I love the new style and the new test, this makes your videos much better. Before you'd have different cars doing different speeds in the AEB tests and it was confusing. I'm surprised to see this only has 86% in side impact, especially considering it has central airbags between the front passengers!
Actually in the side impact the Yaris performed very well. The 86% is due to the not excellent score in the new frontal impact test (mobile progressive deformable barrier). But that’s a new test, and the Yaris is the first car to undergo it. Let’s wait and see how other cars will perform in that test.
Serious car accident between Toyota yaris vs hilux, which happened in front of me this year. Two cars considered Total losses. But two car owners really can walk out from the car, minor injured.. Really fantastic cars. It really impressed me towards Toyota yaris quality against crashing....
I think this is great that Euro NCAP Has came out with so many different vigorous tests. Although if a tiny Toyota Yaris can score an 86% in the movable deformable barrier test, I think the test should be a lot more severe. @@DashCamSerbia is the weight will be heavier if they test a larger car? Would be an absolute win if it was a 2.000kg SUV versus a 1.400kg small vehicle
@@alifrachmanz As I understood, the weight is fixed 1.400 kg for all cars. That of course means that lighter cars will fair worse than heavier cars, but that is what happens in real accidents anyway.
There are also sensors on the mobile barrier to test if the car tested is safe not just for the passengers, but also other cars as well. So heavier cars are also penalized.
@@Vengir That is good. But can you tell my why 2020 Yaris is a 5 star car, when chest protection is rated as marginal and feet protection as weak? This car should be 3 stars at best.
