right now, and he never ever disappoints with any release. I see a lot of hate in the comment section about how his tracks sound similar, but every artist has a style and Au5's is very well defined with deep roaring basses and wide melodies and chords that work together to form one hell of an atmosphere. To complain about a piece of artistic beauty like this is simply madness.
What Au5 did with this track was just incredible. First of all, I was very surprised by the full-time drums at 0:45. It almost reminds me of hard dance, but that only makes the song even more interesting, and listening back on it, it is wonderfully intergrated. The growls kick in progressively and the drop is classic Au5: relentless, almost wild and constantly high-energy. The vocals are beautifully mixed in with the rest of the song and the chorus is just fantastic. The lyrics might not carry a particularly deep message, at least not from what I can deduce, but hell, the rest of the song makes you forget all about that.
Outstanding work, Au5 & Tasha Baxter. I must say, this is probably the best release on the album so far.
(And I hope to god this streak is continued with the Mirai Sekai EP #HYPEHYPEHYPE )

Im sooo glad hes getting all the exposure he deserves. The combination of UKF and MC is gonna get this song to #1 on Beatport dubstep charts, and will give him overall more followers on SC. Not to mention that the song is a complete MASTERPIECE. Tasha's vocals were above average, but they really cant be compared to Dankya's vocals in Real Love or Follow You. The trancestep mix-genre flowed beautifully with the vocals, and the second drop really brought out his old style, which ive missed so much. I LOVE this song
