@@NARKISDUDE Spoken like someone who has never sang a note in their life. You do realize there are false vocal cords that are perfectly fine to use for screams, it comes from above the larynx which is why it does no damage. Its the people who scream and it is coming from below the larynx who mess their voice up. Many videos about it on YT. It should not ever hurt to scream a line, if it does you did it wrong and are damaging the true vocal cords. Thats why I can scream for 4 hours and not cough but I see others try it an hack a lung up. I try to explain the difference, but it takes you feeling how it feels to know how to do it. A good rule of thumb is if you cough, you messed up. Since Matt Bellamy here isn't coughing when he is screaming it is engaged in his false vocal cords and he did it right. Its the same effect people like Chris Stapleton use for the grit in his voice, it starts in a vocal fry area and Chris mostly keeps it there so he can use a low rich voice and have access to it. Matt uses his full vocal range, D2 - C6, that is his full vocal range. He isn't damaging anything if you have that kind of range that extends this far into his career. The band has been around since 1994, I think damage would have presented itself by now. Plus here is what you actually didn't know about him, he is literally classically trained vocally, that means this man can sing opera if he wanted to, because he was taught to sing correctly. Now who's stupid?

Matt has one of the best live performance voices I've ever heard. His live singing is even often better then the songs that he recorded in the studio. Hats off Matt- you're amazing 😊
His highest note is at the end of Showbiz. I don't understand why so many people think Micro Cuts is higher... it's quite clearly lower. There's also a video showing all his different live Showbiz high notes, you should check it out.
well the highest note in Micro Cuts is G#5 (after the second chorus) and the last note of Showbiz also is G#5, and yep i checked some gigs when he hits A5 after Showbiz, even the first clip in this video lol, also he hits A5 in Showbiz Two Days A Week Festival
Hector Cheivz i'm pretty sure that in the last bit of micro cuts, before the transition to the heavier riff, he reaches an A5. Mainly bevause i can reach a G#5 and i can't reach that note
I've compared the two, and Showbiz still sounds a tad higher. Not the final note of Showbiz, but one before that, technically. By ear it sounds very slightly higher in Showbiz.
Well then your ear is wrong. Search for the youtube video "^That video is wrong. Micro Cuts and Showbiz are the same" to hear a comparison of the two G#s.
You sure???? Its a real question because I know the studio one is an F#5, so curious why he was unable to hit it in concert. His range is D2 to C#6, I can't imagine it would have been hard to hit it since its only 2 notes past a D5. Might have been he couldn't really hear himself so he did the note on feel alone and generally that will cause you to hit a lower note. Again I am just curious?
I know I am very late but he used to sing a lot of songs with high notes so his voice probably couldnt reach that note by the end of the concert which is when he usually plays the song so he can go that high but not after singing high notes the whole concert
These are mostly just screams which aren't that impressive if you compare them to his awesome falsettos.
Pretty damaging to the voice too. he wasn't a very smart vocalist
NARKISDUDE He was and he still is one of the smartest singer ever. His different screams has always been big part of live shows also.

Strait up screams can often have high pitched overtones. But they are not hard to produce. Whats more impressive is the falsettos.

All you need is a piano to hear that the last note before the riff in Micro Cuts is a G#, the same note as in Showbiz.
I've compared the two, and Showbiz still sounds a tad higher. Not the final note of Showbiz, but one before that, technically. By ear it sounds very slightly higher in Showbiz.

Holy fucking shit, I did not realize Matt could scream sing. That takes fucking talent. This is why I love Muse.
Can’t wait to see the live debut of Matt ate Mushrooms
So, Micro Cuts WASN’T on here, repeat: Micro Cuts was NOT on here, very interesting
Plug in baby at reading 2017 was very high
Plug in baby at Bizarre is a D5, the distortion on the vocal mic creates the harmonic/overtone

Dead Star's A5 is an A4
Metehan Arın no, check correctly is an A5
NEEEEERDS XD JK
He's right, it's the distortion on the vocal which creates a harmonic
Singing in harmony, an octave a part
love him,get goosebumps with his voice
3:29 🤣🤣🤣🤣
You are a real muser brother
New high studio note the A5 in We are fucking fucked, although it's buried in the mix.
Dios, pobres cuerdas vocales jajaja

holy shit that's fucking awesome
El vídeo iba bien hasta que ha contado como nota el aire que le sale al reír.
3:47 😂 and that’s why you should never eat mushrooms that you’ve found in your backyard
This is why you should
Basically he manages to get high notes by screaming…what a legend
6:46 isn't him, I think.
yes, he screams but is a very distorted note, difficult to pitch
I mark ur face dom LOL 0:39
also that d6 doesn't count. it's distortion feedback.
What register are those screams in? Chest?
Good video
eu consegui até C6
:U
Where the fuck is supremacy
the highest note is F#5/G5
I know I am late but it is actually a g#5
:v
A5 most people with simple classical training can hit
Finally, someone who knows that.
Oh common, even I can do those.
