I have about 20 episodes that you are missing. Were they blocked by RUclips or did you not have them?
Can I upload them ?
Too many commercials. There weren't this many when the show first aired.
Originally telecast on October 28, 1950.
Verne Smith, announcer.
The youngest daughter went on to play Zelda in the early 60's sitcom called Doby Gillis. I was in high school at the time. Doby Gillis' father was always saying, "I gotta kill that boy...I just gotta."
Yeah that would be so politically incorrect today...They would cancel the show.

@@GrumblingGrognard -- Thanks.
I wonder why in interviews she doesn’t refer to this show. She even talks about Broadside which was about two to three years after Dobie was canceled.
Mrs. Erwin favors Bud Collyer .
♥️♥️♥️
Fimed at Hal Roach Studios, Culver City, California.
Can somebody give me the whole 411 on this show?
It was one of the first filmed situation comedies to be produced for network television [ABC, in 1950]- and produced by Roland Reed, who was also famous for producing "MY LITTLE MARGIE", "THE BEULAH SHOW", "ROCKY JONES- SPACE RANGER" and "WATERFRONT". 130 episodes were produced from 1950 through '55 {selected episodes were repeated in the 1953-'54 season}. Stu and June were married in real life [she was Clayton "Bud" Collyer's sister]. Although he was happy to appear in the series, Stu often wanted his on screen character to be less of a "bumbler", and portrayed as a more responsible person. This happened during the final season.
General Mills {Betty Crocker cake mixes, Gold Medal flour, Cheerios, Wheaties} was the original sponsor (1950-'54), with Frawley Pen Co. {Paper-Mate} as an alternate sponsor during the 1953-'54 season. Liggett & Myers [L&M cigarettes] assumed full sponsorship in the final season.
Thank you so much for that history 👏. Much appreciated from a classic tv fan.
Zelda's just a little shrimp in this show.

I'm on the second episode of this TV show. Very probably not going to watch the rest. I'm So sick of watching manipulative adults, but now I have to watch manipulative, Passive Aggressive kids using psychological games to control their parents into situations where the kids always get what they want. They end up making their parents look like idiots who can easily be controlled. The kids are in charge of the Robotic parents. Sad, Sad.
