I wonder how many people really find these old shows more entertaining than the crude on TV now.
A LOT. This was the time when there were a lot of experienced people involved with early television, both from acting to producing. They knew what they were doing, and did it with limited money in a pioneering medium. And they many times did their best with the material they were given and worked with the limitations of the budgets.
More than you probably realize! And no F words or any other 4 letter words! I'm 74. We had 2 B&W channels!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! Days gone by! Good ole wholesome television, the whole family could watch.
It's great to see these! My grandmother and Gale Storm were cousins, they spent a sleepover the day before Gale went to Hollywood, my grandmother use to tell me how excited they were.
Peter O'Toole had a double-phallic moniker and Gale Storn is a double moniker that requires air...time after time.
Life was so simple. Television initially pulled families and society together.
Too silly
@@bettyreese2930 It's not like some tabloid psoing as news to warn their viewers about the risk of immigrants replacing them.
I am here because I just watched his silent movie : City Girl. Great actor.
A hunk.
No laugh track or live audience.
Saw this in reruns late 50's, early 60's as a child.
Airdate: Monday June 16, 1952 9pm Eastern CBS-TV The series began as a Summer Replacement for "I Love Lucy" After CBS opted not to put the series onto its 1952-1953 schedule, NBC picked up the series for the remainder of its original run.
Thank you for the insight!
Class! Too bad we can't go back!
Ever notice almost every other episode someone ends up with a black eye lol.
Ever notice everyone got a black eye in the 50s episodes lol

Was 50 old back then?
yes, i don't think people lived as long as they do now.
@@goldtopazasylum But Mrs. O was over 80 and very impish. An adorable character.
People lived almost as long as we do today, but lifestyle habits definitely affected the way people physically aged and viewed aging as a result. Charles Farrell was a heavy drinker and smoked, and his hair also went grey after WW2. Luckily, there is more emphasis on health these days so most 50 year olds look much younger!!
What year was this aired?
Honestly! The way they portray the elevator boy is pure racism.
Uuuuhhh..that was a very different time. It was perfectly acceptable.
And YOU referred to him as the elevator BOY. Go figure.
Nitwit. Compared to the garbage on TV now?!
