It's 2014. The internet is full of MLG memes, Call of Duty montages and Illuminati theories. Perhaps you play Minecraft with friends (whose soundtrack is for another day ;D ). School was "hard" on you but you've had a great time with your friends... What a wonderful world to live in. Nostalgia truly is the most pleasant and most horrific feeling in the world. It's upsetting you won't be able to ever experience it again - "You didn't know these were the golden days until they were over" but happy because it happened in the first place - "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." That truly has been the best childhood I could ever wish for! Goodbye 2000's-2010's, I have to let go of you now. I wish I could go back in time and tell my past self to cherish and respect the moment I was living in, even if I didn't quite understand why yet. This song carried me through the worst year of my life in High School, I am not lying when this was one of the major songs that kept me alive and from giving up. Shits getting hard again, and I lost this song but out of sheer luck RUclips auto played it in my car yesterday 5 years later and the rush of emotion I felt the moment the first verse was sung. I never admitted it at the time, but this song, it's lyrics, helped me out of one of the darkest points in my life. Underneath the creul, crushing voice that keeps you down, if you recognize it for how nasty it is... You might not realise it, but there is a small, kind one. It is that safe place to retreat to if you let yourself. And in that place, you can figure out the way forwards, through the broken parts of who you once were, to a new place, and a new, improved version of yourself. Always keep striving to better yourself. Even in the pits of despair, you will come out the other side, and still be there. That place you retreated to will always be with you to return to, and be safe and naiive in when you need it.

Found this banger when I was still 10 years old in 2014. I've always been bullied and isolated by my classmates back then but this song has always kept me going through those hard times. Playing Roblox with my online friends while listening to Tristam's songs was such a blast and I'm glad that the internet has brought me to this amazing artist. It's 2022 now, I'm 18 years old and had just recently graduated from high school and have met plenty of awesome people that I could call friends. I somehow relate this song to a story between a parent and their child. The parent explaining the child how they should address the obstacles in their path. The child going throughout their life, solving their own problems and walking their own path, but always counting with their parent when things get too rough. "We can stay here and play until somehow you can find a slightly better frame of mind" Makes me think of the parent offering support to the child whenever they need it until they (the child) matures enough to not need the parent anymore. "When all eyes are on you, you will know what to do since you would have a better frame of mind" (or something like that) Makes me think that everything the child will eventually have enough maturity and understanding to know what to do and how to do it. I see it as a guy who is mentally stable, down to earth, and calm, is talking to a slightly younger girl. The girl has a worse FRAME OF MIND, and is mentally unstable. Let’s call the guy axel and the girl will be lyla: Axel takes Lyla under his wing in a sense and guides her through high school along with him. She catches feelings for him and vise versa. I really do. I’m going to high school in a couple months and there’s no way I’m gonna stop listening to this song.

6 years later I am in my final year of college deciding what I want to do with my life, I have a girlfriend from a different country and she is coming over soon, so much has happened, some good, some bad, yes I miss my childhood so much, but I'm just happy that I have things that I can care for, I love you guys, every single damn one of you ❤

Found this banger when I was still 10 years old in 2014. I've always been bullied and isolated by my classmates back then but this song has always kept me going through those hard times.
Playing Roblox with my online friends while listening to Tristam's songs was such a blast and I'm glad that the internet has brought me to this amazing artist.
It's 2022 now, I'm 18 years old and had just recently graduated from high school and have met plenty of awesome people that I could call friends. I somehow relate this song to a story between a parent and their child.
The parent explaining the child how they should address the obstacles in their path. The child going throughout their life, solving their own problems and walking their own path, but always counting with their parent when things get too rough.
"We can stay here and play until somehow you can find a slightly better frame of mind" Makes me think of the parent offering support to the child whenever they need it until they (the child) matures enough to not need the parent anymore.
