What do you know about General Khalid ibn al-Walid?
Don't forget to leave a like and a comment for the algorithm 👍
General Khalid didn't faced any defeat as a military commander.
And he fought around 30 to 35 Battles as commander and over 100 battles as a soldier.

If you see Khalid Bin Walid is the Muslim commander, you know the outcome. That man never lost a battle. He was the "Sword of Allah"
As great of a warrior Khalid bin Walid (ra) was, victory and defeat is in the hands of Allah swa not a general or personality. This kind of statement is why Umar Faruq (Ra) replaced Khalid (ra) as the amir with Abu Ubaida. Many muslims started uttering such statements. It could lead to shirk (making partners with Allah swa) which is a major sin and the only sin that if one dies in that condition, the hellfire is his/her abode. We have to think before we speak. Seek knowledge from righteous scholars of Islam. May Allah reward both with the highest status in jannah. Amin.

Khalid Ibn Walid: “then, it is an even fight.”
khaled ibn Walid desired martyrdom so much that he wouldve engaged 60k byzantines with few hundred soldiers so he could secure his wish .........But caliphs of Islam wouldnt allow that !
"That's a shame. You're at least 3 short".
Actually it was 6:1...240000 Romans vs 40000 Muslims....

In just 10 years, the Muslims defeated the Persian Empire and the Byzantine Empire together... Even though the two empires had been fighting for hundreds of years, none of them could defeat the other. Islam came and defeated them all. Imagine entering into a battle against China and America at the same time.
680 years of fighting one another .
Nomadic armies uniting under 1 rule was the bane of all Sedentary Empires during the era of pre gunpowder. The Mongols fought a 3 front war against China, several Islamic Empires and sultanates during the golden age of Islam, as well as the Kieven Rus and they still conquered these nations. The Huns displaced many Germanic tribes out of their homeland and brought both the Eastern and Western Roman Empire to its knees extorting massive tribute from both while devastating their territories, The Seljuks within ~60 years conquered much of the Islamic world from the Levant all the way to the Hindu Kush while also inflicting a devastating defeat against the Byzantines opening up Anatolia for conquest, the same Anatolia that stood like a bulwark for hundreds of years against the armies of the Umayyads and Abbasids.
Not the same China and America are superpowers, Persian was no superpower, the probable was about 4 thousands of years ago the other whatever don,t matter
If Islam was that powerful they would be the rulers of planet earth, the muslem could not fight Great Briton ,France, Spain kick out the muslems in 1492 and up to today the muslem cannot retake Spain, the muslem cannot even enter Italy like how they run up on other European countries
One of the most important factors in the rapid success of the Islamic conquests was the humanity with which they treated the vanquished. Contrast this with the Roman Julius Caesar who knew how cruelly he treated those he defeated he exclaimed Vae Victis (woe to the vanquished).
History truly is full of crazy stuff. Awesome video. I always wonder how cool it would be to meet some of these people. Even if it's just for a moment. It's all so fascinating.

Muslims do not fight for money or power, but rather they fight for their religion and their strength in their religion, because their religion is the truth in the midst of this great darkness. The strength of Muslims comes to them from heaven. May God grant them victory because they are the ones who actually represent the religion of the Lord. I have begun to recite the Qur’an, and it seems that I will embrace Islam in the near future, and I hope. Thanks for all your hard work!!!
They say that this man Khalid was the best commander ever unmatched in all of the history war masterminds that we know. Imagine him far better than Alexander the great and Hannibal Barca.
For its time, yes probably. But i dont think he was greater/better than Hannibal Barca or Alexander the great. He just fits into this list of the greatest commanders of all time. There is not really a best of all history. Alexander the great and Hannibal Barca, both lived in a different time. So each had their advantages and disadvantages. Also each great commander had their fair amount of luck, so yeah a 'Best commander in all of history ' does not really exist, that might just be more of a personal thing. But sure he belongs in the list of the greatest and best commanders in history.
only an Arab believes this lmao.
@@ShadowGearFive if you measure a commander by his achievements and tactical mind and how they lead a attack and counter another one, and how they manage to overcome the traps and the deadly situations, keeping in mind the number of the army men and the land they fight in.. and the expansion of territory under their leadership.. you'd fit all of that into Khalid Waleed. Honest opinion. The best of all time.
@@Zlav963 Yeah for sure, im not denying that. But i think Khalid is not the only one who was capable of doing so. What you just named is all part of a great commander. and Khalid belongs to one of the greatest commanders of all time.
But he is not the only one, take at Hannibal Barca, leading and fighting his way through the alps with a huge army. And losing half in the process, but still be capable of defeating every roman army in his way to Rome. Or Alexander, leading his men through extreme conditions towards babylon and capturing all of the persian Empire. Napoleon defeating every single oponent, often outnumbered and outsmarted his enemies. Admiral Michiel de Ruyter, defeated both the french and English fleet in once while he was outnumbered. Saladin, was great leader with many skills. He had great military, political and chivalry skills. He was a generous and humble man, often respected by his enemies. And ofcourse Khalid also belongs to the same category.
You cannot really say who is better, think all of these commanders were the best of their time until they lost momentum, got too old, lost 1 battle etc. A new supreme commander somewhere else would show his amazing abilities. So once again i think it is a personal preference, wich is absolutely fine. But calling one of them 'the best of all history' is very unfair towards the other great commanders. There is just a small selection of the greatest commanders of all time and sure Khalid belongs into that selection. :)
@@ShadowGearFive that's exactly the point my friend: "until they lost momentum, lost one battle".. that's exactly my "personal and humble" take, that i agreed with those (scholars in their craft) who said Khalid is and will never be matched historically by any army commander, because he didnt lose a battle as a army commander nor as a soldier nor even as a man to man fight in the heart of the desert. It's strange, in our human nature there is the defeat, loss, failure etc.. his goal (as they said) was to die as a Martyr, he even was crying so sad on the death bed mocking himself dying of illness and old age fatigue, and not in the battlefield. Believe me if Khalid was in Hannibal's place, he would have won the besiege of Rome, or would have fought to death and not poisoning himself.
Well done, quality videos always. I hope to see you stay!

