These walk abouts were so cute and as I go along in mandarin realize they are most important for the day to day vocabulary. and comprehension. Eileen was so cute.
I have a question about the part in 13:56 I was asking about "dào" from my teacher as in some vocabulary I had seen it before. In the vocabulary it was described little bit like the english word "to". Still, in a lot of sentences I haven't seen "dào". For example, "Wǒ xiǎng qù zhōngguó". She explained it was mostly used when you are arriving somewhere. For example, "Wǒ dàojiāle." Yet, in this context "dào" is used before arriving?
Hi Tero! 到 dao is also a resultative verb ending. In 13:56, I said, we go cross the road, and "get" to the other side. In this case, "dao" indicates the result from the action of crossing the road. We explained this concept in this video: ruclips.net/video/P_2ZUclowjw/видео.html
Please dont say donation for your channel. You are creating lot of value and you could well ask for contribution from those who get the benefit of your work 💐
Yes, it is in fact too fast (but more real-life). Thanks for the tip about the speed, it had always been there but I never saw the "custom" link (and cool sunglasses., with a qipao they would be terrific)

Yes you can Frank, and that would be deeply appreciated. Some other Supporters do donate again, but it is because they want to support us further. It is not necessary to continue a Mandarin Corner Supporter membership.
@@MandarinCorner2 oh cool, here in my country you're kinda not obligated to tip someone, but if the person does an excellent job most of us will tip him/her
It would be far better if you could add more choices of subtitle in various languages. I believe more people out there who do not speak English will benefit from your video.

What kind of iron metal door is that? 11:09
防盗门 / door prevent thieves. That's what we call this kind of door.
around 2:40 are you saying they repaired the bike or they didn't repair it?
I took the bike there, but the guys said that there was no problem so, it didn't need any repair.

“太红了” it means it is too red. But what does it mean too private?
There wasn't any special meaning. It was only because the underwear was red and there were many of them.
Why 110 is yao yao ling ? and not yi yi ling ?
That's how we sometimes, read the number 1.

Everyone should learn English before Mandarin anyway.
