Thank you very much! Your tutorial give me the confidence to try this myself in my wife's Aygo Nextbase 222. Her Aygo was exactly the same as the one you shown. I notice you crimped a different connector on the earth lead, was this to shorten the earth lead? because I have so much extra cable to bunch up. Thank you once again, I really appreciate you taking the time to make this video.

You don’t have to piggy back a fuse if fuse 7 is free which in these cars it usually is unused.

Hi mate, I saw your video on the "Road Angel Halo Pro" and based on that I got the exact same dashcam for my daughters Citroen C1 which is the same as the Aygo in this video. Its a 4 door model. Please can you describe how to route the cable for the rear view camera. it looks like I'd have to pull the top of the door seals down like you do in this video?

    Hi PJ.
Looking at time index 9.23 of this video where you install the fuse tap, can you confirm that the actual power comes in through the fuse pin nearest the the steering wheel so the opposite end to the wire going to the dashcam. If it doesn't then surely the dashcam fuse will be bypassed?
I'm just making sure I understand fully how it works. At the moment I've got mine working off the plug in cigarette lighter
    Cheers

hey man nice video got a question for you do you know what type of fuse the aygo uses ? (normal, mini) since i got the same car

I can only go in the UK ones I’ve seen which are mini blade.

Iam currently installing my dashcam do you know if it matters wich way around you do that adapter piece ? (the one you put 2 fuses in)

@@Tesal must go the same way as in the video, fuses have what’s called a hot side.

Hi could you put the link for the cable under your video? Can’t find the right one 😩

The video is over five years old, I was trade so had these items in bulk, I’m now retired so sadly don’t have a link.
However all you need to do is give your reg number to a local Halfords store and they will give you the correct part number👍🏻

Yes should be a slim one under the steering cowlings.

Hello, I'm installing a camera with 3 wires GND, B+, ACC. Any idea where the B+ connects? Thanks

    • @PJsprojects

Any circuit that is always live such as central locking.

Hello I have a bmw 7 series and all my fuses are live. Would you know a way to convert a fuse (ideally my 12v lighter socket) from constant live to switched live????

    • @PJsprojects
      @PJsprojects  5 лет назад

You would need to unplug the lighter socket from underneath and snip the power feed cable (yellow/green strip). Connect a new power cable from the socket to a ignition switched acc fuse in the fuse box.

PJs projects Thanks for response. But the issue is that all of the accessory fuses are live or 30 amps otherwise I’d piggy back off them for the dash cam. Don’t know if you know a way to wire a fuse to be switched instead of live 😔

Depending on year and country of sale it should be listed in your owners guide and most are under the steering cowl plastics.