It was also the Muslims who stopped the Mongols' advance into Europe in 1260 at the Battle of Ain Jalut and saved Europe from destruction.
That battle only killed a fraction of Hulegu's army under one of his lieutenants, most of the army that destroyed Baghdad (the greatest Muslim city at the time) and laid the Ayyubids to waste went back to Mongol territory with the main general Hulegu due to the death of the Great Khan. In fact Hulegu himself was planning another invasion but Berke, the leader of the Golden Horde faction of the Mongols and an Islam convert, chose to attack Hulegu as retribution for the destruction Hulegu cost in Baghdad, the sacking of which ended what had been the golden age of Islam. These Mongol civil war was what led to the weakening of Mongol power in the area and halted a potential European invasion thru Anatolia.
@@ronb7189 I do not agree with your opinion, my friend. The Mongols were a powerful force for which the world reckoned a thousand times, and the propaganda of terror that they spread in the world at that time alone was sufficient for their victory over all their enemies. Did you know that some countries that knew that the Mongols would attack them would surrender directly to them before the battle? and Many European historians acknowledged the fact that Muslims protected Europe from the Mongol encroachment
@@Daniel_77_ Berke was a technically a Muslim convert so you can say a Muslim general help break the Mongol Jaggernaut by attacking Hulagu and inciting a devastating Mongol civil war, but the battle of Ain Jalut was not what broke the Mongols, Hulegu and most of the army that just bulldoze Baghdad, Syria and much of the Levant was still there and who knows how the Mamluks would have fare against the full might of the Ill Khanate under the talented Hulegu.
We know that Baybars made a lot of effort to ally himself with the leaders of Golden Horde and incited them into attacking Hulegu's Ill Khanate, which just proves how great of a leader Baybars was, knowing his facing an enemy with more resources than he has, he used dirty diplomacy to greatly weaken his enemies while he strengthen his own position.

I have a question.
Are the titles of each of your videos meant to be showed to me in a different language?
(Not to be mistaken with the actual documentary, they are all english, but i mean the actual title of the video)
Some of your videos for me are shown with a english title, but some other of your videos are titled in my native language.
This particular video for me has a title in the Czech language, which are not my native language.
Whether this is intentional or not i dont know, but if somehow an error occurs and youtube shows this video title in czech and sends it out to a bunch of people worldwide, who does not speak that particular language then i would only assume that would impact your views negatively.
As i doubt, taken for an example, an native english speaker who only speaks english, sees an video with a Czech title, he may not click it, and you will not get that view, not unless of course he knows your channel in advance, and do realise that it is your channel before entirely skipping the video and going to the next one.
I have seen other channels having this translated title thing aswell, and frankly i dont watch their videos.
Personal reason is i speak multiple languages, and when i click to watch a video, i expect the spoken language in the actual video to be the same language used for the title aswell.
So i am tuned in on what language i should prepare to listen to.
So if i click a video having a title in my native language, but the then spoken language is something else, i will back off from that video immediatly
I watched this video and took a care to comment, because i realised who's channel this video belonged to before scrolling onto other videos or even blocking the youtubers.
If i hadnt seen the channels name and realised it was you, i would not had watched the video.
Since this is an english documentary, i would prefer the videos to have an english title
