Installation should say:
Turn off water valve
Flush toilet to drain any water in the tank to minimize spillage
If the outlet is near the water spouts then turn off the breaker for safety
If you’re in a limited space do the plumbing connections before installing the seat to save room

My toilet doesn't have a tank and only a large pipe leading to it for water, can I still I stall one of these? I do have a sink next to the toilet with water inlets.

How much energy does this use? I know it claims 600watts for the water heater but is that 24/7 or does it only turn on when you sit on it?

Late to the party, but I'll answer -- so it isn't on 24/7, it turns on as needed to heat/reheat water. If it only turned on when you sat down, it wouldn't be able to heat the water in time for use.

I don’t have an outlet either but I called the company and they told me I could use a heavy outside extension cord. I’ve used it for over a year with no issues at all. I just don’t plug anything else into it, just the bidet. Good luck!!
